Camp Bothin officially known as the Bothin Youth Center, is a Girl Scout summer camp along a relatively isolated stretch of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard outside of Fairfax. The property actually goes back to 1905 when Camp Bothin was established as «Hill Farm», a convalescent home for women and children. I have previously been here as part of a fatther-daughter girl scout-related weekend. We stayed in the old Manor house and it was a fun weekend. I especially enjoyed the girl energy and the social opportunities with a neat bunch of parents. You also don’t expect a lot of comfort in youth camp situations, but it was just fine and would be an experience that I would love to repeat if I could.
