Like someone else mentioned, I can’t stand how shady they are with their pricing. They only have a price card that you can view while there, nothing on their website, nothing to take with you. Also, their website is so generic, it doesn’t show you the different levels of beds or even what beds they have. When I was there I was asking the girl different questions about red light therapy and some of the other services they offer. She literally told me «um I’m not quite sure». I felt like she wasn’t educated in her job and wasn’t able to provide me with any useful information but when it came to trying to sell me a lotion and package she was a little pushy. I just wanted to try it out & wanted a packet rather than a bottle of lotion, all of their lotion packets are $ 10! The same packets at other salons are $ 5. And their beds are just ok. Their level 2 bed is $ 15 which I thought was over priced for a 15 minute semi basic bed. I also saw a lot of streaks and knee marks on the canopy which grossed me out. I don’t want to see any signs of anyone else having been in the bed while I’m tanning. Overall, they are overpriced & the staff(at least the girl that day) was not knowledgeable. I won’t be going back.

Planet Beach is a grea place to go if you can afford it. They are very pricey for a tanning salon, but they do have great beds and that is honestly the only reason I keep going back. I m not huge on tanning, but I will go a few times a month to keep a healthy glow in my skin. It’s about $ 70 for 5 or 6 tans. I don’t remember exact pricing, and I can’t look it up for you, because they’re absurdly hush-hush about their prices. They don’t post any pricing online or in the store, you can only look at the little price card they have if you’re interested in purchasing, and I don’t like that. I like to review my options in advance and weigh out pricing with coupons, specials, etc, but I feel like they don’t want you to be able to do that(or see their ridiculous prices in advance and opt not to go there) so they don’t show you until you’re already standing at the register. They, in a nutshell, are stingy. To further back up that point, I’ll share an experience from the one time I decided to try one of their spa machines. They have several which include a hydration station(I have never tried it but people rave about it opening their pores up), a hydro-massage, among other things. I decided to try the hydro-massage for some back pain I was having, and the price was not cheap. I laid down on the bed and it literally felt like someone was taking a power washer hose and pointing it at my back — it was awful. It was not relaxing, it was painful. And not the good massage kind of painful. I stopped the machine 5 minutes into the massage(it was supposed to be 20 minutes long) and came out, and the woman at the counter was very unapologetic. Didn’t care that I stopped it only 25% into the service, didn’t care that I was unhappy — no offer for a coupon, refund, or anything. It’s partially my fault that I didn’t push for it a little more, but I was in a rush and didn’t have time to battle the woman over it. But seriously, why should I even have to ask? I obviously had a bad experience and you know that service was pricy, and you can tell on your computer screen that I have invested a lot of money here, so why wouldn’t you be more accomodating? They are all about the money. On several occasions I have also forgot my goggles for tanning and they won’t lend me a pair, I always have to spend 5 $ on a new set. Like really? It honestly pains me that I spend so much money here, but I can’t be biased and give them a 1 star review because of that. I have to be honest and say that this place deserves some stars because the tanning beds are awesome. I will go tanning just once or twice and people will ask me if i’ve been on vacation. This place is so pricey but they change the bulbs a lot, and it’s very clean. So, like I said, if you have the money, it’s worth it. Definitely worth it. If you are on a budget, I would pass.
