Not to toot my own Chupa Chup but I know a thing or two about a thing or two when it comes to candy. I have the stomach flab to prove it. After flipping unsuccessfully through one too many clothing racks, I made a detour around the dated, blue-tiled, coin-sucking mall fountain to treat myself to something sweet. I’d never been into Fuzziwig’s but I always loved how nostalgic and Wonka-esque the sign looked. I was excited. I went in, ripped a plastic bag off the roll and made my way down the wall of sugary bins. What a disappointment. Half the bins were either empty or dangerously low. I even saw a few bins full of holiday-themed candy. In February. I didn’t want to be the ass who left with an empty bag so I scooped a handful of sour gummies(blue raspberry bottles, my favorite) into the bag, paid for them and left. They were hard.
