I’m pretty sure I tasted a fly while eating here. Normally at a buffet, I like to grab a plate of food from all the stations that way when I sit down I can just start eating. Well I tried doing that but when I placed my first plate on the table, a swarm of flies already attacked it! I wish they had some kind of system to protect your food from flies. Like insect repellent candles or something! I don’t know. Also, why hasn’t anyone mentioned anything about the flies here on Unilocal?!If they did, I wouldn’t have gone!

The Sunday brunch was delicious. They had a lot to choose from and the views are amazing. Bloody Mary’s aren’t great, but everything else was stellar.

Portuguese bean soup and mochiko chicken was ono, but it was difficult to eat due to the numerous amount of flies competing with me for my food. Not even half way through eating, I gave up and covered my plate with the cloth napkin until I was offered a take-out box. I’m not sure I want to go back.

We looked at a few places for our daughter’s party and decided on Bird of Paradise because of the scenery and the positive impression that the manager, Ross, made on us. He was so helpful from the moment that we toured the venue, selected the restaurant, did our tasting, to the actual event itself. This place offers such great value, it truly is Hawaii Prince hotel style food & service, but at Ewa Beach prices. There were a lot of things that were complimentary that other venues would normally charge for, such as the tasting, cake cutting/plating, and use of podium, easels, screen, etc. Ross and his staff were truly a pleasure to work with. I also have to give a shoutout to the banquet captain who was super helpful! Actually, all of the staff were superb. Just constantly going above and beyond to make sure we were happy. We received so many compliments about how good the food was! People especially enjoyed the boneless shortribs, soy ginger fish, corn chowder, and assorted desserts. They also did a fantastic job at executing the specialty drink that I requested. Final thoughts: We’re so happy that we went with the Bird of Paradise, Ross & his team really made our party planning so much easier. Our guests were very impressed with the venue and food. Thank you again for everything!

Yum! Still my favorite place on Oahu to eat crab legs at a buffet. $ 32.95(I think?) for Sunday brunch and $ 7 off for senior citizens. They had an excellent selection of snow crab legs today as well as prime rib, omelettes made to order, fresh fruit, steamed fish, bbq ribs, bacon, sausage, taro pancakes, make your own saimin, dim sum, and more! I like eating out here because it’s so relaxing eating brunch while looking out at the golf course. The only downside here is that there is no air condition so it’s all open air and you have to deal with the flies. But if you’re from Hawaii you’re used to hot weather and flies. The desserts were so Ono too. Today I had my favorite macadamia nut pie and lilikoi cheesecake. Service was fantastic as always.

We went for the Sunday Brunch and had our sons graduation celebration. It was so awesome! Everyone in our party was kept telling us that food was so good. The crab legs were perfect didn’t need the hot butter. The prime rib was so juicy! Everyone left so stuffed! As for the staff, they were DABOMB! So friendly and so on top of everything! I would recommend this place to everyone!

Came here for Sunday brunch today since we got a coupon on the back of our Safeway receipt for«buy one, get one 50% off». My fiancée and I came here once for a 1st birthday party about 4 years ago, and from what we remembered, the food was pretty good. The wait staff was very friendly! From calling to make reservations, getting seated, water refills, and clearing dishes, everyone was smiling and appeared to love what they do. The food was FANTASTIC! Everything I tried was good! Aside from the typical breakfast food, I especially liked the crusted Ahi, Teri beef, Omelette station, and of course the Prime Rib! The desserts were the same ones from the Prince Waikiki buffet, including the bread pudding, custard, and taro cheesecake. All in all, it was a great buffet experience. 5 stars for service, food, and atmosphere. I highly recommend this place and will be letting my friends and family know about it!

Love this place! Been coming here a long time! This is our place of choice when we have lunch ins with my work place! We normally call when we are coming in so they are ready for about 20 hungry women. The service is always great and the food is on point I have never heard that the food is bad everyone is always happy with what they ordered. We are always leaving satisfied with the food and the service! We will continue to come her for our lunch ins for more years to come! Heads up foods to look forward to are their burgers, best French fries, loco Moco and salads!!! Yummy!!!

First time coming here to celebrate my parents wedding anniversary. Im not sure what the cost per head was for their brunch buffet but I can tell you that the food wasn’t all that great. There are far better places to eat for brunch. Serving Prime rib doesn’t make this place fine dining either. Food was mediocre. Tried their pancakes and it was left out too long so by the time I took a bite off of it it was hard and rubbery! Their dessert table was pretty sad. They were always out of things and never being refilled. The only good thing about this place was the crab legs, but they kept putting off refilling them too. Service is really non-existent. We wanted to grab some alcoholic drinks so we went up to the bar only for the bartender to tell us she can have a waitress take our drink order at our table… umm okay, so we had to wait another 10 minutes. After eating here we all just wanted to bounce.

Best Sunday brunch that I have been to in awhile. Prime rib was excellent. Crab legs were plentiful and fresh fish both hot entrée and poke were delicious. The manager and all of His staff were warm and friendly and gave such great service that made the overall experience a delicious and delightful afternoon celebration.

Sunday Brunch is a good deal… especially for Seniors. $ 25.99 for 50 years and older. Nice spread of buffet items and unlimited Snow Crab legs… bring your shell openers. Bread pudding is top notch… along with other tasty treats.

Had my wedding and wedding reception last evening 9÷9÷14 at the Bird Of Paradise Restaurant at the beautiful Hawaii Prince Golf Course in Ewa Beach! The location is drop dead gorgeous with a lake on grounds that are beautifully maintained. Ross Butterfield is the Food and Beverage manager at the restaurant and he is the man to see if you want a seamlessly smooth wedding and reception! He was the nicest guy, very accommodating and easy to work with! He had great suggestions and his protocol and timelines for everything that needed to be done was explained and dealt with in a professional and timely manner. Their part of the wedding set up was done as promised which made our part run smoothly without any glitches. The staff was friendly and efficient and at the end of the evening came up and warmly congratulated me! That really put a nice end to the event! Now the food!!! I cannot count the number of guests(I had a party of 119) that came up to me and raved about the food! The Prime Rib! Pork Medallions with Prosciutto Wild Mushrooms with three peppercorn sauce! Char Grilled Island Catch with Ginger Butter and fresh fruit salsa! Chicken Piccata with Lemon, Capers and Parmesan Cheese! 5 different kinds of salad, the Roast Duck with bean sprouts and Mango being a lot of people’s favorite including mine! Yummy Lobster Bisque for a soup! And fabulous apps and desserts which were raved about by all! If you’ve never been to a weekend brunch buffet there, you don’t know what you are missing! The Prince Hotel“s food has always been superb BUT so is their restaurant at the golf course! Absolutely great!!! Thanks guys for helping make our wedding a great memory!

Pretty much your average brunch buffet on a Sunday. Local favorites, omelettes and roast beef. .salads and fruit. Open breezy and comfy. even on a hot Ewa day, its very comfortable and good service. We always come here vs Waikiki brunches at double the price.

Had been wanting to try this place for at least a year now… FINALLY got to try it, and it was well worth the wait. FOOD: Awesome(had to remind myself that I shouldn’t have been so surprised as it’s still a Prince property)…in any case, great quality and variety! Prime rib carving station, Omelette station, fresh poke(clam poke was EXCEPTIONAL), and snow crab accompanied the normal brunch fare. ATMOSPHERE/SERVICE: Top notch! Very attentive team service, and very friendly to boot! We were able to enjoy very nice tradewinds wafting into the restaurant through the open french-type doors. PARKING: plentiful Definitely will be back(what a deal for just a little over $ 30)…the combination of quality, service, and great food guarantees a return visit from us!

The Bird of Paradise is located at Hawaii Prince Golf Course in Ewa Beach. This is the go to place of my boss. She likes to take the staff out to eat every now and then for lunch and it is almost a guarantee when we go out this is where we will be going. Hey — free lunch? I’ll always take it! The staff is always very friendly. The same lady always waits on us and she does a wonderful job with a big group(We always have at least over 10 people). We always sit outside and the view is beautiful and the gentle breeze wonderful. Makes for a nice break in the middle of my work day. Before I was vegan I’d get the burgers and they were tasty(Though not best by any means on the island) with fries. Everyone I work with seems to order the plantation iced tea so it must be good. The other day I ventured here with work and that made my vegan ways of eating a bit challenged. I had the veggie burger and it was quite tasty. I didn’t want to be that person asking all kinds of questions about if there was milk in the bun, what the fries were fried in, etc. So I just went with the Garden Burger as it was at least vegetarian. My co-workers get the club sandwich often, pastrami sandwich and loco moco and all talk highly of the dishes so I’d say they must be good I’ve only come here when it is being paid for by someone else so I can’t comment on price. Parking is always easy too which is a plus.

I didn’t come here for anything special — just lunch… and a view. I had a partial view, but more on that later. Their dress code is «resort» and my beautiful resort outfit was wasted amongst the flip-flop sporting patrons. I think my husband and I were the youngest ones there… and we are no spring chickens. Ordered their pupu platter to share with my husband and what an utter disappointment. Calamari fried to the point where rubber bands would have been a better alternative. Chicken wings were deep fried while having been frozen — the oil was not the proper temperature because *everything* that was deep fried on that plate retained the oil. It’s simple frying basics. While there is nothing wrong with deep frying frozen chicken wings, it’s a bit revolting to not cook them long enough to get rid of the ICECOLDCENTER. For my entrée I had their club sandwich. How can you go wrong with that? Well… you can. Soggy bread from overly washed lettuce… unripened avocado… a slice of turkey and maybe a sliver of bacon… Yes, you can go wrong. I should’ve ordered a burger, but I can get a burger anywhere… Hubby’s entrée? Three bites later, he shoved it aside. We couldn’t really complain to our server because the tag team they were were NON-EXISTENT. The one thing we could console ourselves with was the view… until they obscured it by putting up some make-shift wall. $ 50 + tip later, we ended up stopping off at McDonald’s to make up for the most unpleasant island meal I had ever had. When McDonald’s is a better alternative, you know food is bad. PS If you’re going to be playing up that you’re a higher end quality lunch restaurant, I’d expect a nicer set-up. I’m all for island casual, but the stuff there wouldn’t even qualify as tasteful or classy — just sloppy and tacky.

The advertisement in the«InsideOut Hawaii,» magazine was the little push that I needed to finally check this place out. The restaurant currently has a special for, «Buy one get one for half off,» for the Sunday brunch buffet. I think the special goes on until April. It cost $ 30.95 for adults and $ 15.50 for keiki. The Bird of Paradise is located at Hawaii Prince Golf Course in Ewa Beach. The restaurant has a nice view over looking the golf course. The staff was nice inside the restaurant and around the golf course. The buffet was located inside and outside of the restaurant. Where else on the Leeward coast can you get a brunch buffet like this? The dungeness king crab was moist, juicy, and warm, two thumbs up for the crab. Another two thumbs up for the buffet was the made-to-order omelets. I choose Portuguese sausage, ham, cheese, and mushroom. Who can go wrong with waffles topped with strawberries and whipped cream? The bacon that they offered was nice and crisp. Outside of the restaurant they had salad, poke, tako, sushi, a variety of fruit, and a saimien station. That I regretfully was not able to try. The slow roasted prime rib was great. The buffet also included a choice between two different fruit juices. I would have given this place four stars but there were knats and flies flying all over the place. Thank goodness most of the food had a cover. Since the doors are open and half the buffet is located outside, I know that it’s inevitable. Another reason is that there was an automatic gratuity added to our bill. The server, ATTHEEND told us with the special that the gratuity was added, but I didn’t read that in the advertisement. Kinda sketchy? I’ve head about restaurants adding gratuity for a large party but it was only my husband and I. The food was well worth the buy one get one offer. The staff as a whole was really nice. The knats, flies, and the surprise automatic gratuity earned this place three stars for me. Will I return? Most likely. You probably have to drive all the way to Waikiki to eat at a buffet that offered this type of variety of food.
