Another place I haven’t been to in several years. Last time we tried it was closed, but in luck today. Service was decent, reasonably prompt and friendly. We both tried the Greek wraps with gyros. I had onion rings and my friend had the fries. We both preferred the rings. Gyro meat was well seasoned and a good portion. Not sure it’s made on site, but my friend frequently travels to Greece; he said it tasted authentic. Neither of us had room for dessert, even though I have a weakness for baklava. Another reviewer complained about the place being too cold. Today the heating system was on overload though it wasn’t that chilly outside. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

Very good breakfast. Had a Greek Omelet, sausage, feta and tomatoes! They just had some problems with the credit card machine.

Sorry to say, I must amend my previous review. Steve has sold the place, and the new owners are really not doing a very good job. Prices have all gone up on the new menu, and food quality has suffered. I feel bad about this, as this used to be my go-to breakfast place.

The best thing about this place was the host. Very friendly and always checkin refills on coffee. The grilled bagel was just a soggy buttery mess. The omelette was nothing to brag about, good portion. The worst part is just how loud this place is… Wasn’t packed or anything but sounds like everyone is yelling in this place.

Steve’s was one of the first places we got breakfast when we moved to Stratham. Housed in what appears to be an old Pizza Hut, Steve’s is serving up breakfast, lunch, and dinner to a full house. I’ve only had breakfast here but I’ve never been disappointed. Huge portions got very reasonable prices. The staff there is amazing as well. Regardless of how busy it is you are always greeted with a smile and fast service!

This place is disgustingly dirty — like health code violation level dirty. Flies were buzzing around like a third world country. Bathroom was nauseating. Really depressing environment. It’s a former Pizza Hut and was better then — trust me. That said, my oatmeal and one scrambled egg were pretty good.

Wonderful town institution for breakfast and lunch. Good service, hot food, great value. Go Greek if you want to expand your flavors! Good for Brek anytime. :)

I will try not to be too cruel. First off, it’s freezing in here and it took numerous people to complain before they turned the heat on and turn the a/c off. The staff is very friendly, but the food was mediocre at best. I ordered scrambled eggs, sausage links, homefries and toast. The eggs were runny and cool. The rest were delicious but very small/tiny sized portions. My wife ordered a tuna melt and she said that it tasted dry. She wasn’t satisfied either. Unfortunately, we will both be stopping in at the neighboring McDonald’s in order to bridge the gap and get decent food. For the price paid and the service/product received, this will be our first and last time dining here.

Food was average at best… high prices… homemade hash lacked flavor… nothing impressive… though the soda was good.

Went to Steves Diner for breakfast this morning. They serve a wide variety of foods. The portions were extremely generous and the prices are right in line with what you would expect to pay for a nice breakfast. Our waitress was great and extremely attentive. I recommend Steves Diner for a nice breakfast!

The service was incredibly fast. Our meals got to out table in about 5 minutes. For the price, the portions seemed small. After eating it all, I realize they were just perfect. I don’t think I’d bring a family here but a just the 2 of us is perfect.

Great, home cooked food. It’s like going to your aunt’s house to eat. Massive pancakes and enormous tuna sandwiches. The dining room is a little loud and they’re only open till 3pm but we love it! We are regulars.

Stopped in for breakfast. One of the nicest waitresses I have ever had. I had cheese and broccoli omelette. The omelette was good, cooked well and hot. I like a thin omelette with what ever you ask for with it rolled in the center. This one had the broccoli cooked throughout. It was still very good. The coffee is typical diner coffee. The home fries were ok but a little under done. It was a good, inexpensive breakfast and I would go back.

Try the fish soup for lunch. The«Best». I heard Steve, who owns«Steve’s Diner» was originally from NY and left the big city to come to Exeter, NH to open another restaurant. He serves great breakfast and lunches. I love the Corned Beef Hash omelet. His desserts are extraordinary carrot cake, lemon meringue pie, etc.

I liked it here but it was very busy. And very pricey. The service was pretty good considering the volume of people here. Parking was terrible. It was confusing when we walked in what the protocol for seating was and some family was hogging the entire hallway. I got an egg white omelet which I always appreciate and it was good. I would maybe or maybe not come here again if I were in the area.

We went for breakfast and it didn’t start off too well. We didn’t know whether someone would seat us or not so after standing around for a minute or two, we sat down. One waitress told us that another one would take care of us and it took her a while to get to us. Once she got to the table, it got better. Here are the highlights: The coffee was much better than the usual New England diner Bunn coffee. We ordered quickly and easily, and we got exactly what we ordered. The waffles are made in a waffle iron, the corned beef hash doesn’t taste like the standard canned stuff, and the omelets are big and delicious. Things that I didn’t love so much: The tables are too close together, and I wish we had been able to get a booth. They use Vermont Maid syrup which is HFCS, water, and chemicals. And like most New England breakfast places, you can’t get hash browns. The home fries were better than most but in the Northeast, we just can’t seem to do hash browns up here. The good points far outweigh the bad, and the other reviews make me think that I’d enjoy dinner if I was in the area at night. As a breakfast place, I didn’t get the friendly family vibe that I get from Rogan’s but I still liked it enough that I look forward to going back. And they’ve done a nice job turning the closed Pizza Hut into a distinctive restaurant with the feel of a diner. One other reviewer mentioned price. We had two breakfasts and two cups of coffee, and the check was $ 19 and change. This is about what we pay anywhere else so I didn’t find them to be uncompetitive.

Another Pizza Hut reincarnation! This former Pizza Hut now houses Steve’s Diner, a casual family restaurant which serves up American and Greek cuisine for breakfast(served all day), lunch, and dinner. The dining room has the same Pizza Hut layout with tile floors has booth seating along the walls and windows and movable table seating in the center. The breakfast menu offers items such as eggs, omelettes, Greek omelettes, breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, French toast, Belgian waffles, homemade hash, and loukaninko(Greek sausage). An Early Bird Special(Mon-Fri: 5:30AM-7:30AM): 2 eggs, homefries, toast, and coffee is offered for $ 5.50(50 cents off regular price). The lunch/dinner menu offers burgers, sandwiches, subs, wraps, pitas, salads, soups, pasta, comfort dishes, Greek dinners(spinach pie, mousaka, gyros), and kids menu(under 10). Blackboard specials are posted. Chilled Desserts such as cheesecake, cakes, pies, and rice pudding in the display case. The prices are reasonable, items priced $ 10.95 and under. I had dinner at Steve’s Diner last night. I ordered the Mousaka($ 8.95 plus tax) with rice and salad. The salad with a side of Greek dressing was okay with Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions. The salad could’ve been enhanced with olives and feta cheese. Other than that, the Mousaka was great, which was a generous greasy piece with layers of eggplant, potatoes, lots of ground beef, béchamel, topped with tomato sauce. I passed on dessert. The service was friendly and attentive. I’ll have to return for the breakfast.
