I normally don’t write many reviews but I was so disappointed with fishers. I don’t understand all the love for this place I came here based off reading previous Unilocal reviews we walked into the place on a 90 degree day the inside temperature matched the outside temperature the waitress was pleasant and attentive considering it was a lil bit busy but that’s where the good ends I ordered orange juice which came in a juice box now that wouldn’t be a problem normally but since people were lauding this place for fresh ingredients in other reviews it was a bit strange to get a carton of OJ. then I got my food in two parts first the pancakes came out nothing special just some bisquick on a plate I didn’t eat them right away since my girlfriends food hadn’t come out yet so about 10 minutes later the rest of the food comes out… my scrambled eggs which should be light and fluffy were soggy and moist sausage links were supermarket brand frozen junk again where are all the fresh ingredients everyone is hyping up? Now by this time my pancakes are cold so when I told the waitress about the cold pancakes i was given a «generous» 10% off the end of the bill no offer to replace them with fresh ones or anything. so overall this was a very mediocre experience so if your looking for more then just a affordable spot to eat breakfast I’d skip this place

Been here 3x in one week! Prices are great. Food is delicious. So many options to choose from for breakfast and it’s delicious. Staff is super friendly, too. We’ve lived across the street and always passed it but never went in. So glad we did!

Cute little breakfast spot. Parking in rear or on the street. Their prices are pretty cheap and their menu is actually surprisingly extensive. Their eggs benny is apparently the home run for this place but I haven’t tried it yet. I’ve only been here once and I had the omelette with broccoli, bacon and cheddar cheese. It was quite enjoyable. I’d definitely come back here and try more of their menu. Also, I love that they have the hash brown option instead of just regular breakfast potatoes.

I truly wish I knew about the Fisher’s Café sooner! I have been getting my nails done for about two years now just two doors down from here and I have never noticed this little gem before. I came in on a Saturday after I got my nails done around 2:30PM not realizing they close at 3PM. I walked into an almost empty café with one or two people still eating, I checked with the waitress to see if they were still serving and she assured me to sit down. I sat at a near by table and took a look at the menu. The first thing I noticed was all the different variations of eggs benedict along with one of my personal favorite breakfast items huevos rancheros. The menu mainly caters to breakfast and lunch items. I was craving eggs over easy and noticed they had a Town Special which is two eggs, home fries, toast and choice of bacon, taylor ham, ham or sausage along with coffee/tea and a small juice all for $ 7.49! That’s a steal if you ask me. I placed my order and it was ready in just a short amount of time. The wait staff here is extremely attentive and never left my coffee cup empty. I love when breakfast spots leave an ample amount of grape and strawberry jelly on the table as well. I am all about grape jelly on my toast! My eggs were cooked perfectly and my bacon crisp and delicious. The home fries I prefer a little well done but that was my fault for not mentioning it, they were still extremely tasty. I really can’t wait to come back with my friends and introduce them to this little gem I’ve found. I also got to meet the owner Hungria and he was an absolute pleasure. P. S. — They were giving out roses and balloons to mothers on Mothers Day super sweet and thoughtful

Been here twice and its not too bad. Large menu with many options to choose from. The Mediterranean omelette i ordered was okay but waaay too many onions! I didn’t even taste the feta. Hash browns are awesome and the bacon was nice n crispy. I would come here again and maybe try lunch. Prices are reasonable and portions are good

Love this place! It’s got a good amount of tables and they always seat you quickly. We normally come mid Sat-Sun mornings and have the eggs benedict(switching it up between the many versions that they have), or regular eggs & corned beef hash & some home fries. Lots of flavor and the food is very well seasoned. Last time we got ahead of ourselves and also ordered the strawberry cream cheese french toast to share which wasn’t what we expected, but we still enjoyed. Natalia is always our server and she’s awesome — super sweet, attentive and funny. I’ll def keep coming back.

I’ve been wanting to check this café out and successfully dragged my bae here this morning. He kept on asking«Why can’t we just go to a normal diner??» and all I got to say is wait until we get to Fisher’s Café and see for yourself. He ended up really liking it ;) Fisher’s Café has a bit of the diner feels and a bit of the brunch café feels. Very friendly and attentive waitstaff, and I can tell some of the other customers have been coming here every day and known everyone name. We ordered Irish Egg Benedict and Town Special. Really good breakfast/brunch food for very reasonable price. Definitely the kind of breakfast/brunch place that I can patronize for a long time ;)

A local gem! Clean place, very nice people, excellent quality food — the perfect luncheonette. My only complaint is that I wish they were open later than 3:00!

Wow! That pretty much sums it up. Excellent service. The guys here are really on top of their game. The FOOD! Fresh, tastes great and is probably some of the best breakfast I’ve had around here. I highly recommend this place even though I shouldn’t because I don’t want them getting so busy that I’ll have trouble getting a seat lol. 5 stars all the way. No pics because I ate it so quickly haha.

This place is amazing for brunch. I can’t believe I never tried it until now. The only drawback I have about this place is that it closes pretty early at 3PM, it would be nice if it was an all day brunch place. The menu is pretty extensive everything from waffles to salads. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about everything in such an extensive menu. Prices are very reasonable, we paid less than $ 25 for 3 people. The interior is pretty small and narrow but very cozy like a good brunch place should be. There are booths on the side and tables in the front. I ordered a veggie omelette and subbed mashed potatoes for cucumbers & tomato. It was a heavenly omelette stuffed with tons of veggies, one of the best I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back.

EVERYONEREADINGTHISREVIEW — COMEHERE!!! There are not enough words to describe how fresh and delicious my breakfast was this morning. I had the Sombrero omelet and my boyfriend tried the Davinci burrito. Both very delicious with a wonderful combination of flavors. Fisher’s is a cute little spot with enough seating to accommodate a large party for breakfast or lunch. The staff(including the owner) were very friendly. The staff is very efficient, we didn’t even have to ask for more coffee, the young lady was on top of it every time it was low. Thanks for the amazing breakfast and courteous service. This place is my new favorite spot!

Cute little café with an exstensive breakfast and lunch menu! I had come here specifically to try one of their eggs benedict dishes, since it seemed like most reviewers fancied them. Also I was interested to see where it was located since I had lived in Fair Lawn for over half of my life and had never heard of or seen this place before! God knows they could use another breakfast place around there since the only other options are either land and sea(ugh), empress diner, or some bagel joints! So we drove around looking for it and passed right by a few times. My guess is that the cursive window writing kind of threw us off… Once inside we were greeted by a nice gentleman who gave us menus and sat us right away. I was amazed too see the variety of food we could choose from! There was literally a whole page of eggs benedict alone! I opted for the Blackstone benedict which was an over easy egg with hollandaise sauce, spinach and avacado on an English muffin. I added on Canadian bacon, to make it seem like more of a real eggs benedict, lol. I chose the breakfast potatoes as a side. My cousin chose the town platter which was like eggs, hash browns, some sausage and toast. In addition to his meal he got a little glass of juice, literally 3 sips and done lol. My dish was pretty good the egg cooked just right and a great hollandaise sauce! My only complaint was that the English muffin was a little hard to cut through, like a bit chewy… Other then that my dish was tasty and very filling! My cousin enjoyed his food as well. The owner or manager of this place was very nice and was even talking to us about Unilocal.I would definitely come again to try some other dishes!

Consistently good! Great service. Super friendly staff. I had the Farmer’s Eggs Benedict. So good! Their home fries are a tad spicy, but I like that! My man had the pigs in a blanket and he said that it was really good. Fisher’s is an adorable, clean place where you can get a filling, tasty meal for a very reasonable price! Will definitely be returning!

Ordered the Jeff & fruit cup this morning and it was awesome. What was most impressive though was they ran out to buy more fruit since they ran out. Waiter was super friendly and got a huge well deserved tip. Coffee was super rich and nutty., was not watered down at all. Will be going back and ordering the Jeff again…

I feel like I had the exact experience as the reviewer Michelle below. I have lived in Fair Lawn over 20 years and never heard of this place, found it on Unilocal! My husband and I wanted a casual breakfast Friday after dropping our son at pre school. I ordered The Blackstone which is eggs Benedict with spinach and avocado and got bacon on the side. My husband got the French toast, eggs, and turkey bacon. Food was incredibly fresh and delicious. Such high quality at a great price. They kept the coffee flowing the whole time and very friendly service. We will be back!

Good food and good portions, at a good price. Came for breakfast after a work meeting. It doesn’t have it’s own parking lot, so you’ll have to find street parking. If you weren’t looking for it, it’d be pretty easy to miss. It’s an old school lunch counter, complete with bar seating where you can see the guys cooking. I think the largest tables/booths can comfortably seat up to four, so this place wouldn’t be too good for a large group. Service was attentive and friendly, and our orders came out right the first time. I had the Jeff, an egg white omelet with chicken, chorizo, black beans, pico de gallo and avocados. It was a hefty omelet, bursting with different flavors. The quality and portion size of the food was very good for the price. I would return for sure.

In Northern NJ there is no shortage of great places to have breakfast. Sitting high atop my list is Fisher’s Café. This is your old school luncheonette with modernized décor and a menu to match. I have been eating at this same spot since it was called Fair Lawn Eat Shoppe in the mid 60’s. Back then, husband and wife George and Gunda ran the place. I loved going there because they would always slip me a free roll of Lifesavers on the way out :) I have eaten there a couple of dozen times since, always for breakfast or brunch and the food is nothing short of delicious. The menu also has some unusual but eclectic choices that are sure to please as well as some modern takes on classic favorites. Eggs Benedict with crab cakes or corned beef hash are great examples. Prices are also lower than I would expect, a surprise given the quality of the food. Service is attentive and courteous without being overbearing. Portions are also quite good. If you are a large group, seating might be a challenge because they are mostly booths. They also have one of those large scrolling LED signs over the cooking area that is really ANNOYING. If they get rid of that, I would willingly add another star. Great place. You’ll love it.

This is my favorite local breakfast spot. Great place for an easy no-fuss breakfast just the way you like it. The two guys that run the place are always welcoming and never let your coffee run low. There are definitely a lot of «regulars» that come to the café because everyone knows one another — which is a good thing. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, which is a nice change from the large diners in the area. Don’t be surprised if you end up striking a conversation with a stranger in the stool next to you, it happens more often than not. The food is cooked on a grill right behind the counter so everything is always fresh and hot. The food looks more like a Sunday breakfast cooked at home and less commercialized and IHOP-esque.(Although IHOP does have some excellent breakfast dishes.) Portions are more than adequate although I haven’t tried their lunch or dinner menus yet.
