Swallowtail Butterfly Farms

I own a swimsuit calendar in AZ called Rare Beauty Calendars, each year we look for new ways to feature Rare Beauty. For our 2016 – 17 edition we decided to do a custom photo shoot with live butterflies! After reviewing several other butterfly farms, and after our Creative Director called and spoke with Swallowtail Farms we made the decision to trust Swallowtail Farms with our business!
We are very satisfied customers and would recommend Swallowtail Farms to anyone planning their wedding, or special event! The Owner, Jacob Groth actually took the time to call and make sure we were happy with our service, order and that they had the correct shipping address on file. Jacob was very understanding and kind, so much so that he personally made a note to his staff to be sure they knew the butterflies were being used for a photo shoot and not just a release so they made sure to send the most pristine of butterflies; not to say they don’t handle all orders with the same care, because I’m sure they do, it was just extra comforting to know they had my businesses best interest at heart and knew what the butterflies would be used for!

I wanted to do something special for my sister’s wedding. She is obsessed with butterflies so when my friend came across this site I thought this was perfect! The butterflies arrive the day before the event and they give very detailed instructions on how to handle and transfer the butterflies. She was so excited her and her new husband were able to release 24 of them as they left the church. It was an amazing site to see!

My family wanted to do something special for the first anniversary of our little daughter’s death. Children/​Babies with her condition are known as Butterly Children. A butterfly release was just what we were looking for, but we were not able to give a lot of notice as we thought the weather would be too cool that time of year. Swallowtail farms was SO accomodating and flexible. We were very grateful and impressed that they worked around our needs and helped us to honor hour daughter in the perfect way. Each Monarch was large, beautiful, graceful… They lightly floated away and it was just wonderful.

I was googling looking for Monarch butterfly decorations for my wedding when I came across their site. I had never heard of anyone realeasing butterflies for their wedding, but being that I loved Monarchs I thought we would give it a try. I order a dozen Monarchs, I had a few questions and Jacob always responded promptly. Since I lived in Sacramento I asked if I could pick-​up to avoid the shipping fee and he was more than happy to let me do so. The butterflies were so beautiful and such a hit. They all took off right as we opened the box at the ceremony. Every single one took flight and our guests loved it and so did we. It made for great pictures and a memorable ceremony. After the ceremony while taking pictures I even had one of the butterflies land on my bouquet! I would highly recommend this company. I was a little un-​sure about ordering butterflies, but they worked out great. We loved them! And this company was awesome! Obviously great quality butterflies.
