I live in LA and I fly back to work with Mike. One of the all time greats! His tattoos are magic and I get compliments no matter where I am for Mike’s art.

He is the best artist in the state easily. Most professional, consistent and knowledgeable. The wait is nothing, once you have the work done you will see it is well worth it.

Mike Sikes is amazing. Simply put. I’ve known him since he started tatooing and have seen so much of his work through the years.
We are currently putting the finishing touches on a very large back piece. Large or small work, it doesn’t matter. The care and pride he shows in his approach to consultations and the actual work he does shows from the minute you walk in the door. His knowledge of symbolism, art, and tatooing styles is fantastic. He truly loves and cares about his art and it shows in the final result. I’ve recommended him to many of my friends and they are equally as pleased with the work he does on them.

He’s most definitely worth the wait… and I’m glad that I waited almost a year to get inked by him! If you’re going for color, you’re in for a treat. Even though I’m naturally tan, the color on my skin is VIBRANT!
He’s extremely professional, flawlessly clean, and his work is AWESOME. He’s easygoing and has a warm personality — so you’ll definitely feel like you’re in good hands.
I’m totally looking forward to getting additional work done by him! He’s THE BEST tattoo artist in this area!

Apparently my first review was filtered out and I didn’t even notice!
It was the only review I had ever written and the only reason I signed up for Unilocal!in the first place… but maybe that looked fishy to the filter or something?
Mike Sikes at Eyespeak Tattoo is an incredible artist!
I got my first tattoo from him in 1993 and I now have 6 pieces of his work.
He’s meticulously clean, shows extreme attention to details and has a really unique style. Don’t take that to mean he only draws in one style — because he can do anything from Traditional to Asian to incredibly lifelike flora and fauna.
He did 2 huge pinup girls for me, one on each thigh. One is all grey shading, no linework at all, it looks like a charcoal drawing. The other one is all color, traditional with a Sikes signature to it. He actually drew it up from my description with no visual reference. I also have some smaller pieces, which he took care of quickly and with a lot of patience — I am kind of a wuss about needles.
I now live in Austin, Texas, so it’s hard for me to still get tattooed by Mike, but if I still lived in VA, I would have a lot more of his work covering my skin!
He has a lot of clients with HUGE back & chest pieces, sleeves and full legs. If you are looking for amazing, custom, one of a kind work that will be done in a professional, artistic manner — you should call Mike at Eyespeak.

I know its weird… i haven’t even gotten a tattoo from him YET… but I saw a girl at starbucks about 2 years ago… it was the MOST INSANE COLORS!!! it was a peacock feather on her back… i asked her who did it, and she said Mike Sykes did… I am WAITING to get a tattoo from this guy, i had never seen color like this… and she even said she got it done about 1.5 years ago and it was still that bright. amazing… hopefully the day is sooner than later… he is not taking new clients right now :-/​i guess i have to be patient.

You don’t get much better than Mike Sikes and Eyespeaks.
This man has an amazing eye for art, tattooing, and color. You give him your idea and he brings it to life. I have had two large tattoos done by him and both are over 2 or more years old now and people ask me all the time if I just got them done. I do put a lot of sunscreen on them but I’m also in the sun A LOT!
His prices are very good considering how amazing he is. I would much rather pay a bit more than other shop prices and have work that is 10 times better than any other shop I have been too.
The only issue I have with Mike is that he is in Fairfax, and I’m now located in Denver. It makes it really difficult to get anything done. If only I had a private jet.
