Cedars gourmet is an all in one experience. From the experienced Lebanese chef on the grill, making very authentic Lebanese food. In addition to the traditional favorites, such as subs, pizza, and burgers. You could taste the warmth in their food, this family owned and run business is exemplary. They stay on top of their food quality and cleanliness, I would highly recommend this establishment.

They used to allow outside drinks before because they didn’t have half the shit on their menu. Then suddenly they decided they’re going to enforce it after I brought a drink inside. Good customer service would be to allow it this once and not allow it in the future. Pathetic, apparently the management is horrible to their employees as well. Also if you’re going to order food, prepare to wait upwards of an hour for something simple.

Sat Night take-out order. After being told the order would be ready in 15 – 20 mins, I arrived to discover that they hadn’t even started to make my order. The kitchen looks a bit in disarray, feels like they’re remodeling and have new owners possibly. The meat tasted like it had been re-heated a few times already that day. The rice was not fresh and was clumpy. They skimp on the sauce, which makes most of the items unbearably dry. Probably one of the worst Mediterranean meals I’ve ever had. I’m sad since this placed used to be a solid spot, not sure what has happened as of late.

Just had their gyro platter entrée. I was really excited, however, upon closer inspection(I was stupid enough not to examine it while at the restaurant) I found no feta, no sauce and no pita. I can live without the bread and the cheese, but no yogurt sauce was not a good set up. You gotta have sauce with gyro meat. So dissapointed. They seem like nice people, but quality check is non existent. Thank god for it being only around ten bucks.

Cedars serves food and hookah. The food is amazing– I really love the mixed grill of anyyy of the sandwiches! The hookah is really good– I love the gum and mint flavor the best. And the service is excellent! They are super friendly, the place is clean and fast service! If you are looking for a chill spot to hang out this is the place!

Good club sandwiches and steak and cheese. It’s in a small strip mall on Rt. 29. Only have had carry out, never ate in. Have not been to location since they opened up the hookah place next door. Food is OK, not the best, not the worst. Service is relatively quick, food is made to order and tastes fresh. Will give it a try soon to check out their hookah bar and newer food items.

I really enjoy their chicken shewarma. although it’s been made a little differently each time. Once there were french fries inside and another time the pita was grilled. Either way. best shewarma i n Merrifield

Great food. Great atmosphere. The beef and chicken shawarma is superb. Customer service is excellent. Hookah bar is separated from dining(if you choose). I would come here again.

I am visiting my daughter in Annandale and my son stopped by for lunch. We ordered from Grub Hub and picked this place. He ordered a gyro and I ordered chicken shawarma. He said his was ok, but we both loved the shawarma! It was cooked to perfection, rice was delicious, pita freshly baked with a nice light garlic sauce. More than enough to eat. We also ordered something like baklava(pistachio type pastry), it was good, but if it had been drenched in honey it would have been better. I thought it was a great spot, would definitely order again, in fact, I even thought about it today!

My boyfriend and I just ordered some lunch for delivery. I got a sausage and bacon breakfast sandwich on a croissant and a chicken salad over mixed greens. The breakfast sandwich is mediocre. The bacon itself is so incredibly undercooked. It’s chewy and still slightly cold. Not healthy or safe for consumption. The chicken salad over mixed greens is tolerable at best. It tasted more of celery seed and celery salt than anything else. Thank god for the ranch dressing I was provided. It’s the only thing to save this.

I got the hot turkey Parmesan which is featured as a «specialty sandwich». First of all the description says«hot turkey breast», what I have is 2 slices of cold cut turkey that was not hot at all. Also the description says«toasted to perfection», they didn’t toast it at all. Over all I’m very disappointed with my purchase and will not be ordering from here again.

I have never been here but like a previous review I have experienced aggressive driving and was almost rear-ended by the driver and the Cedar’s van. He was constantly honking, tailgating, and as he sped past, rolled his window down to shout at me. We were in traffic near many pedestrian crosswalks where young students and parents with strollers were walking. I do not break the law or put others in danger because of bad traffic, but the Cedar’s driver certainly would.

6÷4÷132:20PM I’ve been meaning to try this place since it is right near my barber shop, and I always passed it with a high degree of curiosity. Why, you may ask? It is because I spent some time working at a deli, and believe that some of these establishments can turn out a mean meal that creates an addiction that needs to be satiated on a weekly basis. As I walked in, I realized that Cedar’s is part deli and a Lebanese quick service restaurant. That immediately turned me on to the ethnic side of the menu. I quickly ordered a gyro, and the young worker pulled out a frozen, perfectly-cut slab of gyro meat(the ones you would find at Restaurant Depot). Quite alarmed, I asked the employee to switch it to the shawarma sandwich since they had 2 vertical spits running(one beef, one chicken). He kindly obliged, and I ordered the beef. The young employee quickly sliced off a good amount of meat and threw it on the grill. After heating up the meat, he then put the meat/toppings on the pita and wrapped the sandwich and away we go. So as I am eating the shawarma sandwich, I am wondering to myself, where is the flavor of the beef(I am pretty sure the lad shaved off a good amount of meat and placed it into the gyro). It turns out, the shawarma is a bit underwhelming and quite dry. The pickled toppings overpower the entire pita sandwich. I quickly devoured my meal and went on in bafflement… Is this how Lebanese food is supposed to taste?

Great family-owned restaurant! The guys that work there are incredibly nice and offered me a sample of one of their desserts while we were waiting for our food. There are massive platters of Lebanese desserts when you walk in the door. They sell them by the piece, or by the pound. I got a veggie wrap and was pleasantly surprised when it came out and wasn’t a «token veggie wrap.» You know what I mean… the iceberg lettuce, cold tomatoes, olives, peppers and sprouts. Oh no… this had green peppers, onions, lettuce all grilled with vinegar, lots of black pepper and lightly sprinkled with feta cheese that was gently melting into the goods. The wrap was warm, the filling hot… no, definitely not the token veggie wrap! My companion got a tuna salad sandwich with bacon and cheese and he looked quite happy with his selection. They will be opening up a hookah section outside, so that will be fun when that happens! I’ll be hitting this place up on the way home from work sometime and getting some food to take home to the boyfriend. It has good deli food with a flair of Lebanese so please try this place and support a local, family-owned business!
