Friendly staff, consistently good pizza. Chicken fingers also pretty good. Not great ambience for eat-in, would recommend for take-out.

Love Danny’s! Order the Ranchero Pie! Really friendly and quick delivery. The fried chicken is good and the garlic knots are awesome! I order from them regularly. They also have great specials during football season.

This is a great little pizza place and the Tomato Pies are excellent. If you are a looking for an old school tomato pie with a nice, thin crispy crust… this is your place! Even thought they cut it funny, apparently that’s a thing!

Really affordable eat-in specials and take-out is quick. In-store service could be improved(takes away to get your order, pay for it). Food is definitely above average for the area and prices are fair. Best pizza in Ewing!

I wish I read the reviews before I placed for a delivery order. It was Monday night football and obvi I need pizza and wings. Tomato pie isn’t a very«football“like snack to have so I just ordered a half plain half pepperoni pizza with hot wings. I emphasized RANCHONTHESIDE because I need it for the crust. The pizza was good, not the best I’ve ever had but can’t complain and same with the wings but THEYFORGOTTHERANCH. Even though I over emphasized pleeeaaaseee don’t forget my ranch, and they charged me for it. Soooo next time I’ll be sure to order the tomato pie and check if they gave me ranch before I give them a good tip. Better make it up to me hmph

Oh, Danny Boy… Why so unassuming? Why hidden in a forlorn strip of 20th Century retail excess? Why aren’t you sharing your gift with the entire Tomato Pie craving world? The lights. The lights are calling!!! Your T. Pie is among the best I have sampled in my pizza-loving life. It is in the local pantheon of greatness occupied only by a few other mozzarella souls — DeLo’s, JoJo’s, Ivy Tavern, Joey’s, and a few others in the Mecca of the Pizza Universe, Brooklyn. Micro thin crust firm enough to hold the topside without a quiver. Sauce, chunky and mildly sweet with a hint of basil. Cheese hidden beneath with a gentle saltiness to balance the smiling acidity above. Not a single drop of oil on the aluminum tray despite a spritz of pressed olive applied as the final touch before reaching the oven. And, the sweet Italian sausage, home grown, and crumbled around the disk amply, with a wonderful aroma and fresh textured taste. Though you labor in obscurity, Danny, your artistry is not lost on those who treasure the magic only a steamy right out of the oven slice of heaven can provide.

This place’s tomato pie pizza is off the rocker(absolutely amazing), and this is one of two pizza places I’d actually be willing to go to myself(I’m not a huge pizza fan). The owner, Danny, is nice and amiable to interact with. He’ll be welcoming and help you out if you needed something. Look out for the daily deals as well; they’re well worth it. Other than that, the only reason why I gave this place four stars instead of five is because the delivery is terrible. I had ordered from a local campus in the area to a specific area. The delivery woman that day called me and yelled at me over the phone to meet her where she was and told me that she couldn’t find where I was because the campus was too big. First of all, I honestly believed she shouldn’t be yelling on the phone to a paying customer to meet her just because she’s lost, and also I believed she should have been properly trained to talk to a customer well over the phone and know her way around one of the only campuses around the area(a huge influx of customers would be college students anyway). Anyhow, I learned my lesson then not to order delivery, and I went to Danny’s myself to get my pizza.

Love this place. My co-workers and I order lunch there at least weekly. The salads are an excellent deal for the money. The cheesesteaks are among the best ever.

Um, no. Drive a mile up the road to Palermo’s for a much, much better tomato pie. Staff at Danny’s was great, the bread and olive oil for dipping we got before the pie arrived was good, the tomato pie looked awesome but… it was tasteless. Perhaps amping up the salt in the crust might help but the cheese also didn’t have much flavor. Tomatoes were sweet though not as sweet as Palermo’s. It was worth a try, but since we live an hour away, it was a disappointment realizing we’d come all that way and wouldn’t be enjoying a great tomato pie that day. Also, I thought I saw a banner in the window that said large tomato pies were $ 10, but we were charged more. Not that I care, we’d pay $ 20 for a great pie, but if you go, look for that sign and inquire.

I got exactly what I was looking for. Quick delivery, reasonable price, and good quality pizzeria food. The pepperoni pizza was prepared very well with a floppy crust, enough cheese, and plenty of pepperoni. The wings were juicy and big and the hot sauce was spicy but also had a bit of a tang to it. They were very good. Overall, we were happy and will likely order again when looking for pizzeria type delivery.

Truly one of the better Trenton style tomato pies. Great service and very reasonable prices. I live about 20 miles from Danny’s, but they are certainly worth the trip. They give all the well established Trenton-style Tomato Pie places a run for their money while not trying to mimic them(i.e. Delorenzo’s, Papa’s, Palermo’s, etc). Inside is nothing fancy, but clean and well maintained. The pies are definitely the highlight, which is what I look for. The chopped antipasto was pretty good and was enough for the four of us as an appetizer. My son had the Mac and cheese and loved it. I tried it and thought it was really good(stove top made, not baked). Very creamy and a nice balance of cheese and butter. If you like tomato pies and are in the Ewing area give it a try.

Came here thanks to the reviews and found a great thin sliced pizza! I know some people really like the dough, and some people like it so thin it’s crispy… well this is more on the thin side but not crispy and not too much crust. I like it because it’s distinct and makes you remember the slice of pizza. Sadly sauce was just ok, maybe because it was later in the day after a snowstorm so the pizza had been sitting awhile? Well what they did not have in «umpf» they had in customer service. The young lady behind the counter was very friendly and informed me of specials when she noticed I was trying to be cheap and split a soda with my beau. I also love that she was learning to speak Spanish to communicate with the kitchen employees, and that’s always endearing to see. So after a few thin slices, I decided I still needed some dough and ordered some zeppoles! They were very good since they were nice and hot and were topped not just with powdered sugar but cinnamon too. I absolutely loved them, even though they were donut shaped, I appreciated that even the zeppoles had their own twist here. Needless to say I will be returning, they have great Sunday football specials and some specialty pies I would love to try.

Great! Someone said they posted a review and now it’s gone – there are two separate«Danny’s» on Unilocal so it is probably posted in the other listing. They are both the same place! One says Marazzos and the other says Parkway Ave Anyway, I don’t normally like pizza but I ordered with my boyfriend and loved it! Thin pie and just the right amount of sauce. Good quality ingredients on my boyfriend’s all-white pie. I hope they continue to get more business. We will be ordering more frequently to check out their weekly specials :)

Trenton tomato pie is alive and well in Ewing. My wife and I are die-hard Delorenzo’s fans and tried Danny’s after working our way through the other tomato pie/pizza options in Ewing(Palermo’s, Red Star, Mamma Flora’s, Villa Rosa, etc). Danny’s is, hands-down, the best by far — which is odd, because we hadn’t heard of it even though they’ve been open for more than six months. The crust is nearly perfect and the sauce is fresh. Seriously, the best pie we’ve had next to Delorenzo’s. Can’t recommend it enough. Not to mention, the staff were extremely friendly, both on the phone and in person. Needless to say, we’ll be going back again soon.

I am basing this review on their tomato pie. Fairly new place and I agree with Johns review. This is probably the most underrated pizza place in the area. Around the same quality as Delorenzos and ItsNuts but with the credit cards and delivery. My new«go to» pizza place.

Best pizza in Ewing and I’ve tried them all! I’m a Ewing transplant and have never found a pizzeria that has great pizza. Red Star is the best of the worst, but they will always burn their pies. Danny’s is crispy and tasty. Their dough can handle the high heat of the ovens. Their seating area is open and clean and even if it is packed you wouldn’t be right on top of everyone. Everyone definitely needs to stop settling for ‘ok’ pizza and eat here. You won’t be disappointed. I wish I could give them 10 stars!

Really, 3.5 stars. Very close to the gold standard Trenton Tomato Pie. The consistency of the crust is exactly what you would expect from DeLorenzo’s, et al; it even held up to multiple toppings. The crust’s flavor, however, was not 100% «there.» Can’t put my finger on it, but it was missing a little something. Prices are quite reasonable, at $ 11 for a large plain, and $ 16.95 for a large«works»(pepperoni, sausage, peppers, mushrooms). Staff are pleasant and friendly. Hopefully this place will catch on.
