Good service and honest work. I have been in this store several times and the owner has always given me good advice and excellent recommendations. Most recently, I took a set of old school BMX wheels for truing. I was very pleased with the work! It goes without saying that I will continue to bring all my projects for service. Recommended; thank you!!!

Hands down the best bike shop in the area. Great service, great customer service and a good product line. The other 2 bike shops in the area(Beverly and Mt. Greenwood) can’t hold a candle to John and his staff from any aspect. If your an experienced biker, first timer or anything in between and are anywhere near the Evergreen Park area, this is where you want to do your bike business.

My favorite bike shop and I live downtown and bring my bikes here to get tuned up in the spring because I love how honest and upfront all the employees are about everything. They will definitely answer any and all questions with the most helpful answers they can give.

I brought an old beat up Schwinn bike in to see if it could be salvaged, John did an excellent job of not only making it rideable again, but really cool looking too by putting red rims on it. Great work, fair prices, and a good neighborhood place to do business.

The owner John was especially helpful in saving my Schwinn Super LaTour after the frame broke. They housed the bike until we were able to make arrangements for A-Julian Welding and Fabrication in Alsip to solder the breach in place. Great people all around and the frame is now better and safer«than ever» according to Mike the welder. Thanks for the great service all.

I found Matt Stevenson to be very knowledgeable. Have gotten a lot of great advice over the past few years from these folks. I’ll be taking my bike around the shop again soon.

Neighborhood bike shop: nothing flashy, dependable is the word here. They’re still a Schwinn shop first and foremost, so if you have an old beater you need tires for, they’ll carry ‘em. They’ll be in stock. Today. You can walk in and buy them. I know, sounds crazy, right?! It is with some shops… You can get all your bits n bobs here as well — helmets, lights, locks, etc. etc. They got it. Simple repair they can handle overnight, you’ll be on the road the next day. Only downside is parts can be a bit pricey… paid $ 62 w/tax for three Kenda tires, nothing fancy, easily more than double what you’d see online. But factor shipping and waiting, and the good feeling that I got the tires I needed at the time I needed them, which was now. I’d have said 3.5 stars based on price, but I’ll round up for convenience. AND I supported a business that has been around for decades… that’s worth way more to me than the web.

I went here because others Unilocalers had given this spot good reviews and I like to support southside business… however this spring when I brought my bike in to be «upgraded» with new tires and a break check — was very disappointed to find that the price quoted was not what I paid at all! The man I was dealing with changed out the brakes on my bike without notice to me and it basically doubled the initial quote — when I asked him why he did that without contacting me — his response was, well you needed the work done and then proceeded to just walk away from me. In truth I probaly did need the work done — but don’t just assume I am going to get it done! Frustration beyond belief! Had I been in the position where I could not pay for the additional work(again, without consent) what then? Storage fees? Or maybe just sell my bike for lack of payment. I didn’t appreciate the presumptive behavior and the inflexible attitude when questioned. I gave them three stars because the work is good — but the truth is, my bike is on a flat now — and I will NOT be going there for the repairs!

What is there not to love about a locally owned and operated business that takes care of BUSINESS!!! I love love LOVE Park Schwinn Cyclery! I needed to have an old bike repaired and these guys were happy to help. From previous experience with«Cool Kids» cycleries, I was very hesitant to try another, but this place is just plain on ‘ol good. Many bike shops dont waste their time repairing bikes for anyone other than Lance Armstrong, but these guys will fix anything! I needed my bike fixed ASAP and John and his pit crew hooked me up in record time. Come to Park Schwinn, get your bike fixed, support local GOOd business.
