Last year, I had major renovations done on my townhouse in Sterling, VA. It involved renovating two bathrooms, repainting the entire interior, and replacing carpeting and other finishings in the house. The total cost came up to more than $ 10K. They guaranteed their work up to a year. Last month, my tenant complained of some problems with both bathrooms. After calling in independent contractors to check the work, I was told that problem appear to stem from the initial work done a year ago. I contacted Connor Construction(Jae Bae, President) on January 11th, and he told me that he could check it, but it was no longer under warranty. I corrected him and told him that final completion of the work was not done until final payment was made, which was January 23, 2013. I also reminded him that the complaint of the tenant had been presented in December, well within the time-frame. He checked the place some time ago, and have not responded to me since. He has not returned my calls, my emails, nor my text messages. I would be nice for him to check the report provided by the independent contractor, and fix what needs to be fixed, and provide a fair estimate for whatever may be above and beyond what is covered.
