I love Fair Oak’s brew pub. It’s my family’s local hangout. They have awesome outdoor seating, live music, yummy drinks and food. Wei, one of the owners, is really wonderful; she always makes us feel very welcome and wanting to come back.

Cyclists dream! You get off the American River Bike Trail at the Fair Oaks Bridge and pedal up that steep hill into Fair Oaks. That’s worth at least 1 beer and a big lunch. It’s a first-class restaurant stop that is very close to the trail. So maybe 5 stars is generous, 4.5 is more accurate because they need an awesome burger.

I am writing my second review of FOBP, as a local regular of the Pub since it opened in March of last year. The beer, the food and the live music on the patio, when it is happening, are all excellent as many of the reviewers on Unilocal have stated. What I really love about FOBP is that it has become the Community Center of Fair Oaks. Wei and Gary and their staff, treat everyone like family once you walk in the door. They really care about their patrons. This caring translates into the type of quality people who frequent the Pub. Close, serious friendships have developed that wouldn’t have happened if the Pub wasn’t there. I love this place(and Wei & Gary.) If you remember the television show Cheers, it is like that, filled with comedic moments and lots of laughter.

Food was really good, beer was really good. Love the outside patio. The house brewed Hammer IPA was very good, but the highlight was discovering the Rubicon Fresh Squeeze Grapefruit IPA. OMG!!! Only complaint is that the garlic fries could have used a tad more garlic, and there’s not a single burger in the menu! Crazy! Great spot for lunch or brunch(brunch goes to 1pm on Sunday).

Talk about love at first sight! I had no idea that this local brewery was in my backyard the whole time. I’ve passed by the fair oaks town square many times and am amazed to find such a hip hang out spot! The inside has so much character! The wood bar, the traditional bar stools and a great selection of beer. Outside there was a patio where lots of families and locals gathered to enjoy their tasty food. There’s plenty of seating and it’s a great place to grab a beer with a friend or enjoy dinner with the family. I had the hammer ipa that did not disappoint! The waitress was extremely kind and checked on me the whole time. Other than a beer I ordered some garlic fries that really hit the spot. I wish I ordered more because their burgers look phenomenal but that just means I have to come back again! Pros: friendly environment, great location, local businesses, lots of beer besides their own Cons: it can get hot inside because of the size, they ran out of several beers they produce

Ill make this simple, this place is a hidden gem. Ambiance is relaxed and comforting. The pulled pork pizza and garlic fries put me in awe i almost cried. They have great selection of in house tap. And the owner, bravo. An owner that socializes and chats with their customers is a proper business owner. Ill never forget this customer next to me, mind you who had a few beers, said«i love you guys» multiple times. That shows genuine satisfaction of this establishment. Well done

What a delightful find! Totally didn’t know this place existed, so I was happy to visit on a Sunday afternoon. Beer: pretty good. I’m glad they brew their own. It wasn’t anything AMAZING, but it was tasty. Food: Pretzel– greasy, but delicious and fresh and fluffy with cheese! Hen House sandwich– totally incredible. Delicious chicken on it and the garlic fries were unique and really crispy! Service: perfect. Friendly, attentive, helpful. Venue: Outdoor patio was awesome, overlooking all the roosters. I’ll totally come back.

Great drinks! Got a flight and they were all good! Fun atmosphere, not too loud thankfully! Wish we could have tried the food but the kitchen was closed. Looked like a good menu. I’ll be back!

This is truly a hidden gem! Heard good things about this place so me and he husband decided to check it out and I’m really glad we did! It’s a small little pub with a big patio area for outdoor seating, it was raining that day so of course no one was dining/drinking outside. Loads of beers on tap, apparently they brew their own beer too! Plentiful selection of wines and delicious food options! Now for the food, we ordered the Blue Rooster pizza, garlic Parmesan fries, and a winter salad. I normally don’t like thin crust pizzas, but the crisp crust complimented the toppings extraordinarily well! Didn’t skimp on the toppings and I swear it was like heaven in my mouth. Loved it! Garlic parmesan fries were perfectly crisp, not too oily, and not too soggy. :) I’m very picky on tomatoes, they have to have a perfect texture and not too much of an overwhelming flavor.(I know, high maintenance huh?) well, I devoured every tomato in the winter salad. And whatever dressing they use for it, matched perfectly. Probably one of the best salads I’ve EVER had anywhere! Now for the service. Outstanding! Gary and Wei treat you like family, so it’s a perfect place to bring your family, your friends, anyone! Because I guarantee the service they provide is phenomenal. The comfortable bar setting and decorations give it a warm feeling when you walk in too. Will definitely be recommending this place to friends and will definitely be back!

This place was way cool! We went there for lunch. It’s a little small, but they were able to accomidate us, even with my 15 month old son. There menu is good, and they even have a few local beers on tap. They sell growlers, and some of there own things like shirts, mugs, etc. The customer service was great, and the food was good as well. The pricing was not to bad. If your in the area check them out!!!

I came to the Fair Oaks Brew Pub with a couple of my Unilocal friends to try out a new spot. They have a HUGE outdoor patio with plenty of space to sit and relax during the warmer months, but I kind of wish they would have made the patio smaller and put in a parking lot because like all business in old Fair Oaks, it’s street parking only. Fortunately when I came it was later on a weekday so I parked up the street a bit, but I can see how it may be problematic during busier times. Inside is rather small, but they do have their fair share of tables as well as a good sized bar area. They do make a lot of their own brews and what I tasted I really liked! I also really appreciate a brewery that has good food on the menu which they do here. I ordered the Garlic Fries(can also come regular) which were cooked perfectly and came with a nice garlic flavor. I also had the Macaroni and Cheese which was cooked well and tasted good. It was topped with bread crumbs which I liked, but could have had a nicer sauce and more of a cheesy flavor. I’m super picky on Mac and Cheese though. I tasted their Tangerine Wheat beer which I thought was really good and I liked the tangerine flavor. I also had their Pilsner which i think was my favorite of the two. It was crisp and refreshing. They also have a bunch of guest taps if you don’t want to try any of their own. I would definitely come back here again if I am in the area. It would be a great place to go on a warm summer night to sit outside and enjoy the weather and a good beer.

I have been visiting this fair oaks brew pub restaurant now a few times a month for the past several months of its opening. I really appreciate their; bartenders, and happy food service staff. I am a Sacramento area native and in business myself so I naturally have to eat and drink around a lot. Ever since this restaurants opening I cannot think of a better place in 5 square miles! That I would rather eat or drink at(wine and beer) That says a lot, because I’ve been everywhere. Not to mention if you’re looking for a less crowded and a more personal candlelight style atmosphere great for business or personal meetings this place is your next favorite spot! I will often meet my local friends here to buy them one of their local INHOUSEMADE beers and wines. I mean, can you ask for more home town feels in a restaurant or bar? I can’t imagine so. I will say that all bartenders Wei, Gary, and a few others are wonderful; go ahead ask them about what beer they just made, or tell them your preferences at the bar and I’m sure you’ll get a taster shot first, but next will be you buying one of their hand made GROWLERS! Only $ 26 to take home a gallon of strong quality beer! I’m still sipping mine right now lol. And I can’t forget to mention their wonderful food. For a «brew pub restaurant» their food is comparable to a fine restaurant without the fine dining pricing. Your date will not think you took her to a bar if you take her here, she’ll think you showed her your«favorite secret restaurant and pub in fair oaks»(I’m speaking from experience) I myself am very much into fitness and keeping it «tight» so their Asain chicken salads made me a believer, and their gluten free pizza made me full. I now have had every item of food they offer here from their Asain soup to the wonton soup and their bbq beef sliders, I can’t get enough. You’ll see instantly what I’m talking about when you order but the food here can’t be beat. Great pricing so I’ll often order four things for two people and be completely full. Last I want to say that everyone who works here is very good looking. I like that. I think everyone who comes also appreciates that judging by the laughter and smiles all around. I know I do. I hope this place stays exactly the same. Forever. Please !

My parents have a Sunday tradition of getting beer and food in the afternoon. Since moving out of the Bay Area they have been more adventurous, and actually go to new places all the time(instead of just one place each week). My mom and dad kept talking this place up so much that we decided to go here when I came up to visit. At first glance you wouldn’t think this place would be all that. It seems kind of small, dark, and a bit older. Personally, I think it adds a lot to the charm. It has that old bar feeling. The whole little area has that sort of quaint, old charm to it. So it that respect this fits in perfectly. The service here was superb. The waitress recognized my parents and actually helped my dad remember what beer he had last week. He is very picky about beer, and so it was great that she knew exactly what he had last time. She was quick, courteous, and very friendly. The food here was delicious! My parents talked up the pulled pork sliders. They said it was some of the best they have ever had. I couldn’t agree more. They were tender, flavorful, and just slightly crispy at times with that nice caramelized crunch. They also serve it on Hawaiian rolls, so that right there is enough to make me love it. They also don’t overload the sliders with too many toppings. It really lets the pork shine through with a nice background of flavors. I also did a bowl of the wonton soup(a speciality of theirs). On a cold winter afternoon it was delicious. The broth was was clearly homemade and full of veggies. The wontons were also handmade, and full of really well cooked chicken and more veggies. I got a bowl of the soup and found that it was a perfect side for my meal. Not too much food, but just enough to warm you up and make you feel fortified against the cold. They also have a great lineup of beers here. Not only do they feature some high quality local craft beer, they also brew their own! You can get a flight of beer which lets you try four of their five beers. I will admit I was a bit skeptical of their beers at first. This didn’t really appear to be a place that was big on brewing, but more of a place that has food that happens to make beer. I’ve been to other places that do that, and their beer can be meh. This place though really rocked it with their beers. They were very solid. You won’t find something really far out and experimental, but their lineup showcases some strong«classic» style beers. The surprising hit for me was their Rye. I’m usually not a big fan of Rye beer, but this was one of my favorites. It is great to see that their food quality and beer quality are both outstanding. My one and only complaint here? There is no option for a full pulled pork sandwich! It is so good that I want more, and the sliders just wet my appetite. Also check out the chickens outside. My mom loved the chickens. 1⁄100

Short Update: Great crowd of friendly peeps last night. I followed instructions and ordered at the bar. Garlic Fries for 2 and the Brewers Pie(Zero Nitrate Dry Salami, Pepp, Prosciutto, Mozz, Olive, Mushroom) along with two rounds of Queen Tangerine and Nail Down Brown. Pizza was on target. crispy thin crust with slices that held their own(not limpy), great flavor, not over cheesed. Fries were garlic maximus! Pretty sure I reeked afterwards and it’ll be seeping out my pores. Sat on the patio and shared the picnic table with friendly strangers and an adorable yellow lab.

Been here a couple of times with Stormy and its nice having a brewpub in the area. The beers are excellent. Pros: Great beers. Sweet Potato Fries made without a fryer so not smothered in oil. Just delish. Ok pizza Cons: These folks are still new and working out the kinks. Every time I’ve been there they’ve been out of some beer or food item. Good news is they are learning fast. Pizzas are too foofoo. Only one on the menu I’ll eat(carnivore).
