I seriously love heartbreaker! I’ve worked in the customer service industry for 15+ years, 7 ½ of which have been in retail. So I know the job is hard, but after my experience at the Minnetonka location I have to say something. I walked in the place wearing almost everything from heartbreaker– my boots, jeans, tank, light sweater, scarf AND earrings. After being in the store about 5 minutes an older woman with bleach blonde hair finally says hi. (This is the norm, the people that work there look pretty and don’t give an F about sales) but she proceeds to give me the stink eye and stare me down like I’m a shoplifter. Was this because I passed your scarf display 3 minutes ago? Because if you had looked up from your conversation when I walked in you would have seen I wore it in! This woman proceeded to glare at me the whole time I was shopping. Umm hello!?! I walked in wearing all of your clothing and a $ 400 COACH purse, can you say «target market»!?! (Not to mention I’m the least of your shoplifting worries) then when I headed to the dressing room I was assisted by a very sweet girl, I want say her name was Sophie. (Sorry for forgetting, you were a doll) after trying on an outfit I admitted to her I had recently lost weight and asked her opinion. She also grabbed me at least 8 other things she thought I should try. (She was great!!) She put them all in my dressing room, but knowing their dressing room policies and that it was too many items, after trying them on and rejecting them I put them on the go back rack outside my room. As I’m dressing back into my clothes, the same older woman is outside my curtain saying, «did she really just go in there with ALL of this. Just tried to slip right by us. «while the younger associate proceeds to say «ugh I know where all of this goes, ugh but I reeeally don’t want to put it all back. «I was appalled. I wanted to poke my head out and say «hey if you had been paying attention to me, 1 of 3 customers in your store, you would know YOUR associate brought me all of that. «I didn’t but headed to the checkout being mean mugged by the older woman. I proceeded to buy my clothes and a $ 40 gift card, which the girl who admitted she had worked there over a year didn’t know how to do.
Listen I get the teenage girls probably dig the rejection thing, but this wasn’t just a lack of customer service, this was straight up customer rejection. I have never written a review but my experience was just so unacceptable. You are obviously not hurting with you recent store openings, but I will say this this as a current retail manager– imagine what you could make if you hired NICE people with customer service experience! I could quadruple your sales!
Sadly I will admit I’ll continue to shop at heartbreaker, for the great deals and cheap flavor of the month items, but I WILL NOT shop at this location!
Hopefully this actually means something to the owners. If not, whatever… just don’t shop at this location.

Horrible customer service. The employees walk around like they are gods gift to the earth. The woman that was at the register looked like she should be working at Ann Taylor. Also, she talked to the employee next to her and ignored me. I won’t be shopping here again.

I’ll excuse the high school snobby fashionista wanna-be’s that work here because the prices are so wonderful! Tons of cute sweaters under $ 20. I visited there on saturday and they had a great sale on all things Juicy Couture. Great Selection and Super Cheap. Lots of cute stuff. I’d drive out of my way to do a little browsing at this place.
