*4.5 stars* Technically, this location closed for good this morning. This saddens me because I’ve had MANY good times here over the past 9 years. From the mile high nachos, queso, waffle fries and soups to the burgers, salads, gyros(was a recent menu add), sandwiches and mile high pie… I could always find something good to eat! My experience at Champps wouldn’t have been as great without some awesome employees over the years: Albin, Jake, Alison, Chris, Jasmine and so many more… Thanks for being great at what you do! Always kind, attentive and fun. Good luck in your future endeavors!

In short: food was just OK. Service was good. Restrooms were clean. Appetizer came out cold and laid out poorly, but was rectified fairly quickly with a better presented, hot replacement. Third timing coming, but still not convinced; will not come here again. Details: not sure why I keep coming here; probably cause the Mrs was craving something here. First time here, order a burger that was unimpressive. Now came cause it was the closest and we were hungry and didn’t want to wait. Service was good. The waitress explained the happy hour special which applied to the dining area, not just the bar, which was a positive. We ordered bacon wrapped potato wedges, clam chowder soup, Philly cheese steak, and my wife ordered a burger even though I suggested otherwise. I requested to bring the soup with my sandwich. First thing, appetizer came cold and was just tossed onto the plate. I didn’t care for the presentation cause it’s just an appetizer, but it was noticeable when they replaced the cold appetizer with a hot one and presented it professionally. Then they brought my soup with the appetizer even though I wanted it with the sandwich-not attentive. Sandwich turned out well. My wife found the burger OK. Overall, still not convinced. This restaurant is part of a mall, so there are definitely other options available.

We stopped here for lunch this afternoon, Ironically it’s probably a good thing that I did not see the reviews for this place before we ended up here. Because I probably would have suggested otherwise. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the meal. We were quickly seated in the middle of the dinning room, and taken care of very quickly. the server was a nice man who kept an excellent tab on our table. I’m one of those patrons who devours drinks by the second but I was delighted to see my glass was never empty for long. For lunch we had the cheeseburger and fries as well as the pulled pork lunch special sliders and french onion soup. The fries were very good, the burger I’ve been told was not the best and not the worst. The sliders were very tasty in my opinion. If all the food was perfect I’d give it four stars but I would definitely stop back in again to ensure it’s as good as it was today.

I like champs! My coworkers took me a long time ago. I met Jim Zorn and his coaching staff. The food is great. I’m eating a chicken sandwich as we I write this. The service is always good. They show majority of the sports games here so you can catch your team. Great food! I recommend the chicken tacos and the nachos as an appetizer. Good happy hour too! Way better than Buffalo Eild Wings

This place was great! I went with some friends of mine on a Monday night to grab some food. I was almost immediately seated and served. I have no idea why service has been rated so low because the service I experience was great! I ordered the chipotle BBQ sandwich with onion rings and it was fantastic. It filled me up and was delicious and cooked well. This place isn’t anything super special but if you’re looking for a consistent place this is it. It’s also a great place to catch practically any game since they have a lot of TVs playing different sports.

So close to five stars, but just short. For general mall family chain, this location is really quite good. I especially recommend the burgers. While they are not out of control good like you can get at come of the burger joints, they are above average. The grown up grilled cheese, on the other hand, is very good, as are the sweet potato waffle fries. For me they also score points for service. They were perfectly happy to add provolone cheese and horseradish sauce to my French dip without any blowback or extra charges. However, two things cost them a star. First, the beer menu is basically uninteresting. Second, the kids macaroni and cheese looks and tastes like Kraft macaroni and cheese, but costs twice as much as a box from the supermarket.

I’ve been here several times with my wife. I get the firehouse burger, she gets something less interesting. Service is always good, no problems. The waitress did make fun of me for ordering a skinny margarita-served me right

They’ve actually discontinued the half price apps and burgers, which makes the cover for UFC events raise the check to a new level… there are other places that don’t charge a cover with food that’s just as decent. We suggest seeing the fights elsewhere now.

Champps has been a staple in my HH adventures since I moved to the area. First, it was Pentagon Row, now it is Fair Oaks Mall. The food is pretty good, but they don’t have a lot of diet-friendly options. I really like the Chicken Satay appetizer and frequently order it for my entrée. I can only hope that if I don’t eat the big fried pastry thing that comes with it, I might be nearing the healthier category. At least there are lots of veggies and white meat chicken ;) Champps is just a place where I’m always comfortable. Comfy booths, spacious spaces to hold retirements, promotions, and farewells without being too hoity-toity or too dive bar-ish. Go, you’ll like it. You may not remember it, but you’ll like it.

Good food, not great. Smelled a little funky like smoke or a musty smell when you walk in. Looks like it would be a good place to watch a game. Ordered the wed special of fajitas for 9.99. They were okay. I would definitely not pay full price for them. Service seemed to lack some professionalism.

The food here is pretty good and the service at the bar is great. However, this post is specifically related to the management or rather the lack of management here. I witnessed a server drop a large bowl of ranch dressing which splattered at least 5 different people in a 10 foot area. I then watched the manager acknowledge it and yell at the server, but he did not once apologize to any of the patrons that were hit by the ranch dressing. I understand it wasn’t his or Champps fault, but an apology was definitely needed.

This is your average chain restaurant. Really just nothing special about it. I got the fish and chips and it felt heavy and gross the rest of the day. I need to just stay away from big chain places as it does not fit my eating preferences anymore.

This sports bar is in the Fair Oaks Mall. We’ve eaten here on several occasions when shopping at the mall. It is decent restaurant in the mall that doesn’t have long waits. I also like the sports bar aspect during college football and basketball seasons; they have multiple TVs to follow multiple games simultaneously. They have a decent sports bar food menu — appetizers, salads, entrees, pastas, sandwiches, and burgers. I like their quesadilla appetizer, chicken breast entrees, and gyros, club, and Cuban sandwiches. They have a decent selection of draft beers. I recommend this Champps to anyone at or near the mall looking for a reasonable, table service meal.

I randomly came here for a late dinner on Friday night. Honestly, I do forget about this restaurant sometimes, even though its really close by my house. However, they recently sent me a $ 10 coupon in the mail so i figured, meh … why not? One of the things I love about Champps is the variety of its menu. It has all of the old standby’s such as burgers, wings, mile high nachos … but everything is done RIGHT. i have never had complaints about the food here. Good food … decent prices. AND they have an extensive beer list. You can find just about any domestic or import here :) Not to mention, they have different specials, just about every night of the week. We had the kobe beef sliders as an app, chicken pot pie(yum!) and steak fajitas. Friday night was karaōke night, so we were lucky to be entertained by some bad and not-so-bad singing. With all of the tvs located around the restaurant, its a great, mellow place to watch any sporting event.

I cant say that I would normally frequent a place like Champps Americana however it wasn’t as bad as I thought. I would say its like a Applebees diner lol .I ordered the blackened chicken Alfredo which was pretty good. My friend had the bacon cheese burger and said that was good as well. My server was excellent but it was just a weird vibe in the restaurant .I wasn’t please with the yelling bar attendants who seem to be overly enjoying the baseball game. Cant say that I will go out of my way to eat here again.

I went there twice in one weekend. On Friday, it was dead and the service was overwhelmed buy a group of 15. The bartender was not nice, he would not assist our struggling waitress, and the chicken tenders were awful, rubbery, and cold. No one offered me any condiments for them either so I had to sit there and wait wait wait for ketchup. The next day I went back, only because I had a Groupon that I needed to use. I waitress came to our table twice. Other staff members that walked past would notice that we didn’t have drinks or that we needed refills and would help out. I ordered salmon and spinach which was so terrible because it tasted like it was freezer burnt before they put in the microwave. I will never go back unless it is for a drink.

Bad service TAKE A PASS I used to like this place We went there around 5pm on a Sat with 6 people and there was a few tables seated and the hostess said it would be 45 min I asked why and she said oh the servers are not ready BADEXCUSE We went next door to Cheesecake Factory(Traditionally a long wait) And we explained what happened and she bumped us to the top of list and we were sat in 5 min

This is just about your average sports bar. It doesn’t offer any gourmet food but they offer plenty of fast food á la carte. This is one of many pit stops available at Fair Oaks Mall where you can stop by and get some food and continue the shopping. The Chicken Ranch Wraps and Roasted Turkey Sandwiches are really good. You’ll get a handful of nachos with salsa on your plate as well. From the salad menu we also choose Chicken Bruschetta Salad which was very fresh and delicious. On a negative note, I would rate the staff just below average. They were friendly and hospitable when they were around, but I don’t like when they ignore their customers at times.

[review is for fight nights] I’ve been to this Champps on more than one occasion, and many of their dishes are complete misses(the only shining light are their nachos). The nice thing about coming here, though, isn’t necessarily for their food — it’s for their fight nights. The last time were came to this Champps was to watch the Pacquiao vs. Margarito fight. We arrived around 8PM, paid our $ 10 cover, and hung out at the bar until they found us the«best seat possible»(and they really did try to accommodate us). The great thing is that they never let people stand in the seating area, so you can always find a good seat with a decent view somewhere in the restaurant. The servers did a great job getting around to all of the tables even though the place was packed, and by the time the fight was over, the bill was paid and we left the place in victory(Go Pacquiao!)!

One and a half stars. Oh Chad. You sound like a robot but you mean so well, and you catch onto body language so quickly. You’ve got the routine down pat though, and for all my complaints I felt well taken care of. Reliable recommendations would’ve been nice, but from the sounds of things the regulars love you. Your fellow servers are equally chipper and friendly. Lots of TVs around, with many seating options facing multiple screens. Whee happy hour… still should’ve tried the New England lobster dip, I think. Crappy beer options, so I requested my watermelon martini frozen instead of on the rocks, and with a salt rim. Brain froze myself like a genius, but it turns out I really needed it for the trial ahead. Sliders came out warm, buns fresh from the bag and untoasted, pulled pork thick with an overly sweet Southwestern barbeque sauce and more of it in a ramekin for dipping. Large pickle slices of varying thicknesses nestled between the bread roof and the meat dollop, adding a hint of tang the sliders direly need. Why do I do this to myself? My stomach is disenchanted and my palate is revolted. Five hours of gross BBQ burps. A+ service C– booze D+ food.
