I dropped off an old wedding dress that I was having altered for an event at this place. The dress was old and had a stain on the lining which I told them I wasn’t worried about it; I was going to alter it anyway. The dress was otherwise clean and wearable. I told them I just wanted the dress freshened up so that it wouldn’t smell like it had been sitting in a closet for years, which it had. I then made the mistake of not negotiating the price with the lady at the counter. Based on all the previous comments other people had left I felt assured the price would be reasonable. Two weeks passed and I hadn’t heard a word from the cleaners so the next day I went in to check on the status of the dress. «I wasn’t expecting that one today» I heard the lady in the back say, but apparently the dress was ready enough so they found it and tucked it in some plastic. It looked like they’d done a nice enough job, but then I got the bill. Ridiculous. She charged me a quarter of a grand to have the dress cleaned! «Because that’s what we charge for wedding dresses, and you didn’t ask what the price was.» I was very upset. They had charged me for a service that I had not asked for in trying to get the stain in the lining out. I explained again that I was going to have the dress altered anyway but she remained firm in her price. «You should have asked.» They do not post their prices in the store, nor does your receipt have a price on it when you drop your clothes off. Between the poor communication, the more than two weeks it took to get the dress back, and the unfair pricing, I was very unhappy with my service and will not be returning any time soon.

I brought in my tattered white blazer and in less than a week they had it completely spotless! They paid very close attention to the sleeves, which were the dirtiest, so I am so grateful for this place. It looks like they also offer alterations and fix broken zippers too. They said they’d be able to fix the broken zipper on my king duvet cover as well. They did an amazing job for a very fair price and I would definitely recommend Wetmore Dry Cleaner to a friend.

Before my husband and I were married, we used to go out and do things. (‘magine DAT!) One of my favorite memories is an excursion to the Evergreen State Fair. I remember what I ate, what I wore, and what I bought. Hell, I even remember the weather, which started out pleasant enough but turned to a cold drizzle. We ducked into a vendors booth where I bought a handmade knit sweater-​coat, the color of vanilla ice cream.
That was about four… maybe five years ago. (Thank God my husband doesn’t read my Unilocal reviews. He’ll never know I can’t remember the year we married…)
I never washed that coat, since it had no label telling me how to wash it. It fit perfectly, and I KNEW if I attempted to clean it, it would become my Shih Tzu’s next winter outfit. I don’t give a crap how careful you are, after some time even the color vanilla takes on «The Tinge of Dinge.»
I reached that point. No amount of Dryel was gonna fix that. It was time to find a dry cleaner.
I took my dingy, sentimental sweater-​coat to Wetmore Dry Cleaners. THEY ARE AWESOME. The man who took in my coat listened to its history, and instilled me with calm: he knew just what to do to restore the garment to like-​new.
+ The cleaning was done FAST. I was in no rush to get my coat back, but it was made known to me that if I DID need the coat cleaned right away, they would prioritize it and get it done fast. I LOVE them for that!
+ The man and woman who I met (the owners, I presume) are very friendly, and take the time to get to know you and listen to your needs. You can tell that their customers are important to them. No frowns, no impatience, just friendliness and smiles.
+ The cost for the cleaning was not inflated. It was very much what I would have expected it to be for the service I got. No complaints here. Was worth every cent. Fair, and affordable.
+ My coat turned out BEAUTIFULLY. It looked like I had just bought it the day before. The knitting wasn’t snagged, the material wasn’t stretched out, no pilling, no shrinkage, and the color was revived to its original state.
I ABSOLUTELY recommend Wetmore Dry Cleaners for your dry cleaning needs. I won’t take my clothes to anyone but them.

This is a great cleaners. The owners are friendly they remembered my name after one visit. They make you feel appreciated as a customer, and they do GREAT WORK. I wouldn’t go any where else.
