Wanted to take my friend out for coffee and since she has a kid I wanted to make sure we could go in and sit down and enjoy our coffee. We arrived at around 830 wasn’t to busy there was a few people in front of us in line but that gave us a chance to go over the menu being neither one of us had ever been here before. You are greeted with lots of yummy food in their display case making it so hard to chose what you want to eat. It was finally our turn to order she ordered some type of Christmas coffee and some type of pastry(can’t really remember which one) then I ordered mine. I let her go and sit down since she had her baby with her and I waited on our coffees. The coffee came out in no time flat and since she wanted her’s in a to go cup it was a little easier for me to carry to the table. Now being our first time here I wasn’t really sure where the lids were for her cup so I just sit it down on the table for her. So the next thing I know she has spilled her coffee all over herself, her diaper bag, the floor, and where ever else it could fly. Now I know the people behind the counter had to have seen this because it wasn’t like we were quiet about it. I ran trying to get her napkins to try to clean up some of the hot liquid that had just hit the floor. And forgive me for«assuming» but I thought maybe someone from behind the counter would at least come out with a mop or a rag to help us clean it up? Nope no one said anything. I go up to the counter and ask for a towel and explained to them that my friend had just spilled her drink(cause apparently they can’t see for themselves) the girl who seemed aggravated that I would even ask for a towel or that my friend had made a mess throw the towel up on the counter and said nothing. I took the towel and began to start trying to soak up some of the coffee off the floor. After we had finally gotten most of it up I walked back up to the counter to order my friend another drink(this time with a lid) I explained that she had spilled her coffee and they said they would remake it for free. Now my review is based solely on them not wanting to help or willing to at least bring out a mop so that I could mop it up. I mean we could have just left it there for them to clean up and moved to a different area of the shop. I feel like most places now days have really gotten away from helping customers out or showing customer service but come on now we all know a little compassion goes a long way when it ensures that it might just bring a customer back into your store. As for me coming back for a second helping of their«average» coffee nah I think I’ll pass/

I was just in Fairbanks for a visit this week and stopped in here on our first morning for some coffee and a pastry as a light breakfast. Something about the atmosphere and the delicious mocha just made me fall in love with the place. Also appreciated that the staff didn’t treat us like annoyances for it being our first time in the shop and probably being a little slow. We went back two more times during our visit and each time the drinks were fantastic and the food was just what we needed. Actually going to miss hanging out here now that we’re home!

The coffee here is so good. They make a good espresso. The pizzas & pastries are decent too. It’s a nice place to chill but sometimes it’s difficult to find an open table.

Alaska Coffee Roasting Co. was a pretty cool place. The skinny pumpkin pie latte I ordered was very good. Baked goods included blueberry bread pudding and chocolate chip cookies… the bread pudding was tasty and the cookies were ok. They also had chia pudding, pizza, quinoa salad, pasta salad and egg salad. There were plenty of people hanging out and everyone looked like they were enjoying themselves. Tables were available indoors and out. Staff were great.

Nice place with several great options for food and a nice selection of beverages(both coffee and other types such as sodas, juices and smoothies). We got a soda, a cappuccino and a pizza which was plenty to share for lunch. The pizza was perfectly cooked with chewy, crispy dough, the right amount of cheese and flavors for a nice pie. We’ll definitely be back.

The coffee is excellent but the pastry is a miss. The pockets were doughy underbaked(except for the insides). The strawberry rhubarb muffin had NOTHING on the inside. Not a speck of anything at all. I only bought one because the pocket was mostly inedible and was disappointed twice.

The coffee here is excellent, although the staff member who waited on is couldn’t tell us whether their decaf espresso beans were Swiss water process or not, and wasn’t at all interested in finding out for us. I had the hot pocket for breakfast and, while the scrambled egg and potato filling was tasty, the dough holding the whole thing together was under baked. Plus, there was an excessive amount of it. I would try the quiche if I return, as they looked pretty good.
