A must not only for the holidays but for any meal gathering! I grew up enjoying the dark meat portions of turkeys on Thanksgiving every year and then suffered for the next week or two trying to finish the dry white meat portions. A few years ago, my family found a local Honey Baked Ham location near our house and decided to try it one year in place of a turkey. It was an instant hint; juicy, flavorful, and a delicious honey crust that everyone fought for all the time. Not only was the ham tasty, we didn’t worry if it was too big to finish, it was just as good for leftovers. Meals in the days following Thanksgiving weren’t a struggle anymore.
I recently had some friends over for a Christmas party and picked one up again. A friend grew up in the south and was ecstatic that I had honey baked ham on the menu. He took the rest home as it reminded him of his childhood days.
