Got a special from living social for a tour. It included the tour, t-shirt, one free beer, and a buffet. It was a pretty small venue. The tour guide was very knowledgable and entertaining. He just talked about the processes and showed us parts of the brewery, which is fairly small. The tour probably took about 30 minutes, but that was with people asking questions. The buffet had salad, pretzels with cheese, veggies, sausage, and pasta with meatballs. It wasn’t too bad, we obviously didn’t come to eat the food. None of the beers were mind blowing, they were good. There was a live band there, along with some people from the first tour so there was no where to sit and eat. We ended up standing by a random barrel by the bathroom. The bartender was very very nice. I think it would have been enjoyable if there were extra places to sit down, eat, drink and enjoy the band. It definitely wasn’t an amazing experience. I probably wouldn’t do it again. It seems like it normally is a nice little local bar, but since I don’t live close, I wouldn’t make a special trip to go out there. If you have never been to a brewery before it’s a decent local experience if you have a free Saturday night.

Rivertown brewery and Tap Room is a blessing in such a quiet rural area. It’s located where there’s plenty of parking and lots of room inside as well. There are five beers offered, each with a unique taste. Pros: new business in area, very cool, great beer, very hip building, tee shirts for sale, great for large groups. Con: only beer offered, no food that I could see, prices on high end, more cans than growlers, employees could be happier and more gracious.
