Such a charming little café with lots of potential to be astonishing, but the costumer service(I’ve noticed the same remarks in several reviews) is subpar to say the least. When you walk in you are not traditionally greeted, and if you’ve never been here you don’t know the procedure when ordering. They are not great about explaining or asking if you’ve been, rather they let you look extremely confused for awhile before somebody half ass explains how it’s done. The food is pretty good, but at a very hefty price. You can sit outside on the back patio, which has a great view of the local murals, and little shops. If they would only improve on their costumer service, then the price could almost be overlooked.

Stumbled upon Wildflower café while passing through Exeter on a road trip. Exeter was such a cute town and The Wildflower café fit perfectly into the town. Such a cute café, with ample seating. A very large outdoor area and also a sunroom area for dining. The food was great, very clean and simple. I had one of the salads and my boyfriend had a pastrami and turkey sandwich. Both dishes were excellent and fresh with lots of veggies. The woman who owns the place, Dawn, was so incredibly sweet and wonderful to chat with. If I ever pass through Exeter I’ll make a point of going back to the Wildflower Café.

I had a very pleasant lunch experience here with my young daughter and sister. The customer service was excellent, and the everything seemed clean. I had the Asian Salad and it was fresh and delicious. We will definitely be repeat customers when we’re in Exeter again.

Wayy too pricey for what little you get. $ 12 can easily get you more somewhere else. Okay service, mediocre taste, and slow to get orders out. Can’t say I’d come back again.

I want to leave Wildflower a 5-star rating, I really do… Unfortunately I cannot with the present status of their service. In the past five years I’ve been coming, and it’s slowly gone downhill. The restaurant is like a teeter totter. Prices are up and quality is down. P. S. Give me a reason to and I’ll change this review in a heartbeat. Improve quality and charge reasonable prices for food and I will come back all the time like I used to…

My go to lunch whenever family/friends are in town. I’m in love with their outdoor seating! There’s something about being surrounded by wildflowers, friends, and a yummy lunch. Today, I got the Susan Special(top secret item) and it was great! A little on the pricey side, but I’m a big supporter of the local family businesses. Thanks Wildflower, can’t wait to come back.

Delicious sandwich and coffee, and very pleasant outside seating to enjoy them. Only complaints: prices can be just a bit steep($ 8 – 14) for sandwiches/salads. Wi-fi would also be a good addition. I’ll definitely be back.

Cute little restaurant with outdoor seating. The food is a little overpriced but is definitely of good quality! This place is perfect for a splurge meal or special event.

Wildflower left me high and dry last Saturday(11⁄28) when the manager forgot to turn on the oven in the morning to bake the 2 dozen sugar cookies I pre-ordered/pre-paid for and scheduled to pick up at 8:30am. I walked in at 9:15am, waited in line to pick up my cookies, and at 9:25am the manager said the cookies weren’t ready and it was her fault. She did offer to bring them to me later that day but the shower was in Fresno that morning, so that would not work. She then said«I tried to call you» but the message she left me was at 9am, a full 30 minutes after they should have been completed in the first place. Without offering anything other than a refund, I was forced to rush out of there and scramble to find a replacement dessert for the shower. This was not easy to do since most bakeries open at 10, I had an hour drive to Fresno, and the shower was at 11am. ***I ordered 24 decorated sugar cookies that were to be wrapped and tied with ribbon, ready by 8:30am. Why someone would wait until the morning of to make all of those at a busy café, I have no idea. The dry time alone would take an hour plus. Very bad planning. Four days later, I still had not received the refund she promised, so I called and asked for the manager. The person who picked up the phone said«well, who’s calling?» I said my name and she then told me she was the manager. I asked about my refund and she blamed the fact that I did not get it yet on me, saying I rushed out of Wildflower before she could collect my information for the refund. Aside from the fact that I pre-paid for the order with my cc over the phone so they already had my info, why wait four days to take care of the issue if they needed my cc info again? Why not call me that day, apologize and ask for the info in hopes of somehow helping the situation instead of leaving me to stew for four days? I’ve had bad service there before, and had to remind them to add chicken to a salad that comes with chicken multiple times, plus this… I just can’t justify spending money there again.

I rarely drink coffee and when I do the times I actually enjoy my beverage are few, however several coworkers suggested I try Wildflower Café. We needed to take a break from an audit before our brains turned to mush and Wildflower Café was on the menu. I asked the barista was his recommendation was and he stated the Mexican was very popular. I ordered the Mexican Mocha, described as a spicy mocha with cinnamon and hazelnut. I took his suggestion and ordered the Mexican mocha with a lemon blueberry scone. The scone was delicious and had lots of blueberry and just a hint of lemon. I would have preferred a little more lemon but that’s my preference… everyone else liked it. The coffee was surprisingly delicious. It gave me the boost of energy I was looking for but didn’t give me the jitters or have a strong coffee flavor. Wildflower Café is definitly on my must stop list whenever I’m in Exeter.

Delicious fresh baked sweets?! A pleasant, warm interior and outside seating area? Friendly staff? What’s not to love? Maybe the limited parking in the area, but I don’t care. I’ll walk a bit to come here for a bite. My relatives live in Exeter so I make sure I stop by Wildflower whenever I’m in the area. It’s great. And it just feels unlike other small bakeries/cafes near me in Los Angeles. It really feels like I’m eating in a family’s house, not a restaurant. I would just advise if you’re looking for their breakfast goods, come early as there have been several times I’ve shown up and they’re already sold out of what I was craving. But when that happens, I’ve only got myself to blame.

Posting my second review because I see there have been some negative reviews since I was last here. I found the service to be helpful, quick and friendly. The food(and baked goods!) were still amazingly fresh and delicious. We sat out on the terrace and had a leisurely breakfast accompanied by tea and a freshly baked sunrise muffin. If you’re a greasy diner fan this probably isn’t a good fit. But, if you like fresh, simple, well prepared food in a charming environment(plus for coffee /espresso lovers there’s plenty of choices!), you will love eating here.

The Wildflower is a gem of a restaurant. The service is friendly and the food is terrific. I had the Portobello sandwich and it was fabulous. My husband had the Black Forest sandwich with Brie and it was delicious. A must when visiting Exeter.

I went for a simple breakfast — began and cream with a white wedding. It’s a great place early in the morning. Nice service. Love the décor and view.

The Wildflower café was once one of the cutest, quaintest, places to eat in Exeter. Unfortunately, my last few experiences at the Wildflower have been disappointing. The café is very run down, dirty, and the staff seems very unprofessional.

Walked into this place and wasn’t greeted by any of the employees just standing around. I walked right by the menus and went straight up to the counter thinking the items would be on an overhead board. The woman looked at me like I was from another planet and said, «The menus are down there.» and she pointed toward the entrance. I was surprised to see that sandwiches are priced around $ 12.00. I was going to get a cup of chili, but when I saw a big can of Stagg chili on the counter, I didn’t. I ordered a Panini sandwich and an iced tea. My lunch came out to $ 16.00. That’s a lot of money for what I received. The sandwich took about 25 minutes to receive and it wasn’t busy. It didn’t have much meat in it and was really flat and soggy. It also came with a few bugle chips. The bathroom was kind of dirty and there was urine on the toilet. Yuck. There were some positives though, the patio is a cute little area next to the beautiful rose garden at Rosemary and Thyme. As long as the weather permits, it would be a nice meeting area. Just be warned to take your own food and save some money and time spent waiting on lazy employees.

This place is cute for a little lunch getaway. Best part is the patio. I would recommend this place if your exploring Exeter or just checking out the near by shops.
