I love this place. It’s a hole in the wall sandwich place that just makes sandwiches. I don’t like fancy sandwiches with weird spreads. I just want a sandwich with quality meat and cheese. He slices it fresh right in front of you. He only accepts cash but the prices are cheap. I am definitely going to be a returning customer.

Thought I would check this place out yesterday and man was it worth it. Was just going to get a snack for myself but the owner suggested I pick up a sandwich for my husband as well. I got us both the 7 meat sandwich and chips, it was tast. I was going to give just 4 Star’s but I thought I would throw in an extra for the friendliness of the owner he was awesome.

7 meats and 2 cheeses? Yes, thank you. The full sub is basically 26-inch subs. Wai, the owner slices meat after meat after cheese after meat after cheese to prepare your sub to order, 6 days a week, except holidays and Sundays. The sandwich is hefty, it’s filling, and at $ 7.50 for what amounts to two subs, it’s a steal. The regular subs come in at $ 3.50 for a 6-inch. He hasn’t raised prices in years, and I believe this is about as inexpensive as you are ever likely to see… anywhere. Everything about his place harkens childhood memories. Not only does the owner actually make your sandwich, he asks you questions like he is curious about you as a PERSON. He tells stories. And he slices some more. The meats are good, the bread is fresh, and I also love the old school menu sign and the oil and vinegar option as a condiment. Takes me back to the good ol’ days. And like the good ol’ days, it’s cash only. This is the real deal, the big kahuna, the shazizzle. As a one-man band, it’s got it’s quirks, but homegrown all the way. If you want a dose of nastaligia, at a price that matches, try it out. Support a local and a 30-year life-long member of the community. I think you will be pleased.

The owner has been at this little gem of a shop for the past 30 years. He slices the meet and cheese fresh for your made to order sandwich. The lunch special is the best deal, whole sandwich, chips, and a drink for just over $ 5. I went to this place as a challenge to try a new place with my lunch crew from work. We all were delighted at the owners warmth and willingness to share his journey over the years. His customer service is impeccable. The space is intimate and there are signs that the place has been a mainstay for many years(faded business cards and community flyers posted on the wall) but has its own charm. Throughout our lunch, we watched him call out the order of his regular customers with precision. His service is fast and friendly. The food defiantly hit the spot with its no frills just like homemade. The chip selection is on point as is the old school soda’s that he offers. If your in North Everett and want to skip the traditional sub shop scene, check-in at this place and order the special.

Thank you Unilocal reviewers. I started working in Everett and was looking for a sandwich shop and came across this. Based on the reviews I went and checked it out. Wai is extremely friendly and the prices are fair. He only takes cash. I will be going back. Much better service and sandwich than Subway or Quizno’s.

I give the guy credit for being friendly. My problem was the way he made my sandwich. He has a garbage chute in the middle of his prep table that is made of wood. I could see that it was very dirty and needed a solid cleaning. When the meats he was putting on my sandwich kept flopping over the chute and touching the sides of the garbage chute it made me a bit sick, and lost my appetite. I told him I was not interested in eating food that had touched all the sides of his garbage can.

ok so the guy working here was friendly enough. My issue is with his cleanliness. He has a wooden prep table where he makes all the sandwiches. In the center of his station is a cut out hole where he pushes the trash through into a wast bin underneath. As I watched him prepare my sandwich I noticed just how filthy the hole was. It hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time. I then notice all the meats he is putting on my sandwich are touching the sides of the trash hole. It was disgusting. When I said I didn’t want to eat something that had been rubbing all over his garbage can he got frustrated and explained the garbage can was below the hole(underneath!) Its too bad I have to explain sanitation to restaurants. He didn’t wear gloves when preparing my food, which is not a big deal if I see him wash his hands, which he did. I wont be back.

We need more business owners like Wye. He is awesome: Genuinely cares about you, your family, life, etc. His sandwiches are great too. And his little shop is clean, comfortable, and he likes kids. Eat here instead of Subway — you will absolutely not regret it. – My standard rating disclaimer: I rate places as compared to other similar places. In other words a hot dog cart or taco stand can easily be five-stars when compared to other carts and stands.

Okay I’m giving Wye a 5 star for his eatery. He has gone above and beyond what some people do these days. Not only was he open on such a hot day but I walked in and realized I had forgotten some of my money. Because I’m a regular he was willing to let me slide until I came back in again. Now he’s not stupid so you can’t go in there and go «Dude I forgot all my money.» I actually have been going to his place off and on for about as long as he has been open. He knows me and how many kids I have and even what kind of car I drive. I usually get the #1 which has canadian bacon, salami and pepperoni with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions and if you want it oil and vinegar — which I usually forego. The condiments are mustard and mayo. He has gone away from his long sandwiches and he uses 2 big poor boy type of sandwich buns. Which I actually prefer because I can’t eat a whole one any way. Okay allow me to be corney here for a moment — the secret ingredients he puts into his sandwiches — kindness and caring. No wonder I feel so good after eating one of his sandwiches. One other note — I managed to come up with enough money.
