In a nutshell this place was awful! I should have my(imaginary) foodie license taken away for trying to eat at this place. One of my best friends eats at this place all the time, and I was in a time crunch(library book sale); so I thought, «What the heck? Save a few minutes, order food for both of us form the same place.» I should have remembered that my friend is an anti-foodie. *insert wry chagrined look here* I ordered the Kennett burger(a special) and some chili cheese fries. My friend ordered a number 3 special, replace the hamburger with a hot dog and coleslaw and pickles way off to the side. Ok, to be fair, I wanted the coleslaw and pickles and he was being a good sport about it. So, here is the rundown: the Kennett burger had mushrooms that taste like perhaps they were canned and it was supposed to have Cheddar cheese on it, but instead it had cheese whiz. Sorry, cheddar cheese and cheese whiz are NOT the same thing! Come on! Not even close! The burger was also flavorless. It tasted like maybe it was boiled? Is that possible to boil a burger? The bun was pretty soft though, so I will give credit where it is due. The chili cheese fries were decent, but did not have enough chili or cheese(whiz, although that is acceptable on chili cheese fries, especially since it was not claimed that it would be cheddar cheese on it). I saw the mini ladle of chili he put on the fries, and he did not even give me the full ladle, it was maybe 2⁄3 of a ladle. I had a bite of my friend’s dog. It also tasted flavorless. I have tasted dogs on par microwaved. I have yet to try to coleslaw, if it is anything earth shattering, I will update. I am suffering from massive food disappointment right now and can not make myself take another bite. The pickle was a pickle. And the grand total that I had to pay for the favor of having this meal? $ 14.00 plus change. I’ve seen two hot dogs go for $ 1.50/$ 2.00 before. I did give an extra half star because they have always been very friendly in the past to my friend(witnessed it first hand), and they were very good sports about changing up the order for my friend, who incidentally, must have no working taste buds. :p
