New West Physicians

I like Dr. Donati, she is my PCP. I am always able to get an appointment when I call and if it is urgent, the front desk person will try to get you in as soon as possible. I appreciate how thorough Dr. Donati is. She recently helped with some issues I was having and she got the test results and called me right away. This is a nice facility as well. Every time I have gone there they are all super nice to me.

My husband and I have both been suffering with medical problems the past 4 years. We tried for an appt at NWPhysicians because they had what they call «Shared decision making» when it comes to your healthcare. We had an appointment with Kathleen May, and she left a horrible first impression. We will NOT be visiting again! My husband has a undiagnosed stomach condition he also has a kidney infection, I myself have severe endometriosis. We are looking for a new PCP since moving from the City to the Mountains. We had released all our medical records from our previous doctors to them so they could educate theirselves about our conditions and they didn’t give a darn about them. Kathleen comes in to see us for our painful conditions and turns it into a Mental Health Evaluation. We had all our papers ready saying we were there for our pre-​existing conditions not our Mental Health, we have a psychologist for our mental health, we did not need her unexperienced opinion! My husband and I were called «KIDS» by Kathleen May and the nurse of NWPhysicians over 4 times each during our visit. The words out of both of their mouths were «You’re only 23, you’re just kids, you don’t know what you want.», «Why are you married, you’re so young?», «You should move back to Pennsylvania and get out of Colorado». They let their opinions and judgements affect their quality of care. I was so appalled and offended. She told me I need to ignore my husband of 3 years condition and focus only on myself. She told my husband and myself that our conditions are in our head. She armchair diagnosed us as possibly bipolar. She knocked on my husbands kidneys and caused him extreme pain that has lasted the past 2 days after our appointment. She didn’t even do a pelvic exam on me. She did not order any lab work for us or run any tests. We basically paid them to lecture us about our youth and the decisions we made for oyr lives. My husband and I have been friends for 10 years, together for 5 years, and married for 3 years. I am NOT going to ignore his condition, that is not how a relationship works! There was never any «shared decision making» at our appointment, just being judged for how young my husband and I had married. I’m currently speaking to my attorney about our experience at this appointment, it was an extremely unprofessional and judgemental way to handle two brand new paying health insurance holding customers. They judged and lectured us like children and left us with a referral to a Psychiatrist for both of us and another GI for my husband when he already has a GI and we already have a Psychologist. We didn’t need referrals, we needed a PCP, and they definitely proved to us that they are not the right fit. Shame on them!
