Service was pretty good. Nice girl. Food was so bland. Salsa was like spicy tomato sauce, rice and chicken was questionable and the result was constant trips to the bathroom for a few hours after.

One star because Unilocal requires it. From start to finish this was awful. Waited to be sat, sat for over 20min before I got up and searched for a server to ask for water and chips, waited another 10min before I went and found a bus girl to ask for drinks and for a server to come to our table. Ordered and then 45min later I found a server and asked where our three taco salads and one burrito were and asked for a manager. Got our food 6min later, no drink refills, no manager ever showed up, no apology from our server, nothing taken off the bill. Cherry on top was when the server asked if we wanted more water and grabbed the pitcher by sticking his hand on the spout to take it away and placed it back on the table with his hand gripping the entire opening, anyone want to drink the germs off his hand? yeah we didnt either. sad that it is so awful when it is so convenient for hockey games! All of us will be dining anywhere else in Everett.

There are better Mexican restaurants that I would go to first in Everett. The service was good but not excellent and the food was just average, they seamed overwhelmed with customers. It was close to the event center but I would think you could fine something a lot better in that area. We wouldn’t go back.

Since this is across the street from the Arena it’s convenient for dinner pre-game. However, the food has consistently gotten to the point that I don’t want to eat here any longer. The tortilla soup is pretty good but anything else is far from Mexican food & anything fried is way over fried & tastes like what ever was fried before. Walk a little farther & get a better meal!

Came in here for a quick bite to eat before the silvertips came. Service was a bit slow to get our food orders in… we ordered the large margaritas which was a little ambious. Medium would have been just fine. I had the taco salad which was pretty good. I wish they had black beans… who doesn’t have black beans?! Also the taco shell was a little chewy like it was stale which was a little disappointing. My friends ordered the«supreme nachos» think it was going to have meat and veggies on it… they were also disappointed that all it came with was meat and cheese, so they asked for some lettuce and tomato on the side. My husband had the steak fajitas and he said they were great. One pro is they have a salsa bar and the bean dip was pretty good they brought us. So all in all — mixed reviews on this place.

Couldn’t really even say mediocre Mexican food. What a shame. Don’t waste your time. Bland and lacking any sort of flavor.

We arrived just before an event at Everett Events Center. Apparently so did most of the rest of the crowd. The server passed our table without interacting with us for about ten minutes. I got up and went to the counter to ask if we could order drinks. This still took about five minutes to execute — and the server used his bare hands to stuff limes in our beers — yikes. We then waited fifteen more minutes to have our orders taken, and food arrived 45 minutes after that. We were a captive audience so there was little else we could do but the poor service was completely inexcusable. I won’t return. Too bad because the servers and manager seem like nice people. They just didn’t know how to run a busy restaurant that night.

Ate at Papa’s since BB Pizzeria was closed until 12:30 pm due to no show cook(go figure). The different dishes we had were served up fresh and hot, all tasted different, like they should. Chimichanga was great, Chicken Fajita was as well. Salsa was different, not expected. All in all, worth another try to see if they are consistently good. Keep it up!

We came here because the pizza place across the street was closed… we’re happy we did. Food was great! I had the cheese enchilada and it’s one of the better ones I’ve had recently. I wish the salsa bowl was bigger though!

Worst service ever. Went before a silver tips game for some pre game food and took 25 min just to be seated. Then once seated had to ask waiter for something to drink and for some chips in salsa. Couldn’t even get beans or salsa. Margaritas never came because they ran out of flavor and never told me what happened, I had to ask … Food never came and waited over 1 hour. Left after having terrible service and no food.

We were in a hurry, and after years of having not dined in Everett, I pointed us to a place I remembered, Gordito’s. It was gone, sadly, but a Mexican place was still in the space, so we decided to give it a shot. And besides, the sign said ‘California Style’ which I assumed meant I could get a decent burrito. In looking at the menu, I realized that my presumptions were unfounded. It was saucy, cheesy glop like so many other Mexican joints in the area. I had my lips set on a burrito, so that’s what I ordered. I opted for the ‘poblano burrito’ which sounded interesting enough. The waiter brought us chips and the little bowl, usually filled with salsa in other restaurants, and without looking I dove in. What met my lips was not salsa, but was hot and extremely viscous. Bean dip, but totally flavorless and the unexpectedness of it made it kind of gross. I was later directed to the salsa bar. They had six types, but really only had two. Red was your standard salsa Mexicana, liquidy with chunks. But another was the same, but strained to have no chunks. And yet another was called«salsa borracha» which was the same red again, but with sour cream added(!!!). The same applied to the green salsa, where there was the standard, one with sour cream(yuk), and one with avocado. That last one was the only good one. There is a distinct type of salsa in Mexican cuisine called salsa borracha, made with beer(or pulque, good luck). It doesn’t have sour cream. Also, who puts sour cream in salsa?! After the salsa debacle, I was dreading my burrito. When it came, my fears were not unfounded. A limp tortilla, with white cheese melted on top, pretty much flat on either end with a slight bulge in the middle. A pile of the most boring looking rice and the requisite garnish of iceberg lettuce. The first several bites of the burrito were empty, nothing but tortilla. The tortilla was dry and mealy, probably some«whole-wheat,» or worse, low-carb hunk of cardboard. In the middle, I found a smattering of beans and a chile relleno. This was, somehow not even close to what I was expecting from a poblano burrito, but I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised. It was okay, but after a few bites, I was ready for this experience to be over. To boot, this awful burrito was to cost me over $ 11. In terms of quality, portion size, and price, I think they might revisit their«California Style» claim. One last note. The service was definitely service, in that it existed and wasn’t bad, but it was far from good. The waiter and the bus boy seemed like they were hired that day off the street and really unsure about what their roles were. There was a moment where the bus boy came by to fill water glasses. One member of our party was engaged in conversation, saw the bus boy with the pitcher approaching and leaned aside to allow access to his empty water glass. The bus boy stood over his shoulder, unwilling to lean in to fill, repeating«May I fill your water?» three times before the conversation was paused so my friend could give the bus boy an official invitation to fill his water glass. It felt unnecessarily timid while also bring unnecessarily demanding. A water glass does not need that kind of attention, especially at a restaurant as informal as this one. This type of service was also the standard for taking our orders, delivering our plates, and bringing our checks. Between the waiter and bus boy it is amateur hour, and it really shows. Wish I had approached our dinner decision more carefully, and I won’t be coming back to this place.

Great food! Kinda slow, unorganized service. Sat in the downstairs bar, so that may effect it, but I think a couple more servers and it’d be seamless. Regardless, the food was surprising delicious and they happily accommodated my friend’s super vegan diet. This place gets a big thumbs up from me :)

Great stuff! Delicious food, fast service. Only reason i didn’t give five stars is cuz the rice was a little salty. Otherwise, great!

I am surprised this place doesn’t have more reviews, and does it have more stars. We came here for lunch after shopping. We were greeted and seated promptly. The place looked clean and we got chips pretty quickly! Our waiter was very nice and everything we ordered was great. We had the street tacos which were delicious. They have a salsa bar with different kinds of salsa, I really like that they bring you beans with your chips as well. I think the waiters name was John will help does and he was very friendly. Hope to come here again.

Loved the old Gordito’s, but it’s even better now. We got great service and delicious food. Spinach enchiladas were fresh and yummy.(Could have used full-sized tortillas though…) Also fishbowl-sized margaritas. Great experience. We’ll be back.

Ate here again. Tried the street tacos. Similar to what you’d get at a taco truck in terms of style, but much larger and more expensive. I’d say you get your bang for your buck. The Carne asada here is really good.

We stopped in here b4 a silvertips game because brooklyn bros was packed & we were desperate. We will never come back they had one waitress for the whole restaurant waited 15 mins just to get a drink, house margarita was not just weak but tasted like dirty dish water! The crispy taco shell was the store bought type & the rest of the food wasn’t great at all. The waitress was nice just way too busy
