Time was tight so I found Lorelei when I was searching in Unilocal for a nearby hairdresser. The combination of an eco-​stylist with excellent reviews who comes to my home was both amazing & irresistible. She’s about to get swooped up, big time. Her skills are too good to not be booked for weeks in advance, but at the moment, you should be able to get an appointment the same week, but call as much in advance as you can. She really listens to what a client wants! The moment we met, I felt at ease and loved being able to sit in our lovely garden and get my hair done! She’s the kind of stylist who will listen to your life story, if you want, or just let you relax, if you prefer. Having eco hair care is very important to me, and with the beautiful soul that Lorelei has, it was so much more than just a hair appointment! I just found my Marin hairdresser! It’s rare to find someone who is patient, caring, professional, punctual, eco-​friendly, high-​integrity, and up-​to-​date with what’s going on, on every level! Lorelei is an amazing human being and top-​notch hairdresser! Totally worth the cost, which is extremely reasonable given all the benefits listed above!

DANDELION NO LONGER HAS A STOREFRONT. Lorelei brings the salon to you, what could be better than that? Oh, I know, she could use cruelty-​free, environmental-​conscious products. Guess what? She does that too!
Lorelei came over to my home and touched up my roots while we were outside on the patio under a big redwood tree. No chemical salon smells, no mess, just sitting in nature getting my hair done. While the color sat on my hair, Lorelei hung out in front while I got some work done. Then 25 min later, she shampooed my hair with some great, non-​harmful products and I was done. And I never had to leave home, I didn’t have to wait in traffic, I didn’t inhale tons of chemical smells-​what a brilliant idea! She lives in Fairfax too which was convenient when she decided to use a color she did not bring with her, she just ran home, it took less than 10 min.
Having Lorelei come to you beats going to the salon any day of the week! She specializes in cutting hair, at home, for entire families. She loves kids and though I’m not a kid, I will definitely call her again when I need my hair done!

I can pretty much say that this was the first haircut of my life where I really enjoyed the process AND the results! Lorelei really knows her stuff. Definitely a great experience… not only does my hair look good but I had fun!

Lorelei has given me consistently fantastic haircuts for the last year. She taught me how to work with my not-​curly-​not-​straight hair, and has been extremely responsive to my requests and input. She can always fit me in within a week of my call, and I always leave her salon happy. Moreover, she’s just a lovely person and I really enjoy chatting with her every month or so!

I had my hair cut by Lorelei. I have long thick hair and she did a great job taming it. I also learned a lot about how to keep better care of my hair. I am going back for regular cuts! My wife also goes and learned how best to use henna.

How many times have you shown a stylilst a picture of how you’d like your hair cut and have been disappointed? This will not happen when Lorelei cuts your hair! I brought two photos and asked her combine the cut/​length and she did a remarkably creative cut that was just perfect.
The salon is comfortable and cozy and Lorelei is just a lovely person whose talents border on the absolute artistic. I was pleasantly surprised and delighted with my cut and can enthusiastically recommend Dandelion Eco Salon!

Lorelei is adorable. I have not had my hair cut in quite a while and wanted something not too drastic but fresh. She did a great job and I love the way my hair looked. I had been looking for a home for my hair and now I have found it.

Believe it or not, for the last six years, I have had terrible luck finding a stylist who can consistently cut my curly (and slowly receding) hair.
But last week I tried Marcia at the Dandelion in Fairfax. Honestly, I was so nervous going in, because I’ve had so many negative feelings leaving Bay Area salons.
Right away, Marcia and Lorele made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I brought photos of what my Seattle stylist has done, and Marcia took one quick look, and understood exactly what I wanted. She’s holds credentials from two stylist schools, including Vidal Sassoon, which she spoke of highly. But credentials aside, Marcia is very skilled, super smart, and so warm and positive that I felt great the whole time.
After my wash and cut, I ran to the bank to get some cash (they don’t take cards), and someone complimented me on my new short haircut while I was out! It’s been four days now, and my haircut still looks great! Everyone likes it, especially me.
Finally, a place in Marin where I can get my hair cut. Thank you, Marcia!

Marcia has been doing my hair for many years. She’s the best stylist, and is now using only non-​toxic ingredients. The more I educate myself on the chemical toxins in the cosmetic industry, the better I feel about Marcia’s philosophy and using safe ingredients. She’s gifted when it comes to cutting your hair too! Also, she’s fun to hang out with during the process! Only negative for me is the location in Fairfax. Traffic can be bad, but there is a lot across the street.

What a fantastic find! Great service, friendly owner and cozy spot. The salon takes great care to only use high quality eco friendly products. I’ve spent ages searching for non-​toxic hair care products that work well, and finally found what I was looking for at Dandelion.

I LOVED meeting and spending time with Lorelei! She was fun, very knowledgeable about her products and methods and a delight to spend time with.
She is a very good listener and really follows through on what you are saying… In other words, if you are growing out your hair and you agree that you’ll wait on a cut, she won’t suddenly start cutting your hair half way through the appointment.
In addition, she has a great set of products and shows you how to style your hair so that you are part of the process and not just looking good the day you leave the salon.
My next hair appointment won’t be for another 6 weeks, but I’ll spend that time enjoying my hair (not hating it) and thanking Lorelei for each wonderful hair day!
