Mr. McMahon is the owner of Architectural Salvage and the person you’re most likely to meet when visiting the business. We found him on a recent visit to be not only less than helpful, but rude and demeaning when my female companion asked several questions about how to measure and fit a piece of small hardware. The proprietor actually seemed angry and was definitely very condescending. A customer’s lack of knowledge or well-​intentioned questions should never prompt a business owner’s derision, especially in this type of business. This incident was truly bizarre. A store-​owner laughing in the face of a customer? Wow…
Although the temptation is to respond to Mr. McMahon’s hostile and mean-​spirited behavior in a similar fashion in this review, suffice it to say that, having read this, don’t be surprised if you’re met with the same attitude. This is not the first such experience I’ve had with the business. We’ll never be back.
