Excellent food, but every few months they keep raising their prices and because of that I am not able to enjoy their food. They updated their dining room and since then they have also upped their prices. Unfortunately I am writing this review because I am so disappointed with the fact that it is getting almost impossible to eat there unless I really want to treat myself!

Very good and fresh food. Nice clean décor on the inside. Ordered shrimp tempura for an appetizer which was very good. Then for dinner had a Firecracker and Godzilla roll. I really enjoyed both rolls. 2 rolls was more than enough for one person to eat. I was satisfied and stuffed at the end of the meal. My girlfriend enjoyed her Sweetheart roll and spicy shrimp rolls as well. Service was quick and the staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and will revisit again.

It’s slipping fast into suburban mediocrity. First, the Thai food is just awful. The Pad Thai is mush. The Japanese food is not too bad. The Chinese is from the 1950s. Nothing tastes authentic. It could all come from a box. Its popular because other Asian restaurants in Ewing are inexcusably awful.

The bff and I went for a quick lunch… she had the hot salmon box I had the cold. The miso soup was yummy… I didn’t like the ginger dressing at all and the lettuce wasn’t cut… the bff liked it… They give u two little appetizers in the box. nor sure of the name but it was good. Salmon sushmi was good and very fresh. Spicy salmon roll was average… a bit dry until I added the soy but… still average. I also ordered the roll with the whole baby crab… was kind of upset with the portion size. I will give it another shot and order something a lil out of my comfort zone

I have ordered twice so far. Service is quick and efficient and the lunch combos are great! I like the 3 rolls for lunch! Banzai roll, salmon and yellowtail. I really love the Austin roll it’s my favorite! The scallop Sushi was really fresh!

Dig the fresh food. Price pretty good. Needs a cheese table and desert cart. Their tuna rolls have a lot of tuna in them.

Fresh ingredients is what makes this place sit above the rest. From there the owner really cares about his clients. Too bad it’s in a strip mall.

Food: good Price: reasonable Service: the waitress solicited an increase to the tip from my gf while I was at the bathroom which is unacceptable and disgusting. The owner has the skin in the game, employees don’t as much, so my previous 1 star may have been a bit overblown since 1 bad apple(that waitress) shouldn’t ruin the rest.

I’ve been going to this place for the past couple of years at least once every month as I live and work in the neighborhood, and always had a good experience. Unfortunately, I’m not much into Sushi, so can’t comment about it. That said, I’ve tried almost every other item on the menu and always came out satisfied. Food has always been good, the staff polite and friendly, a clean dine-in area and fair price. I’ll go here again.

It was terrible. I know sushi and this fish was not fresh. It was so soft that it was almost«mealy» tasting. Terrible. They give you a good amount but it was almost inedible. The fried ice cream came in only one flavor and the service was quick but the waiter was not attentive. He kept walking away, wasn’t helpful and had a nasty attitude like he didn’t want to be bothered. I don’t know how they got 4 stars before.

I’m proud to say this is my hometown sushi bar. I’ve been coming here for years and with good reason. This is the freshest fish, that I know of, within a 50 mile area. They have a great selection of chef rolls with all kinds of interesting flavor combinations. But I mainly stick to their nigiri. I just can’t see covering up such fresh product with a whole bunch of sauce. The owner Tony is very personable and can usually be found chatting with a customer or just overseeing operations. You can tell he takes pride in providing a quality experience for his patrons. Some of the same staff have been serving me for a long time and get high marks in my book for service. Other reasons to like this place? Their Chinese food is stellar, the restaurant has been recently renovated, and it’s BYOB!!! I may be biased because this is my hometown sushi bar, but I would not come here for as long as I have if it just wasn’t this good.

Stopped in for a quick dinner. I was dying for a sushi fix. All I can say is Ichiban Roll. Excellent. And the folks are friendly and attentive. I really like this place.

High quality fish /ingredients, generous portions, thoughtful presentation, an owner who takes exceptional care of his customers. I have been to East Sushi 10 – 15 times and it has been consistently great. A few other thoughts on East sushi: I live in Philadelphia and have yet to find a place in my city that is comparable in terms of quality and price. When I am asked for a sushi recommendation, it is always #1 on my list. Suffice to say, GO!

Shocked at how good the sushi was. When I arrived in the strip mall to find the restaurant I was a little worried by the lack of people and cars. Walking in to the restaurant I was one of four people, still a little concerning — but I though«hey, let’s give it a shot». The waiter took my order and very shortly after that I had my three rolls. They were huge! I eat sushi pretty regularly, but over never had rolls like this. They were huge and and not huge because they were packed with rice. Excellent cuts of fresh fish packed neatly in well made rolls. If I am back in the area I will definitely eat here again, I highly recommend it.

This is a very nice place. It is clean, quiet and we’ll managed. They greet you at the door and your food comes fast, good and hot. 4 stars given for the slight language barrier we had and instead of sushi rolls on my Bento box I got sushi pieces. No problem because I’m more adventurous that most, but could be a problem for someone else. The food is great!

Still @ 4 Stars. Returned to try a little Sushi in the form of Salmon Skin Roll. It was well presented, tightly wrapped, and tasty. Very happy for the low salt soy sauce option on the table. Also ordered Chicken Pad Thai, and while amply plated with plenty of fresh ingredients, the taste was not what I expected from this Thai dish. Wrong spice mix to my palate. And, my pet peeve again presented itself. Although there were only 3 tables occupied in the house, we were all seated on top of each other, disturbing the tranquility of the well crafted environment. I just don’t want to eavesdrop on what the next booth has ordered before as they show off for their guest, nor how many sushi roll orders should be eaten in vs. taken home to the kids. Give us all a little space and we can enjoy our East Sushi in peace.

Ordered take out from here tonight. My fiancé got 2 sushi rolls and I ordered some Chinese dishes. He said the sushi was only ok. Everything was drizzled with mayo(which he hates) but this was not indicated on the menu. Also, the rolls kept falling apart. More rice left on the dish than on the rolls. I ordered the won ton soup. Broth was very flavorful, but the dumplings were so gummy. Egg roll was ok. Would order it again. For an entrée I had the ho fun chicken. I saw a picture of the beef dish on this site and thought it looked amazing! I had to add soy sauce and sirrachia because of the lack of flavor. Still not edible. So greasy and chewy. Not worth the calories so I threw the whole thing away after eating about a cups worth. If you like generous portions, then on that point this place will deliver.

Eh… sushi was good but hot food was not so good. Mongolian beef was very bland and from the way the rest of my dinner party’s plates looked outside the sushi noone else enjoyed their meal either
