Unfortunately I was unable to experience the meal portion of my visit to this Restaurant. Since I will not be going back, I will never be able to give a review for the quality of their sushi which is a damn shame because I had a craving for sushi last night that if quenched… would have made me a very happy camper and a WEEKLY repeat customer, possibly for life. I recently moved to Everett and have been looking for a local sushi place to fill my unagi and salmon craving. My 1 star review is for the complete lack of hospitality we received when we attempted to enter this location last night at approximately 9:40PM, 20 minutes before they stop seating. We were greeted and told they were closed… Even though they were clearly not closed. More a case of the server/bartender wanted to go home and refused us service and seats even though the sign on the door said they close at 10PM. The door wasn’t locked, the open sign wasn’t off, and I will not be coming back. EVER. *It should be noted this incident occurred about a month ago. I only logged into Unilocal now to be informed that I never finished my review. Looking for sushi tonight and still not going back to this unfriendly joke of a late night hotspot.

Finally decided to stop by this place after hearing about it, driving by it, and literally living within 3 minutes driving time of it. Firstly, the décor is nice and the bar area is pretty cool. Music is pretty loud but that’s ok, not overly loud where you can’t hear your s/o. My girl and I walked in after another couple and we were promptly seated. There were only 4 of us in the restaurant so the service was pretty attentive. Secondly, the waitress seemed anxious. I’d assume she was new or something because she couldn’t answer some simple questions I had about the menu and was hesitant with some things. She didn’t pretend to be nice/friendly either… :/The chef was cool though. We ordered 3 things and initially got 2, Hawaiian and Kamakazi. Being silly, we were looking back and forth at the menu and we kept questioning if those two rolls on the side were two different things or just one roll split. As we were almost done, we concluded that it was indeed one roll split(Kamakazi) and we didn’t get our Crazy Sashimi roll. We got just our Hawaiian roll and Kamakazi. The chef was cool about it and the waitress was kind of ‘eh’ for lack of better words haha. Hot sake was good, food was good and flavorful and the quality was fresh. Larger pieces. Good spot to go to if you want sushi after 9.(They close at 10 and 11 on weekends I think). I want to like them more and give another star, but I’d have to try more stuff off their menu and maybe have a different waitress… I’d come back, but Oshima stays my number 1 spot for Sushi in this area.

I’ve eaten here several times and it’s always a great experience. We’ve always ordered various Sushi Rolls and have never been disappointed. The Nigiri literally melts in your mouth! Highly recommend. I feel like this place is one of Everett’s hidden gems.

I wish there was a 2.5 star as that is what I would give this place. Went here with friends, it was fine. Went here with husband where he had chicken katsu which he said was delicious and I had chicken teriyaki which was just — eh — ok. Then, recently, we decided to get 2 chicken katsus for takeout. When arrived home and went to eat it, the katsu was SOOOOOOOO extremely breaded and overcooked it was tough. Hard to eat and dry. My husband looked irritated because it was, plainly, awful. He ate his. I ended up throwing mine away. Still looking for decent teriyaki-type place in Everett. Does it exist? It’s not here, sadly.

I am new to Everett so I googled a sushi place and this one was closest. Although the atmosphere was nice and quiet, the sushi didn’t taste super fresh. I probably won’t go again.

I must have come on an off day. It was my first visit and while I’m sure the fish was fine(it tasted fine), the presentation made me question how fresh the food was. Service was good.

I’m not sure if we’ll be back. We ordered spicy tuna rolls and Seattle rolls. The Seattle rolls were pretty good but the spicy tuna was really fishy like it wasn’t fresh. None of our rolls were very cold and they didn’t hold together well either. Maybe it was just an off day but room temp, extra fishy tasting sushi is something I don’t want to experience again. There’s better options in the area and at better prices and much better quality.

Convenient location and affordable prices. Great sushi. Good taste. Fresh. Gave four stars because of the parking situation. Too many restaurant all packed into one strip mall. Big Rolls for big appetite.

Great spot. Attentive service, fast to get your food when eating in, carefully packed when take out. Food taste really good, the only compliant is a touch too much liquid in the curry. Curry, sushi, rolls all in all a good lunch spot.

The rolls here are really good, fresh, & full of flavor! We were always greeted, seated & had our order taken promptly. The food comes out pretty fast, and so do the drinks! I love the relaxing blue lighting at the bar & the dimmer lighting in the seating area. The list of rolls is pretty long & there are classic rolls, as well as creative ones! I can’t wait to come back here again!

This is a gem in Everett. My boyfriend and I come here too often, especially for take out. We are obsessed with the fried rice!!! Maybe they cook it with sushi rice? I don’t know… but I can never get my fried rice at home to taste like this. Our normal order always consists of pork fried rice and the Lion King roll. I usually try to order something different whether it’s an entrée or a sushi roll. The quality of fish isn’t the best you can get, but I can live with this in the Everett area. If I really wanted supreme sashimi I would drive 30 min to Seattle. Service is always great here and I’ve never had to wait. Came in for pick up a few weeks ago during a Seahawks game and that was as packed as I had ever seen it for dinner!

I love this place! Everything was fresh and the people that run the place rock. It was my friends birthday and they went all out for him. I never been there before but I will be back. Thank you for a great night!

Speaking from having been here numerous times over the course of 3 years, and then taking a hiatus as I lost my sushi in crime partner, I still believe that this is one of the better sushi restaurants in the Everett area. Please understand the«Everett» area. There are always going to be better/higher end sushi restaurants, but nothing comes close to the technique and the taste that the chef puts into his technique. I arrived today, and only had a 30 minute lunch. I seated myself, and was promptly given a menu and my drink order was taken. Within 3 minutes, I made my selections(Hawaiian sushi roll, and the California roll). Both for comparison to past visits and to try something new. My meal was delivered within 10 minutes, and looked outstanding. The California roll tasted like any other California roll. The rice was not super sticky to keep it together, but I also needed to refresh myself with the use of chopsticks, so I take ½ blame for the not staying together for the first 4 rolls. The rest of the 4 rolls after getting used to holding the chopsticks stayed together beautifully. The Hawaiian roll was superb and held great flavor. I am not sure what the sauce is that the chef uses for the Hawaiian roll, but it gave it great taste and mix it with a little wasabi sauce and soy sauce, and it’s a phenomenal dish. Overall, I give 4 stars as I wish the chef was as more enthusiastic as he used to be. The past 2 times I’ve been in he’s been more quiet and he used to be outgoing and so much fun. If you’re in the area and looking for a good sushi/bento box place, I’d highly recommend this area. Parking is a little tough at times, but again it’s worth it for a short drive from work in this area for a great fresh sushi meal.

Won’t be trying to go there for lunch again. Waited about 10 min for our order to be taken despite having our menus down the whole time. Only 1 person waiting on customers and he’s moving slow enough to balance eggs on his head. Like, oddly slow moving. We ordered 2 lunch items and asked how long it would take since we’re heading back to work within the hour… He said 10 min. I asked if he was sure and he mentioned a large order they were filling in back but it should only take 10 min because of that. 15min later no food and needing to leave in like… 5 min. They were to-go orders but never bothered to give us our checks. A table of 8 nicely dressed executive types sit down as we wait and as they get tired of waiting for menus they ask if we’re waiting long… I waived them off as they were tired of waiting. I verified with the guy who came out from behind the sushi bar to try catching the fleeing customers that our orders hadn’t been started left, and we left. Thank god Pickle Time is on the ball time-wise. Don’t go here for lunch if you have an hour lunch…

I won’t ever go back here. I called 30min for a Tuna roll and udon. When I got there they have started. If I can’t call ahead that’s fine but then tell me that. I was super late for my appointment. When I got there they said they started my order but clearly hadnt. There was someone there that was telling me they brought them out three wrong rolls and no water. Good service goes a long way.

I love their sushi. I tried the Hawaiian roll, the Seahawk roll, and the rainbow roll. Everything was seriously delicious. I try a rainbow roll at every sushi place I go to and this was hands down the best one I’ve ever had! Who knew such good sushi could be found in Everett… The owner gets fresh fish every morning and you can tell.

This place is great. Big rolls, fresh fish. It’s not super busy and loud. This is the best sushi I’ve had in the Seattle area. We like to get the rainbow roll and the dynamite roll. The service is good too.
