My own experience was similar to Erin’s. I took a couple of things in to be repaired, but there was nothing that the owner was willing to do. These weren’t big jobs and the items were relatively clean and new and they needed only a minor repair. I got the feeling that he was irritated that people would come in and ask for service. Maybe he is tired of his job and wants to retire. Searching Google for a real shoe repair service is probably a good idea. I won’t go back here.

I took one of my boots to Evergreen Boot & Shoe Service today to have the zipper re-sewn where it had come loose from the seam. The owner took a look at it and said that the zipper was broken, and that he didn’t do that anymore as it ‘took too much time’. I told him that the zipper was fine, but before I could explain further that it was just the stitching that needed to be re-done, he interrupted me and asked why I bothered even coming in to his shop. Honestly, I was surprised by his rudeness. I had never been there before and as this was the only shoe repair shop in Evergreen(where I reside), that was the only reason I went there. He then told me to just use Google to find a repair shop in Denver and to just go there. So I thought I’d just pass this along to anyone who is considering taking their business to Evergreen Boot & Shoe Service — take his advice and don’t bother to come in to his shop. Just use Google to find somewhere else to go where the employee doesn’t hate where he works.
