Their sidewalk sign claiming *Free Samples* lured me inside.
Once in the store, all I saw was wall to wall, along with a huge center island of candy! Nuts? I can’t recall seeing any; however, I’m sure there were some buried in there somewhere…
The center island was most appealing to me for it’s mountain of salt water taffy in all sorts of flavors. $ 5.49/lb.
The woman working affirmed that I was free to sample as I wished. So I began sampling taffy flavors, beginning with honey. The woman said that vanilla is her favorite, so I tried the vanilla as well. Both the honey and the vanilla flavors were very good. I sampled a few other flavors and was satisfied.
Sold.
I left there with a pound of salt water taffy in hand.
