the main dish and lassi were good, but the naan was not the best that I have had

The food is great, but the wait is too long. I waited for 15min already and then they told me the item I ordered wasn’t available. Also the price is too high for the portion they serve.

I love Indo-Chinese fusion food. We went there on a Saturday night. There was only one person at the front desk to take orders even though there were other employees chatting around doing nothing. The customer in front of us had two groupons and that took close to 15 minutes for completing his order. When it was time to finally place our order the guy at the counter had trouble communicating in English and it took more than 10 minutes for us to complete our order. To our surprise the food was not that bad. The Manchow soup was hot and spicy, the spring rolls were crispy, the hakka noodles could have been more spicy and the paneer hakka noodles had just fried and tough paneer thrown in there, Manchuria bowl had a very thin soup but overall I felt the food was ok but the customer service was very bad and that’s why 2 stars. Bottom line is that they need to improve their customer service!!!

I enjoy this place for a good quick tasty fix. They seem consistent to me and I find the quality good. It’s quick as well.

Mixed feelings and mixed reviews about this place. The Herndon location is definitely better than the Fairfax one mostly because of something trife I saw the girl on the line pull last time I was there, but I already spoke with the manager and because she said she would correct it, no need to mention it here. Customer service needs to be upgraded, as do the cooking skills on some of the dishes. I’m still kind of pressed though because I love Asian fusion so much and they always have a Groupon out to tempt you.

This will be my first bad review ever online but the Pad Thai was not Pad Thai. Girlfriend and I order Pad Thai everywhere we go, this just wasn’t Pad Thai. First order had so much dried chili flakes we couldn’t eat it. Sent back. Second order had NO sauce or flavoring at all. Second try didn’t even have peanuts. Totally disappointed. Will not return.

Never ever returning because there was a roach on our table, disgusting! This place has great tasting foods for an interesting Indo/Chinese blend but extremely OVERPRICED for the food portions and quality of food. We ordered butter chicken masala which comes with basmati rice and Kung pao chicken which comes with jasmine rice. The rice sides just have fancy names trust me I’m Indian so I know what rice with real taste is, it’s just cooked rice with NOTHING extra. Seriously embarrassing. The main dishes were good but not enough for two people. This is a casual dining place with a good environment but they don’t care about their customers. Find another place to eat. *Groupon has a deal $ 12 for $ 20 worth of food check it out*

The main reason that I chose to eat here was because I had a certificate for $ 10. I was incredibly disappointed to learn when I was ordering that they would not take my certificate. The cashier mentioned that they do not take those anymore but only take Groupons. I mentioned that usually is pretty good about notifying me when restaurants that I have certificates for are not participating anymore. To make a long story short, we went back and forth on this for a bit, but the cashier ultimately said they will not take it. I was visibly upset but paid for my meal and sat down. The cashier kept saying it was not their fault. My wife and I sat down waiting for our food. The cashier came over and brought us complimentary mango lassis. That was very nice of him, but it doesn’t make up for the poor taste in my mouth. The food was decent. Good flavor, large quantities. I was incredibly stuffed when I left. Would I come here again? Probably not. It doesn’t taste good enough for me to come back again with the poor experience I had.

Positives: –Portion size is good –Food Variety –Location –Price –Especially with Groupon deals –Mason Student with ID gets discount on one Entrée Things to consider : –Recent change in menu — have not tried everything. –Lamb curry was not good at all but Blazing Noodle and Hakka Noodle is really good. –Garlic Naan is tasty Negatives: –Rude customer service –Inability to resolve simple issues –like when they over charge on an item and seem lost. –Some People working there do not know how to speak to customers. They can definitely do better in customer interactions to make it a overall good experience. I go there at least 5 or more times in a month and would make it a 5 star experience once the employees are trained to provide the best service the place is known for –No Chopsticks… not sure if they ran out at this particular time? I will write another review after my next visit. The last 2 times has not been the best.

I was super excited to see an Indian-Asian fusion restaurant! My two favorite cuisines in one place! Mostly came for the Indian food though. The menu is step process based. Pick a protein, pick sauce and pick a side. I ended up with ordering chicken butter masala with side rice and extra side naan. I also ordered lychee maaza to drink. I enjoyed the casual setting and atmosphere. You get your own drinks and silverware and the kitchen server brings you your food. I was happily surprised that my food came out quickly! They give big portions of rice and naan and my chicken butter masala looked amazing. The taste of the chicken butter masala was amazing. It was buttery enough and the chicken was not dry, but tender and cooked perfectly. I loved the rice, but the naan was okay. It seemed kinda dry to me. Maybe its because I’m used to oilier naan. This naan seemed baked, but its probably healthier. I highly recommend ordering the lychee maaza! So delicious and refreshing after each bite of chicken butter masala!!! I definitely had a lot of left overs that I took home with me. Overall I had a nice experience. Its a good place to go if you want something quick to eat.

It’s like the Panera of Indian restaurants in terms of atmosphere and the quick, simplified ordering process. The service was friendly and helpful. I used the $ 20 for $ 12 group-on and was satisfied with my experience and felt like I got my money’s worth. But I would probably not return for a full priced meal. There are way better authentic Indian places in Herndon that I would rather go to when I have a craving, that are also nearby and in the same price range. The tikka masala with paneer was decent, but I found the rice somewhat dried out and flavorless. The chicken lollipops appetizer and the chili sauce that went with it were especially delightful, though. However, the samosa were overly greasy and clearly not made fresh and the mint chutney for dipping was weird-tasting. I felt like it had a «mojito mix» taste, not sure how else to describe the fake-tasting flavor. The garlic naan was a also huge disappointment. Overall, it was not a bad experience, but it would not be my first choice for Indian food in the area. I did not sample any of the Asian cuisine.

Very disappointing. I used to love this place, now it is dirty and run down. The food came out before the appetizer and the kitchen staff seemed to not care at all, I must say the server was very apologetic. The food was ok, but I swear it used to come with rice and bread. Now it’s one or the other, personally I think it is odd to offer curry with just bread. Did I say it’s dirty, needs a deep clean, everything is scuffed and scratched. Even the server station is missing all the handles.

I was disappointed with the chicken lollipops, way too much breading, overdone. I do enjoy the lamb curry with brown rice, however not a fan overall will not go back

They fuse two of my favorite types of foods — Indian & Asian! The Mongolian sauce with chicken & shrimp is unbelievable!!! And the basmati rice is really good.

I love the place only because of their chicken lollypops. The Indo-asian fusion is good. Great menu which will server every appetite.

First time trying Masala Wok. First off, I don’t really enjoy Indian food very much because the spice makes my stomach sick. But I gave it another chance since I was in the area. I got green curry with vegetables and brown rice. I liked how simple the menu was and how they gave you choice on rice and protein. I’m usually lost whenever I go to an Indian restaurant as they have too many options on their menu. The food here was good. The curry wasn’t too spicy. But I got sick afterwards. The interior is something similar to Chipotle. You get your own forks and spoons.

3.5 stars This place does a bit of a fusion between Asian and Indian food. I have to say I like the concept, but when it comes to delivery, they do a way better job with the Indian food than the Asian food. I love their naan rolls and the Chicken Lollipops are yum yum. All of the indian curries tend to be a little sweet, but are tasty regardless. The place does fail miserably in the samosa department though. The filling is flavorless and the skin all thick and doughy — not a fan. As far as the Asian goes, they have 2 versions — an Indo-Chinese food version and an Indo-Thai version. The Indo Chinese is probably their weakest feat and the Indo Thai is fair if you will. The one thing I like about the place is that service is quick and the food is always fresh — you can see it being cooked in the open kitchen and you know it was cooked right when you ordered. They are also very good about keeping the spice levels to where you need them to be.

Hmmm… BIG no. My issue with this place is what staff did to my food and how they blatantly ignored it and walked away. My coworker and I weren’t even HALFWAY done with our entrees when we stepped over to the soda fountain to refill our drinks. We hadn’t even been gone for thirty seconds when we turned around only to see staff clearing our table.(You’d think a sweater and personal items being left at the table would be an indication to them that we were coming back for our plates which still had a lot of food on them.) We rushed back to our table but it was too late. The food staff had already piled the plates on top of each other(and the food) to take back for washing. When my co-worker told the lady that we weren’t done eating, the lady said, «Oh,» and set the plates back on the table for us to finish our meals and then she quickly walked away. No solution was offered to our bad food and the mistake was completely disregarded as if nothing had happened. I paid over $ 18 for an entrée that I wasn’t even able to halfway enjoy. I regret the generous tip I had already given them too…

I have driven passed this place for years, but never tried it. I assumed it was ungodly expensive like most Indian restaurants, so I was pleasantly surprised when I found I could have a decent Indian meal for about $ 10.00. It is not top of the line Indian, but it’s worth the price and perfect for an ethnic treat without breaking the bank.

I crave for curry often, but I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this place anytime soon. The prices keep increasing and have difficult trusting them. They sometimes charge extra for random orders so keep an eye on your receipt! I was a little disappointed when I asked them what the extra charges were for and they couldn’t tell me why… Wish they made more effort in communication. Hope to see some improvements sometime soon!
