COMMUNITY SUPPORT matters! My husband and I have saved at First Federal (Fairfax) for almost thirty years. We have loved all managers and workers, and even though they are always recommending we move savings to a higher interest bearing account, we are happy to keep it in passbook simply because, well, because First Federal supports the community (local and global). It supports Rotary International, and Shelterbox, and the local little league team. I’ll let them make whatever they can off our savings just to keep a local, supportive, wonderful team of people in a healthy, happy environment.

The nicest folks ever. although their lack of an ATM used to drive me crazy, and i had to move my account when i moved away since they only have 2 branches, this bank definately epitomizes the small town banking experience as it should be. half the time growing up i would need to make a transaction but would’ve forgotten my bank book, but since they know everybody and everything thats going on with them and they knew i was a flakey little kid, they’d have my account number ready for me behind the counter. When i moved away, there would always be a mandatory visit back just to drop in and say hello, and they would surprisingly be totally up to date with everything i’d been doing. all in all, just very very friendly service that tries to bend over backwards to help you.
