I’ve visited this establishment a variety of times, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend them. The food is average, and on our latest trip the chicken arrived with a black long hair which ran over/under the chicken and through the fries. Getting it replaced was quite an ordeal, and my appetite was long gone at that point. As a bonus, I split a table top draft dispenser with another party at the table. I quickly noticed that the draft did not contain the amount of beer that is described(in ounces) on the menu. We were cheated by at least 8 – 10 ounces of(expensive) beer. Service is often slow, and I’ve been overcharged on occasions(sometimes amount on bill changes when you get the receipt to sign). There is a large beer selection; however, I’m not sure how fresh some of the craft drafts are. All in all, I’ve had several negative experiences here with being overcharged and subpar food/service. I won’t be going back.

I often watch games here and have been a patron for years. First, the atmosphere is great, TVs everywhere even in the restroom! No need to worry about missing a play. They have a huge draft beer selection. I love the pepperoni cheese sticks! I really like many of the menu items, the Pittsburgher, fish, taco pizza, Stromboli is huge… Service has always been good, food is not always consistently cooked.

Home of the leather burger… The worst burger on earth, was truly horrible. The place has a lot to do for kids and adults alike but that’s it. The place has never seen a vacume, the floor was covered with popcorn and staff ignored the mess. Never going there again.

This review is only for the beer selection. I didn’t eat any food. The beer selection is good but the bartender didn’t know too much on some of the selections.

Forget Rick, no specials ever, dude making a killing. Pay yo taxes chump, only reason he’s doing so well is because of the road work on 22 years back, when the place was a dive bar. And don’t get it twisted, I’m not knocking on dive bars.

I had a going away party here with about 30 people. Most of us got the all you can eat wings, pizza, and salad buffet. I finished my salad and moved on to the wings, after eating one I grabbed the next one. I ripped it open to find it was green and gooey inside. I looked around and just put it down on my plate figuring something happened and that was just a bad wing. I was wrong. As it sat on my plate I realized that it was actually the head of a chicken! I showed the server and she took my plate without really saying anything. I figured she’d show a manager or do something to make things right. Absolutely nothing was done. Highly disappointed, and I have a totally different outlook on wings now. As well as Rick’s Sports Bar.

I did say they have good beer and popcorn… The cooks should be shot at midnight… Just kidding…

Given this place three chances to be fair. Food is horrible. Service is extremely slow and wasn’t very friendly. I will say they have a great beer selection but expect to wait for a cold one. I hope management reads these reviews and does something. It’s a nice location and could be a good stop to look forward to on my commute.

This place has some bad reviews… but, hey… it’s a sports bar. This isn’t the type of place you go to for fine dining of a certain cuisine. It’s standard pub food, lots and lots and lots of TVs, and beer. The food is «ok» by most standards. Decent appetizers, decent wings, and decent sandwiches — all in decent portions. No «show stoppers» but nothing terrible. The TVs are plentiful and, if you’re lucky, even at your booth. This is a huge plus if you’ve got to catch that certain sporting event of your liking. As for beer… they have plenty to choose from, so most beer enthusiasts should be happily accommodated. So while a lot of folks are complaining about the service, my experience was kid friendly with adequate, attentive service… and I got the pub fare I wanted; all while watching the game I wanted to see. So while it’s nothing glamorous… it isn’t supposed to be that way… and that works for me. I knew what I was getting into… a sports bar.

The countless negative reviews on here are somewhat surprising to me. My family and I have enjoyed coming here for years. It’s a family friendly environment with the big game area that they have and the TVs at most tables and lots of big screen TVs all around for game nights. They have daily buffet nights, I have only ever tried the pizza and wing buffet and I do not recommend. The price is nice but good luck beating out the other(many) patrons running up at once when fresh pizza is laid out. Otherwise, I’ve never had a meal I didn’t like. Their wings are delicious and huge and the pizza is great! Service can be hit or miss but I wouldn’t want to work that hard either if I was made to wear tank tops and shorts in the middle of winter.

In the past I have had some not so great experiences with the food and service, but earlier this evening we had a good experience. My kids and I went to watch the playoff game and ordered a pizza. The pizza was fantastic(by far the best food we have had there)(about 10 trips). We watched the first half of the game, ate, played some games, and overall had a good time. Great place to catch a game and try something from their extensive beer list. Definitely got a bump up tonight.

High priced food that is nothing more than frozen low budget bar food available at every small bar in America. The exception is that Ricks charges twice as much as the other places. Our waitress seemed like a nice girl having a very bad day, the place wasn’t busy at all and she was hard to find and talk to. I have no desire to go back and I was embarrassed that I took friends there.

I eat here every so often. The place is nice and big. Lots of TVs. They also have a small arcade which is nice for kids. Free wifi is a nice touch also. The food is sort of hit and miss. My personal favorites are the wing dings and the hoagies. On the other hand, The pizza is not so good. The wait staff is hit and miss also. Usually the staff works very hard, but there are a few that just don’t care. In general its a nice place when you are in the mood for upscale bar food.

I travel back and forth to Pittsburgh a lot for doctor’s appointments. My husband has stopped here a few times, but I hadn’t. We were coming over for a Pirates game and we stopped to grab food. We walked in and sat down and waited and waited. Finally a girl comes over and says hi, are you guys ready to order? Nothing else. We put in for an order of fried cheese and we each got a sandwich. Everything came out all at once. We did get a refill on our drinks by then and then she walked away. The fried cheese were burnt and didn’t taste very well at all. We both got burgers. I thought it was ok. Wasn’t very impressed with it. I’ve had better burgers and thinking it’s a sports bar, you’d think they’d be able to make a better burger then most everyday places. Best part about the place, the tv’s to watch sports and the bathroom was clean! It was a nice place to stop, but I don’t think I’ll stop again. I enjoy going to different places and it was nice to finally stop and see the place.

I want to be fair about this review. Rick’s Sports Bar used to be this little place on 22 with great wings, sandwiches and worth the wait. Then he went nuts and built this palace for sports fanatics across 22. I love sports, big TV’s and beer. Then ok, stop in for a visit. Now the brutal truth. The food has taken a nose dive the past 2 – 3 years. I’m not talking about tough dishes here either. You can see from my photo’s. My daughters wanted to go here to hang out in the play area. Ok Whippee! Sorry but the pizza was below average, well done and the sauce stunk. The wings that used to be a «go to» were overcooked and the sauce was bland. Add to the fact the server dropped 322 ounce beers at my feet during the meal. Thankfully the girls were playing and not present but I was wearing sandals. I wasn’t happy at all and the server was far from accommodating. Yes the beer selection is great but stick with the popcorn.

I have frequented Rick ‘s many times over the past several years when visiting my hometown. It is not for the stellar service, mouthwatering food, or really any other reason aside from the fact that it is convenient and a standby place. It is noteworthy that you can only access Rick’s from one side of 22(heading towards Monroeville). The parking lot is huge, and the inside is quite spacious as well. There is a game room area off to the left and the bar is off to the right with tons of tables, booths, and high top tables in between. Obviously it is a sports bar so there are TVs pretty much everywhere, even in the bathrooms. It never looks particularly clean, and both the booth seats and the menus have seen better days and have some wear and tear to show for it. The service is okay at best and the food borders along the line of okay to actually pretty good. You get started with a basket of semi-finals popcorn while perusing the menu. On weekdays there are different specials and they have pizza specials listed everyday. They have a ton of apps as well as pizzas(pretty good) to salads(meh) to burgers and sandwiches(all depends on what you get). The fried pickles app is good. The sandwiches are quite large, and the chicken parm sandwich gave me two meals. That said, it is made with grilled chicken and not breaded.weird. Rick’s is also a good place to grab a drink, and if you are with a large group you can get a beer tower for fun and novelty value if that is up your alley. Be ready to have your ID scanned and sign away your rights though, as Rick’s takes security with drinking very seriously. An okay gathering spot.

I came here following a game at Center Ice. As soon as I walked in noticed popcorn all over the floor. When we were seated I began looking around at the overwhelming amount of TVs. I get it, it’s a sports oriented place. But it seemed overkill to me. All of the chairs had rips in them and covered up with black tape. They seemed to fix everything with black tape. The service was good but the food was less than good. I ordered a cheese burger and the quality of meat was terrible. Another person in our party got the wings, they were very good, as well as the fries. They have an enormous selection of alcohol drinks, almost too much. Overall, I most likely will not visit this place again. In my opinion they should fix what’s damaged and not just cover it up with black tape.

This was a very mediocre sports bar. You walk in and it looks like Dave ‘n Busters bc they have televisions EVERYWHERE. They have an amazing beer list full of hundreds of beers, except the first three beers I wanted to try. Blue Moon, you are always there for me. The service was slow, but the waitress was nice. They bring you popcorn to eat before you order, so we snacked on that during our long wait for food. I had a reuben and it was really, really greasy and yet somehow the meat was dry. It WAS huge, I took half the meat off it before I ate it and was full. My bf had pasta and said it was just ok. There wasn’t anything outstandingly terrible about this place, it was just extremely meh. I might go back if it’s conveniently located on the way back from something, but as its 40 min outside of Pittsburgh I’m not going to go out of my way to go back here.

This place is gorgeous on the inside. Huge flat screen television through-out the place. A large arcade fun for both children and adults. If you come to watch television and play arcade games, you came to the right place. If you come to get food and/or a drink, then this is not the place for you. I have been there several times and the service was poor. When there was a decent number of people at the bar or only three… I never received good service. I can’t comment on the food because I never had a chance to order. The last time my boyfriend and I went there, we got our drinks and menus to order food. We had time to finish our beers and then waited more than 5 minutes for the bartender to come see if we were ready to order(note: there weren’t more than five other people at the bar… It wasn’t busy). We got our check and left. I will never go back.

We went to Rick’s Thanksgiving weekend to watch the Notre Dame vs USC game. It was my first time here. So the place is huge and has a large parking lot(when we pulled in I thought the restaurant was full, I’m not sure if the lot is used for something else). We were seated at a pretty tight booth in the back area. There are plenty of tv’s to watch the game(maybe the game sound for the«main event» can be a little louder and I always appreciate tunes during the commercials). The beer list is huge and I believe they have a sampler as well. There was also a game area(skeet ball, mini hoops, etc) with prizes. That could work well with a group with kids. On to the bad stuff… The service was horrid. Extremely slow, got items wrong and then lastly gave us the check without asking if we wanted anything else. I’d understand if it was late, but it wasn’t even halftime. The food was ok. Wings could use a little more sauce and I’m a firm believer to stick to the basics in a place like this. A cousin ordered the steamed shrimp and it was not great. Also, my wife’s taco salad did not look great. In contrast my burger was good. My meal’s only gripe was not understanding what skinny fries meant. I thought they would be shoestring fries. If you go, I’d say to maybe grab a seat at the bar.
