Hit or Miss… Pit Stop has many menu options, but consistency is not there. The same dish can be great one day, but then next time it will be bad. Also they will be out of items, so don’t expect your favorite dish all the time. Steak & eggs is my favorite dish here, but I have been served with the steak raw, over cooked, or they will be out. Eggs can be cooked right, undercooked, or fried with other meat grease so the taste is off. Menu prices are great & that is what keeps us coming.

Stopped for breakfast and was not disappointed. Definitely enough to fill you up, I had the breakfast sandwich with sausage. Thick sausage patties and egg made like I wanted. Like I said, filling and delicious. Going to make this a regular stop to start my day!

Great menu options for various pizzas and burgers and other staples but also a great breakfast menu. Everything is well portioned. I’ve tried a lot of the burgers and pizzas, still way more to try. Good Bloody Mary with bacon in it. Good beer prices. My wife typically craves their steak & egg breakfast, which is inexpensive and good. Small establishment for large parties, typically 1 – 2 servers and 1 cook. Bar is in the back and DQ across the lot for an ice cream desert(though, you’ll leave full). Decent specials as well, just wish they’d post to social media as that would make us drive out there more for them. It’s associated to the various Riley’s places, but feel like it’s its own.

After driving by this restaurant location probably, slightly less than a thousand times, my girlfriend and I decided to stop for lunch. The place is neat and nice and very much of Local little highway stop. The waitress could not be any more friendly or accommodating. We ordered the club sandwich which we shared, and an order of their pitstop fries which are french fries covered in cheese bacon green onion. For $ 20 we had a huge sandwich which was more than enough for the two of us and ended up taking half of the French fries home .it was very good, all you could drink coffee on a cold winter day In iowa and I would recommend this as a stop over on your way between Cedar Rapids and the Amana Colonies

Ordered the Heart Attack for breakfast. 2 biscuits sliced and buttered and grilled. Topped witha chicken fried steak, cream gravy and 2 eggs… just the way I wanted them. Biscuits were the BEST I have ever had! Steak ws good… sausage gravy I was not a fan of. Not bad… but definately not home made or scratch… wich is SO easy to do. All in all… I loved it. I will be back.

I had work in the area and figured I would try a small local place. I was told the skillets were amazing so I got a create your own skillet and it was great. I am the type of guy who likes a lot of food for the money and the skillet didn’t disappoint. I left very full and very happy. If you’re in the area and like breakfast skillets I highly recommend the Pit Stop. They serve breakfast all day long.

Food is still good but consistency is gone. Starting to feel like a place struggling to identify itself and searching to find an identity. Is it a small town tavern or a restaurant? Very frustrating these days.
