Some of the best Korean food I’ve had in the U.S. The Spicy Pork Bulgolgi is spot on. I’ve struggled to find a Korean dish as good as there’s since I’ve moved.

This place is great! Probably the best Korean food in the Dayton area. Have been going since the week the original owner opened the doors probably 10+ years ago. My friends and I used to go at least once a week(usually more) for lunch. A couple of us had been stationed in Korea and really like Korean food. I have tried numerous things on the menu but love the ojingo bokum, mandu and banchan. Although the place is small(looks like it used to be an old taco bell or something), we have also had larger groups and going ways here and they have always been very accommodating. This place can be busy at lunch but usually slower for dinner. Bottom line — great food at a great price.

This restaurant is very close to me. I thank god for that, lol. Although, like many Korean restaurants in the Midwest, a bit over priced but I love everything they make. My favorites are yuke gaejung and ojingo bokum. They provide your usual banchan(side dishes) which are tasty. The service is very quick and straight forward. The building doesn’t look awesome but it is most certainly a hidden gem for me. I just wish they were open on Sundays, too. :)

Yung’s offers a great value in comparison to some other Korean eateries in the Dayton area. It’s a small place, but the food is solid. The Haemul Sundubu Jjigae was good, though the quantity of soft tofu in comparison to the broth made it difficult to eat. The Bul Go Gi was quite delicious. Service was quick and courteous. The 6 accompanying side dishes were all delicious. I’ll need to go back and see how the Hot Bibimbap compares to what I’m used to.

Best Korean restaurant in ohio. The beef bulgogi is amazing. I could eat it every day. Also the same person makes it every day all day, so it’s great every time.

the food is very authentic! very nice side dishes, I love those! They recently adjust the price and the lunch special is nearly 9 – 10 bucks, a little overprice for lunch! But still my top choice.

As a new fan of Korean food(thanks Hubby!) I found Yung’s to be the best local place for a stone hot pot! Their atmosphere is humble and that’s putting it lightly, but the service is incredibly friendly, the prices are fair, and the food, aside from a few items that I was disturbed to discover were frozen(and refrozen, eek) seems to be very fresh and incredibly tasty. What can I say? I think this is a great place to get your feet wet if you’re in the area and new to the Korean scene since they are so very friendly and willing to explain everything in great detail and with sweet patience. Yung’s has quite a following I understand, I don’t see it going anywhere soon! Enjoy it! It is well worth a visit!

Yum! Love having good Korean in the Dayton area! Not too fancy but good descriptions for beginners and even good liquor.

Do not let the looks of this place fool you, it is hands down the best Korean place in Dayton. Service can be a little slow on busy Friday or Saturday nights, but you won’t be disappointed by the food. They have caved to American tastes and will adjust your spiciness 1 – 5. Their kimchi soup(Kimchi jjigae) is just the thing for a head cold! Boiling hot, and just the right spice! Very authentic, and since you normally see a heavy Korean clientele, you know you are getting good food.

This is by far my favorite Korean restaurant in Dayton! They are fast, inexpensive and love their lunch specials! They even have the option for their bim bim bop in a hot pot just like I remember having it in South Korea! If you are craving some good bulgogi, go here and you won’t be disappointed!

Yung’s Café is a gem in downtown Fairborn. The prices are very reasonable. Lunch goes at about $ 8 for quite a range of Korean meals. The food is excellent and authentic. I’ve seen much higher prices other places where people tend to pay more for the scenery than their meals. The food is as good here as it is at Saya or Sima, at 1⁄3rd the price. It is a Mom and Pop joint, nothing flashy, but I think that adds to the charm. 10% military discount in uniform at lunch! Dinner prices are higher, but the quanity and caliber of the food go up too.

This is one of those little restaurants that really get my attention. It’s near the WPAFB. Myong’s is a family owned Korean restaurant. Having recently had Beef Bulgogi at Natalie’s in downtown Cbus, I wanted to try another restaurant’s version. This place has all the makings of a go-to place for Korean food. It’s located in a former Taco Bell. There is no ambiance. They are in a lower income area. It smells wonderful when you walk in the door. Walking in you get a genuinely warm hello from the employees. So, I scanned the menu for a few minutes and ordered the following: To start off, I ordered the Makgeoli(Korean rice wine) which I really didn’t care for. They also brought out some appetizers to go with the wine: Kim Chee, Spicy Bean Sprouts, Fish Strips, something like hash brown potatoes, plus a couple more that I can’t remember… there were 6 in all. I ate most of them. All were pretty good. Beef Bulgogi — Generous portion of marinated beef, medium spicy as requested, with a side of white rice and two pot stickers. Excellent! Wonderful flavor and much better than the version I had at Natalie’s. I wouldn’t hesitate to get this again. Since I didn’t care for the Makgeoli, I decided to try some Korean beer, which was called OB beer. It’s a lager which put me in mind of Tsingtao. The service was very attentive but not unobtrusive. Very polite and friendly. It’s definitely on my list of places to go back to in the near future.

Myongs Café isn’t bad. It’s not fantastic though. Service is eh. Food was tasty though. Our group started off with some yaki mandu… fried dumplings. They were okay. I had the Galbi dinner… cost about $ 17 I think and was LA Style bbq, but instead of the three bones, each strip of galbi had 5 bones. 5 Bone LA Style Korean Galbi. The bathroom’s located outside the building, which sucks if it’s raining, dark or inclement. The other customers in the restaurant were Korean /Korean American so I guess that adds some authenticity to this place.

Drove 5 hours to this place. I had a craving for Korean food and this place fulfilled it! Great side dishes. My husband liked it too except he was a little disappointed with the Bim Bim Bop. He was hoping it came in a hot stone bowl.

I was there the last time I shopped at Pleasing Market and Ashley/Ae Sook sent me there. I got the feeling that they didn’t care. I hope it wasn’t that I wasn’t Korean, but the Korean family that arrived as I was about to leave got the royal treatment. It made an impression on me. However, good service or bad, the food wasn’t particularly good. I got soon dubu ji gae and, for the price, I expected a couple of shrimp/prawns in the stew, but there was not much more than the tofu and scallions. I can do that on my own. I’m not sure they were enthusiastic when they started or not, but it would be sad to see them lose business because of their attitude.(I find it interesting that they dropped the M from their name. Hopefully, they dropped the attitude from their service.

Been here twice during a business trip and was not disappointed. Good Korean food is hard to find and this place delivers. I went there in the evening and was the only customer both times. Since the food is so good, I assume it gets a large Air Force Base crowd during the day. Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but most good restaurants never do. If your TDY to WPAFB, and like Korean food, give a try. It is about 1 mile from the HQAFMC gate

No pretenses here. This restaurant is about the food, not the appearances. There is always a good crowd here at lunchtime, and the restaurant thrives on word-of-mouth advertising. Best choices: The beef bool-go-gi is fantastic, and they serve a version of it with chicken or pork as well. There are hand-written extras on the menu, so look for the Bi Bim Bob. It’s VERY good, and more than i could manage to eat for lunch. If you like noodles, go for the Chap Chae. I haven’t had it, but my co-horts have loved the Chicken version of Bool-go-gi too. Next time, i go for the soups. Lunches run about $ 8 to 10, including the main entrée, rice, fried potstickers, and dishes of kimchee, bean sprouts, zucchini and turnip to share. You won’t leave hungry either.
