The Home Depot

Home Depot is everywhere, and it is always my go to for a lot of things. This store is the closest to my house and I go there once a month at least.
The reason for my 3 stars is that, every time you ask a question to an employee that is near by, it’s never the right person to ask, even when they are right by the item you ask about.
Also, I notice that a lot of things tend to be displaced, and not where they belong. I was purchasing shelves, and it took me 15 minutes to find 6 of the same size, only because they were all piled up in the wrong place.
Hire people with a bit more knowledge and common sense. Teach them to know the store by heart, so when you ask for direction they don’t have to rely on someone else.

«You can do it, we can help.» The Home Depot slogan is not too far off. I would have rated them a 4, if not for a commonly-​expressed issue of not having enough knowledgeable staff around when they’re needed.
This trip was to pick up 33 gallon trash bags, a few energy-​saving LED bulbs of various types and a special connector to hook a Python fish tank water changing hose to the powder room sink. Our plumber replaced a Moen bathroom sink fixture with a new Delta. Unfortunately the aerator on the new fixture has a inside thread instead of an outside thread, which makes the old adapter unusable. After checking with several local plumbing supply stores, and the Python website with no joy, I was able to custom make the connector I needed with several plumbing adapters available from Homer. The wife was a «happy camper» when I brought the new connector home and hooked it up. I’m sure her fish were happy too, they just didn’t tell us so.
In any event, Home Depot usually has most of what I need when I really need it. I did do it, and they did help — they got the slogan right.
