I decided to take a trip down to Everett for funsies to see if there was anything new to discover. There was! There was a restaurant called Papaya Tree that was having its grand opening! Exclamation points all around! Using nothing but my iPhone and testosterone laden machismo I went ahead and entered all of the information of this brand new business into Unilocal just so that I could be the first to review it. Then I decided I would fill this thing with puns just to be really, really annoying so that anyone that comes to this thing is like«oh wow, there is one review — what the hell is this guy doing?» Then I decided that wouldn’t be phở-knee so I didn’t. The veggie broth of the Phở Chay was actually pretty great. Then there were like no noodles. That was a downer. It was filled with vegetables which would be great if I wanted to be healthy. I do not. The cabbage was soft though which is okay. Very few onions which was better. There was no service at all but that’s no surprise. The place is large, clean, and well decorated. Price is fine. This place could have used more albino flamingo parades to really spice it up but otherwise it was what I expect a phở place to be. Welcome to Everett, Papaya Tree. May the fact that Papayas don’t actually come from trees not prevent you from achieving halfway decent success. (Edit: Apparently they do come from trees. Well played, Papaya Tree. Well played).
