Excellent customer service. Made recommendations on appropriate gifts for multiple ages/​occasions. Provided gift wrapping and gift receipts. Overall good experience.

They seem to have gotten some much better staff. Since my last visit, I have met the owner, who is very nice. The shop is small, but sometimes, if you want something specific, they can get it for you. I will also say that their prices really aren’t noticeably higher than the chains. For a few extra bucks, I’d much rather support a local, independent business. I think from here on out, if I’m in the market for toys, this will definitely be my first stop!

Great unique toys with reasonable prices and gift wrapping… and I mean great gift wrapping! I like to look great walking in the party with the best looking gift :)
Only reason I did not give five stars is last time I was in there right before the holidays the cashier (female) was sharing some of her personal political views which I found innapropriate.

Cute store, higher end toys with the price tag to match. Big star deduction for staff and owner treatment of customers — I always feel like they feel every customer is trying to scam them or rob them… everytime I walked in the door I felt like I was a potential shoplifter or grifter first, potential customer far second.
It culminated with an issue I had and it was dealt with very unprofessionally and downright rude… it is a long story but suffice it to say it was a simple request for a duplicate receipt that they failed to provide upon a purchase. I still fail to see why they had such an issue with it, it ended up wasting a lot of time and gas money on my part, no reciept, and I won’t return because of it.

Whirlygigs Toy Shop should appear next to the entry for «toy store» in every dictionary. Their product selection will please kids of all ages, whether they are barely old enough to walk or already retired.
The toy selection here focuses on good solid healthy toys, with a few branded items like PlayMobile and Lego. You will not find that Whirlygigs stocks or tries to compete with cheap toy stores like Toy R US or KB’s; however, you will find good toys that are reasonable priced.
When you visit don’t forget to check out their little reading nook that is tucked away from immediate view.
