Great atmosphere, food, and fair prices. My wife and I came here for the first time and we’re delighted by the entire experience. I’d recommend this to anyone

Have had the pleasure of dinning here a few times. A) great interior– interesting décor and plenty of space. B) they have a extensive menu. Thai and all type of Asian. Also terrific sushi. C) try their soups — they are terrific. Anyone them. All made in house. D) best Philadelphia rolls w/great smoked salmon! Give it a try. Well worth the trip. Delicious…

I have never been to a sushi restaurant with such big pieces of sashimi! The salmon sashimi is so buttery delicious! All of the fish was extremely fresh and the plates were filling and amazing. Our server, Jisoo, was very attentive, gave suggestions, and made sure we were cared for. The restaurant itself is very modern, nicely decorated and I love the tall cushion booths. I can eat in peace with my group without seeing the people sitting at the booth in front of me.

Have been here for eat in and take out. Awful service and average food at BEST. Tonight’s takeout was awful — way overpriced for what we ordered and awful quality

Our take out order tonight was beyond disappointing. We spent $ 79.00 for 3 dishes, two appetizers and a tuna roll. The portion sizes were very small and the food tasted below average. The only good thing about ordering from this place, is that we know never to order from there again.

I want to know what other people ordered who have rated this place more than one star. I have given this place two tries now and both times I can honestly say it’s been some of the worst food I’ve ever had. The Tom Yum soup tasted like someone took a bottle of soy sauce added water put it in the microwave and served it up — salty and disgusting. I have also had several other dishes from their Thai spring rolls to the coconut soup to the Indian curry dish to several others and they were all below average. Save your money and go next-door to the grocery store and make your own food — anything — even a frozen meal would be better than what I’ve had here. It’s really a shame because I live about a mile away from here and we are always looking for more local places to eat and this place is officially off the list — I will never eat here again. Overpriced and extremely sub par food.

Nice space and good sushi. The high school girls at the reception desk are not good at their jobs; the one who greeted us Friday night couldn’t even muster up a smile and seemed to regard us as an inconvenience. The first time we were there, the service was awful, but we had a great server on Friday night. Pretty expensive for sushi, but you do get more for your money than in some other places.

My family had dinner here last weekend. I was excited to have a new dining option in Excelsior. It was just ok. Our waiter was fantastic-extremely outgoing. Our drinks were good as well. The food was just ok. The sushi was the star of the meal. We had two rolls that were excellent. The rest of the meal wasn’t very good. My potstickers had a strange flavor to them. My husbands soup was bland. I would definitely go back for the sushi but I probably wouldn’t order much else.

Take out. Maybe I caught them on a bad night. I ordered the mango dish with Thai chili(w/chicken). It was pretty awful. The chicken was rubbery and tasted of fish; to the point where I asked my wife to try it and make sure it actually was chicken and I wasn’t crazy. The veggies and mango weren’t very good either. The chicken was off-putting enough for me to never give this place another chance. I tried to power through, but 4 bites in I pitched it in the trash, completely dejected. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because the wife really enjoyed her chicken fried rice.

We came across this restaurant not really knowing what we were hungry for. We were greeted warmly by Yuki who made some great recommendations. We had Chicken Curry and Beef with Thai Peanut Sauce and fried rice. They were all awesome. You could tell the food was made fresh and not a bunch of frozen veggies thrown together. We found the portions generous(we had leftovers) and not badly priced when compared to places like Benihana. If you are looking for some cheap Chinese food, this is not it. But if you’re looking for great Asian cooking, you’ve come to the right spot. Not only would I return for the great food but Yuki was one of the best waitresses I’ve ever had. She was knowledgeable about the menu, friendly, and on the spot with refills, etc.

We enjoyed great service and great food! We went with the sushi, seaweed salad, and fresh spring roll. The presentation was fantastic. Our server was new(as the restaurant is only three weeks old) and there were a couple of questions he had to ask about, but he was happy to find out our info and was prompt. It did get a little loud by the end of our dinner, but it could have just been the crowd. I only wish they had outside seeing.

My husband and I had our first visit to Miyabi last night. The food was fabulous, our waiter(Sai) was wonderful with excellent suggestions and we had a fantastic experience. I had heard good reviews from friends, and I agree — what a great addition to Excelsior! We will definitely be back!

This new place is definitely worth checking out. I was not disappointed but in fact my expectations were exceeded. From the food(well executed and crave worthy) to the service(friendly and knowledgable– ask for Jisoo!) one may find plenty of reasons to enjoy coming here. It’s a beautiful restaurant providing a really great atmosphere to boot. I like that they offer so many different kinds of food too, not only sushi, so that widely varied tastes/preferences may be easily catered to. I also find it worth mentioning that someone in our group has a gluten dietary restriction and the staff were very helpful in trying to find options for them. I thought that was great and a step above and beyond other places. Some have mentioned prices are somewhat on the higher side but keep in mind you are paying for the quality of the experience, service and food which Miyabi delivers in all those departments very well. Was impressed; will be back!

Love this place! Will definitely come back! The atmosphere was really nice and the service was exceptional! Our server’s name was Jisoo and he recommended some really great dishes! Really knew his stuff! my favorite was the Calamari Dragon! Go here if you want great sushi for reasonable prices! Super fresh and creative. The sushi chefs really know how to make a plate look pretty! I’m all about good tasting food but good presentation is always a huge plus in my book!

ZEROSTARS! Instead of ordering take out here, I would of been better off eating a $.29 bowl of ramen noodle! I paid $ 60 for 3 entrees and it all went in the trash! Not even the steamed rice was good. Must of been sitting out all day. The Orange Beef was $ 18 for«meat» that was more like leather. Pad Thai was the worst I have ever had. Tao General Chicken was a sauce fried crust over chalky chicken nuggets. Yuck! On top of how bad the food is, they over charged me by making me pay for a side of rice when rice comes with it. To round off the horrible experience, I waited 35 minutes or so in the restaurant for the togo food. When I asked about it, they had it sitting behind the counter for awhile already. Pretty place, crappy food and adolescent service.

I liked the atmosphere, I liked the jalapeño yellowfin tuna, I liked the variety of sushi, but the server could have been more polished and more hospitable. They are competing in a small market and I expected more from a startup. If I was given the choice, I would choose Yumis.

The service was terrible always had empty drinks and water. The food was bad and small. Ordered pad Thai it smelled like feet. The sushi was really oily. I had never seen that before my fingers glistened when I touch it it’s like they dipped it in oil. We had 4 meals all came at different times the last 20 min after the first. They forgot to bring some things. It was really loud. The only good thing was that it is kinda spacious compared to similar places.

I am super confused by some of the previous reviews. This place is awesome, such a great addition to excelsior! Compared to Yumis it is more reasonably priced but still just as good quality. Been there three times now and each time the service was great. Definitely give it a shot.

Very clean, nice place and food was well presented. At 7:30 on a Tuesday, it was packed and we had to shout to hear each other. Everything but the standard sushi rolls and a few of the appetizers were overpriced(20+ for an entrée). Portions were very small compared to similar restaurants. Go to Kona Grill in Eden Prairie instead.
