I have been driving down Kettle Run Rd. for 10 years now. I have recently seen a lot of cars parked in a spot off of the road and assumed there must have been trails. Wow, I had no idea of the nature trails and scenery in this park! It is amazing to walk through and connect with nature. There are biking trails too. From what I was able to explore, they didn’t seem like very difficult trails, so you could be a beginner to enjoy them. There are plenty of spots to sit and relax to enjoy the small ponds and streams. I’d imagine this to be a nice spot to soak your feet in the summer! I’ll look forward to many more future trips to this local gem!

South Jersey Trails blogger marks this as the second best trail on his top ten list, and it’s pretty clear to see why once you get there. There are a few different trails to head out on, including some wider bike paths. The trails are marked very clearly with colored squares so it’s difficult to get lost unless you do some serious offroading. Today I went down the red trail, and you get some pretty good views of the lakes as you wind around that trail. I followed the blue trail back to the trailhead and it was much straighter. I’m not sure if dogs are allowed or not, but today there were a few people out with dogs. Some were off leash, so just an FYI if you are bringing any small children or non-dog friendly pets on your hike. Overall, a really great place for a walk through the woods in South Jersey.
