Had family in Fairbury for several years and when visiting always enjoyed Jalisco, surprisingly good restaurant for such a backwater town where the locals tend to be rude and don’t take kindly to strangers. Love the salsa containers where you pour the desired amount into a bowl for dipping, everything I’ve had on the menu is excellent

We ate dinner here on a Friday night. For a small town, this place was pretty busy. We were also a party of about 20 – 25(all in town for a funeral), so I’m sure we were quite the scene to the locals. We did get some dirty look from the other guests, even though we were not loud, and all our kids were behaving well. Maybe it was because we were not from around there? The food was good, the service was great even though our party was large, and the prices were very reasonable. I would definetely go here again!

I had lunch at Jalisco, recommended by two friends from the area, especially because there are very few options. I don’t usually go for Mexican in a small country community but I gave it a whirl I had some sort of chicken with an avocado salad and it was, in fact, quite tasty and fresh. The service was excellent. I was there midweek a little after lunch hour and there was a steady stream of customers. That speaks volumes in such a tiny town.
