Horizon Child Development

I have had my daughter at this school for almost 3 years now. This is without a doubt the best school that she has attended by far. I have had her at two other schools in the area, all of which have been par for the course. This school has not only caring teachers, but extremely caring staff and administrators. This school has real activities for the kids. They bring in extra activities all the time, like languages, puppet shows, reptiles, go to the zoo. This school goes out of their way to make kids time and life here enjoyable. If I have more kids, they will all be going to the same school, Horizons Child Development.

I. LOVE.THIS.PLACE. I love it so much I feel the need to leave a review, especially since I had such a hard time finding a place due to the lack of reviews on pretty much all day cares.
When touring day cares in the area, I had my reservations about each one of them. Then, by chance, I stumbled upon Horizon. As soon as I walked in I was in love with how CLEAN the facility was! I can’t express enough how big a difference this was than even some of the academies nearby.
The teachers and staff are just SO wonderful that I feel so at ease during the day knowing my daughter is in good hands (and I am a first time mom, so just imagine the anxiety I had when trying to find a place for my little one to attend!). Even the front staff is amazing. They are so flexible and can work with our sometimes unpredictable schedule. Unfortunately, we are moving and have to find another day care, which is actually my biggest regret of needing to move because I just love it here so much.
If you are in search of a good day care in the area — THIS IS IT.

I am sorry, but the previous review by Rebecca G is a bunch of hogwash. I have my daughter attending this school from age 6 months. Now she is 6 yrs old. In all these years I have always been absolutely satisfied with the quality of this school in every possible way. The teachers in this school go out of their way and often spend their own money to provide the kids a happy and productive environment. When I drop off my daughter in the morning I know she is in good hands. Without this confidence I would probably not be able to go to work in peace every day. I think Horizon has been justly chosen as one of Nova’s top schools by the Northern Virginia Magazine (January 2014 issue). About kids being called to the director’s office, I think parents should take some responsibility in disciplining their kids at home, so they are not distractions to others in the school.

We have LOVED having our son go to Horizon. The teachers are so friendly, and everyone says hello and goodbye when we come and go. My son’s old teachers stop us in the hall to ask how he’s doing and say hi to him. He hugs his teachers when we drop him off! We have really loved having our son go here, and have already recommended it to friends (who are similarly pleased!)
