We went in there and I am understanding that it can get busy with 3 people before us. But something we notice as they noticed as well. — The lady Paulette never smiles. Its like she is supposed to be in this happy place.(which it has very delightful items). But yeah wow she seemed like such a grouch when we were there. Yeah she needs to smile more or be more welcoming. — or something. We may not go back there. we go to Placerville for being a touristy town. And it was very very unwelcoming. But other places around town where really nice, except for Annieberries(which were just seemed very rude or mean). ok i hop she smiles more.

Memory Lane is exactly as the name implies. It’s a nostalgic trip back to childhood when your only worries were which candies to buy and whether or not you’d have a stomach ache later on. And it’s not just a trip back in time for children of any specific era. They have saltwater taffy and lollipops for those who grew up in the 50s and 60s, Abbazabba for the kids of the 70s and candies like Big League Chew and Sour Patch Kids for Reagan-era kiddos like myself. Honestly, how could anyone who enjoys sugar in any and all forms not enjoy Memory Lane? As an added bonus, the folks who run this place are always super friendly and inviting. They’ll be more than happy if you choose to wander the aisles of their small stores for hours while reminiscing!

I took my 8-year-old here yesterday for the first time. The look on her face was priceless. It was like magic for her. It’s so pretty in the store and they were super friendly. The assortment of candy was HUGE and the fudge was amazing. This will be our new stop for treats after soccer games and swim meets.
