My experience was an absolute disaster. I had planned on having my four impacted wisdom teeth taken out by Dr. Kimberly Silloway. I had my consultation with her and felt very comfortable with her being my surgeon. She agreed to do the surgery without general anesthetic as I am afraid of needles and was concerned about the side effects of the anesthetic. I left the consultation feeling reassured. On the day of my surgery, I was sitting in the waiting room. To my utmost surprise, Dr. Park walked in and called my name, saying that he would be doing my surgery. The office had messed up the scheduling and Dr. Silloway was in Centreville. I decided to go through with the surgery since Dr. Park had done procedures for my mother before. Boy, was this a mistake. I should have postponed the surgery. Watching a stranger operate on your mouth is not fun. In addition, Dr. Park was clearly very aggravated that I had chosen not to go under the general anesthesia. He made a rude comment somewhere along the lines of «Guess what? There ARE no side effects of anesthesia!» At some point I needed another lidocaine injection and he let out this huge frustrated sigh and begrudgingly gave me the stuff. Sorry that I don’t want to feel you drilling my impacted molar out of my jaw. It can’t be argued that Dr. Park is incredibly knowledgeable when it come to the field of dentistry. His qualifications are superb and his level of intelligence is quite remarkable. However, this does not make up for his lack of a bedside manner. Oh, and I GREATLY enjoyed not being able to feel the back lower left of my mouth for 5 months. Nerve damage, gotta love it.

I have an anxiety disorder, and Dr. Park made me feel very comfortable prior to my wisdom tooth removal. He really took his time to get to know me as a patient, and catered to my needs. Dr. Park even decided to do my IV himself to avoid pain and repeat attempts to reduce my anxiety. The doctor and his staff were exceptional.
