My hairdresser had moved out of town, so a friend recommended that I go get my hair cut by Jordi. Jordi did a fantastic job cutting my hair, didn’t overtalk, was really sweet, and listened to my very specific instructions about what I wanted. I would definitely go back and have her cut my hair again the next time I need a hair cut. The facility itself was a little old and in an odd spot. The salon doesn’t have the relaxed, luxe feel that you would get at Gene Juarez or other salons. The website isn’t very helpful either so I wouldn’t bother with that. There is plenty of free parking in a small private lot though so that was nice. That all being said the price was reasonable at 35 dollars, and it included a shampoo and blowdry and Jordi straightened my hair at the end. All in all I would give Jordi 5 stars(she was great), but the facility itself gets a 3 as it was a little run down and nothing special. Edit ¾/14: Apparently Jordi doesn’t work here anymore. I wouldn’t bother making a trip out here unless you had a rave recommendation for a hair stylist as there was nothing stand out ish about the facility.

My girlfriend went made a appointment with Tracy to the Robert Scott salon. She had the idea of doing a perm on her hair. My girlfriend has bleached blonde hair and I have since learned that the number one thing anyone should know that calls themself a hairstylist is that you ABSOLUTELYSHOULDNOT perm bleached hair. She went ahead and did it anyways. After her perm appointment and getting a $ 30 discount since the stylist Tracy absolutely fried her hair to the point where she is almost bald from being so damaged. My girlfriend was charged $ 105 for this. Needless to say she was not very happy. She managed to make a appointment with a guy who came very highly Recommended and he was able to salvage almost half of her hair but informed her that if that chemical had been in her hair for another five minutes she would be bald. Luckily my girlfriend still looks great because she is a absolute dime. I don’t ever write reviews but I figured considering the circumstances I better let someone know so this dosnt happen again. They are closed on Sundays but I plan on going in there tomorrow and attempting to get a full refund. Cameron

Jordi was fabulous! She has young, fresh ideas. She did my hair and make up for a corporate event and I received multiple compliments, plus it stayed perfectly all night! I am thrilled with the service I received and the experience in the salon.

I’ve been here a couple of times and liked the gal that cut my hair, however the last time I tried to get my hair cut there– I walked in(cuz you know, they say«walk-ins welcome» and asked if there was someone available to cut my hair(thick, but pretty short– so it wouldn’t have taken hours…) the chic behind the desk looks at her computer(probably set on facebook) and says«ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, no». No «not now, but maybe at 4?» no «no one can do it now, but we can get you in at ___» Just«ummmmmmmmmmmm, no». Well okay then, I won’t be back… ever.

Kim at Robert Scott is fantastic! I don’t like to switch hairdressers, so I find someone I like and stick with them. A friend referred me(I’m a guy) to Kim 6 years ago and I’ve been coming here ever since. Kim’s like family!

The haircutter sucked her teeth. I first heard of this phenomenon in Victorian novels, and I didn’t really know what it meant until we went to get our hair cut at Robert Scott Salon. She sucked her teeth, and though I was sitting a mere seven or eight feet away while T’s hair was being cut, I couldn’t follow at least the haircutter’s half of their mumbled conversation. And then when I was the one swathed in fabric and seated in the chair, T was the one who couldn’t hear. There was one part, though, we heard quite clearly. Someone came to tell the haircutter her ex had called. She refused to talk to him, and her hair was newly bright red for the sake of a new relationship – she’d told us that already. The whole experience was a long one, something like an hour and a half for two haircuts, as the haircutter kept stopping to reminisce about how they hardly did any coloring back when she was in hair school in [the year I was born], they did mostly wash ‘n’ sets. But we had time – it was a sleepy Saturday afternoon and T’s husband was at home with the kids. And the haircuts came out surprisingly good. Mine was short and round when she’d showed me a picture of Jennifer Aniston with shoulder-length wispy hair and said she was going to make it look like that, but whatever. It looked okay. Hair, as my cousin Kimby kept saying over and over one time while she was cutting mine, grows.
