So, obviously Home Depot has its set backs. But seriously you guys, get your shit together. My husband and I have been standing by the blind cutting machine trying to figure it out ourselves(not successfully, by the way). 5 employees have walked by and looked at us. Blankly. One woman came and briefly spoke with us. We said we’d need blinds a certain length and she pretty much figured we were fine and walked away. From this my husband gathered you cut them yourself. Well he tried and couldn’t make it worked so I went and found someone to ask for assistance. After getting barked at harshly for trying to use the damn things ourselves it took 2 employees an hour to cut one dinghy blind header. Seems we were just a real inconvenience by wanting to buy stuff here today.

Not sure why all the negative reviews for our little Evergreen Home Depot. Everyone is nice and friendly and although the store is only 2⁄3 size of the ones down the hill, I almost always find what I need to get my projects done. I checked the cotter pin drawer last time I was in and it was full too, certainly not worth that one star review.

I’ve had largely positive experiences with our local Home Depot(and I’m very glad we don’t have to go to Denver all the time). Both Jewels and Bob in Kitchen Design have been great to work with — Jewels, in particular. We had a very difficult kitchen design with a set of oddball cabinets that she slogged through with us. Our order ended up getting very delayed but they discounted our order without hassle to make up for it. We ended up buying granite countertops through one of their dealers and that was a good experience. Sometimes the staff isn’t the most knowledgeable but they’re always friendly and game on to help. We’ve made dozens of trips and spent thousands here this year and they’ve been a reliable, convenient partner in our remodeling plans.

Wow. A lot of bad experiences here, which didn’t align at all with mine. First of all, the staff was very friendly, and readily available to help me out. On my most recent visit, I was purchasing a chainsaw to make hiding the bodies easier. Did I say hiding the bodies? I meant cutting down a couple of trees on my property that were damaged in the latest spring storm. Second, and important to me, the tax rate in unincorporated Evergreen is only 4.3%. I probably spend $ 3000 a year on home improvement, and that tax savings can add up fast if you are purchasing big ticket items. Think about that, liberals! I deliberately shop where the taxes are lower. Raising taxes hurts business, costs jobs and started the revolutionary war. Lastly, it’s never crowded in this store. There’s usually a smiling cashier ready to assist you right when you walk up.

Without wasting any more of my time I would suggest using this store for only emergency items. I ordered a full house of appliances and remodeling equipment. The manager was rude, insensitive and confrontational. They have someone working in appliances who approached me the first time I met him by walking up and telling me about what a big shot he is and how he is the problem solver. He messed up that day. He messed up fixing it. He messed up figuring out how to fix his mess up. He them tried to blame me. Cool. I was there yesterday and he was on carts. That’s the only job he should be doing. Not reordering appliances and processing refunds. I’ve been in other Home Depots around town and it’s not much different anywhere but this store was the pinnacle of incompetence and mismanagement.

I guess this review’s been coming for years. Seems that with an odd consistency, they NEVER have anything I go in there for. And I’m not looking for oddball items because if I was, I’d never try to find them here. For 6 years I’ve dropped in here to get things because it’s usually along my travels and for 6 years I don’t think I’ve ever walked out with everything on my list and I usually walk out empty handed after no luck with the first few things on my list, knowing I have to go elsewhere anyway. My last straw today was cotter pins. Cotter pins. Not a real difficult item to stock yet a popular piece of hardware however when I opened the drawer, it was entirely empty. So curiosity got the best of me and I opened other drawers, every one empty too. You know, if you don’t care to even keep stock of the most easy, popular, smallest of items, that tells me volumes about why I can never find anything else I go in there for.

Horrible carpet install experience! They outsource to Home Solutions, who in turn outsources the install. They failed to call us back, after 11 messages left over two weeks!!! Horrible service. Never again. Spend your money elsewhere.

Decent store. Doesn’t seem to have everything of some of the bigger Home Depots in town. Friendly folk and sure beats the drive to Denver.
