Save yourself the headache and just order somewhere else. You’d think with them having a delivery minimum, they would be able to get just two orders right. The worst part about it is the manager is the one who took the order. First of all, I ordered a Phoenix with no lettuce and regular mayo instead of the garlic mayo because I’m allergic to garlic. I let him know, asked him to repeat the order along with the other sandwich, one order of fries and 2 milkshakes. Not only did I get lettuce and garlic mayo on my sandwich, my boyfriends sub was burnt and cold. The fries were as hard as rocks. I called back and the manager said he was sorry and he would have a sandwich sent out for me and a gift card since my boyfriend didn’t want another sandwich. I then realized they sent no straws with the milkshakes so I promptly called back and asked for them to please send straws as well –__-…my sandwich then came but no gift card for reimbursement so I called back and immediately the manager says oh man I forgot to send the GC. at this point I was over it. I told him to void the transaction from the card and he agreed. Terrible delivery service. This isn’t the first time I’ve has issues so I should have known better. I only live a street over. Not acceptable.

They have a wide selection of food choices. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve ordered from them and they also deliver!

Great service! Great for kids. They have a dynamic atmosphere and colorful walls which make it feel family friendly. The waiters and waitresses are on point! The food is decent. They have a great selection with some very unique creations. But it wasn’t mind blowing or perfect. I didn’t have any beer but it looks like they have a good selection. Another plus is that the bar is separated from the dining area which makes the dining area feel more family friendly. I will definitely visit here again.

I enjoy the pizza and beer happy hour if i can get there by 7. Pizza can be a little greasy but it’s still great. The sandwiches such as the Phoenix are good but really should come with fries for being priced at $ 8. Bar is nice but a little small, not a lot of seating. I really enjoy the local history on the wall murals.

I want to like this place. I live right across the way. Cool spot, awesome selection, and disagreeing with some previous posters a nice staff. But, have went a handful times and the food is just ok. Not the best pizza. Not the best sandwiches. Not bad, but not just one really good item that keeps me wanting to go back.

I had a great lunch with my friend. We ordered italian fries, chicken corn chowder, greek pie, and chilli over spaghetti. First of all all together for two people was way too much. The fries were delicous and it came out first with the soup. The soup was good too but the chicken in the chowder was bland. Greek pie was individual sized but it was pretty big. It was like eating a warm and soggy salad. It had a strong olive taste. For the chilli over spaghetti, there was lots of beans and very little noodles. The chilli looked very healthy and it was really good. Reminded me of skyline chilli spaghetti. Overall pretty good but be aware of the amount… its a lot of food!

my friends and i find this to be a great place for dinner. we went here a few nights ago and Pizza is decent. They have many choices and all that I have had taste great. Service is great! Axel the guy with tattoos and a lip peircings is friendly and knowledgeable. Ordering an item in a special way is done correctly, not like a lot of other restaurants. . Good place, great food, quality find in the mosaic district in Merrifield, VA!

I did not like this place. Beer is beer, ok. Pizza is nothing special. Our disinterested, mumbling slacker waiter, complete with too cool-to-be-waiting-tables sleeve tats and lip ring, took our orders, evidently too bored to make eye contact with us squares. I got the signature«Cowboy» roast beef melt, which aside form being stingy with the fillings, was way overtoasted and fell apart as I picked it up, not to mention being utterly bland. No mustard or gravy. The«Italian fries» are just waffle fries from frozen package, again pretty bland. This is really glorified cafeteria fare served by disgruntled millennials. kthxbye Nice shill fail btw, lippy:

People are picky about their pizza — I get it. For me, I like a dough that is not so soggy and flimsy it will collapse in my hand. Lost Dog’s pizza pie dough is the opposite — and that’s why I keep coming back. Plus, they add a little semolina it seem to the bottom of the pizza and that gives the dough a nice not-burnt crunch. My personal pizza combo? Their spinach feta signature pie, the bacon and spinach are such a surprising but delish pairing. I will say that the price on the pizza racks up quickly when you customize, but a small pizza is good to share among 2 people in my house. Only downfall to this venue at merrifield is the lack of parking. The couple of parking lots they share with the apartments fill up extremely quickly at night so often times we will call ahead for pickup and wait at the curb to avoid the long struggle of finding a legal parking spot. Haven’t tried their valet option, that might be worth it if you’re there during valet times.

*Update– I was contacted by the Manager of the Merrifield Lost Dog Location the day after I posted my review. I’m really impressed by his desire to rectify the situation and help his business learn from the experiences we had. We will be giving this location another try! We liked the food here so that’s why we are giving them two stars but my husband ordered a 22oz Pumking by Southern Tier and the server obviously didn’t look in the cooler and brought him a warm one. We asked about it and at the end he said they didn’t have any in the cooler. So I walked over and found one that was extremely cold. I said something and he really didn’t say anything. We had finished our meal and we’re waiting for the check when he came up to the table with another opened one. By that point in time my husband didn’t want a second, And we were beyond ready to leave. He said something along the lines about«More For Me.» I wish he had either asked if my husband wanted a warm Beer before opening it, or owned up earlier to not checking the cooler. It’s just frustrating at a place that specializes in beer to have sub par service.

Ok, I’ve never had a bad meal here. Between the salads(get the Fat Willis), the sandwiches(my family loves the Irish Gyro), and the pizza… oh the pizza. I love pizza, and Lost Dog offers some very cool gourmet options. Notice I said gourmet, so you’re not getting a dollar slice here. That being said, the price is worth the taste. We order from here for delivery/takeout as well as go in for a meal(recommend parking behind them in the public garage). The craft beer selections are fantastic, and the service is spot on. I have no reason not to go here again and again, plus part of the proceeds go to a good cause in supporting abandoned pets.

Love lost dog. No better place in the area for good beers and sandwiches & you’re helping support a good cause with your purchase! The service is always friendly and speedy. We always spend so much time looking at their extensive menu, but I almost always get the downward dog sandwich. So yummy! The beer selection is also really good and they have a selection available for you to carry out as well.

Easily my favorite place to go to grab dinner and few great beers. I used to go with my Dad to the Westover location even before I could drink and was obsessed with it as a kid. I am now closer to this location and actually prefer it over the other locations. Bar area always seems to have a spot at the bar or a table open with 4 great TVs. Parking can be bad but since the construction has died it has seemed to get better as well. Food there I have always been a sandwich guy. I think I have had about 20 different sandwiches and never had one I disliked. With the newer addition you got to try the Bow Wow. Anything with the zesty horseradish is usually unreal as well(make sure to ask for it with dog collars or Italian fries as well)! I’m so in love with the sandwiches I have only had pizza a hand full of times but no complaints. Beer is always fantastic, they do a great job keeping their taps lined up with the season so you have more of the beers available that make the most sense for people to be enjoying. App is great as well since you can favorite your favorite beers and see if they are on tap at the location. Staff is great at any location, I have to say the bar always has a great music play list as well every time I am in there. Only complaint would be beer available to purchase to-go is usually fairly pricey but expected since its a convenient at a restaurant and not a grocery store If you haven’t tried this place yet you seriously need to get over there as soon as possible!

Great place for lunch, dinner, and late night. Pizza is the real deal here. They have many choices and all that I have had taste great. Service is sick, servers are friendly and knowledgeable. Most of all, the servers get it right the first time. Ordering an item in a special way is done correctly, not like a lot of other restaurants. Lost Dog Café has an impressive beverage selection from non-alcoholic to various types of beer and other spirits. They after open late for food and beverage. When the restaurant closes at midnight on Friday and Saturday, you can just shift into their bar just a couple steps away. Good place, great food, quality find in the mosaic district in Merrifield, VA!

Pizza, beer and the fact some portion of profit helps a very noble cause makes me truly like The Lost Dog Café. I’ve been 3x now and am surprised by the lower Unilocal ratings as the pizza ingredients are fresh and hot with a crust that is on thinner side. I respect Lost Dog’s «build your own» pizza model and choice of a whole wheat crust(at least make me think I’m healthy). The service I’ve had has been good, I’ve had Caitlyn. The ambience is all well done murals of dogs and cats. It’s bold and fun to see the artist’s creativity and makes for a great game of «I Spy» with a little one. The bar has good patronage in the evenings and they have a selection of beers that I’d say is only beat by World of Beer. Parking is a struggle in this area due to multi-year construction on neighboring shops and more apartments/condominiums. Towing is enforced even in the nearby vacant gravel lot(watched a vehicle left for no more than 2 minutes be towed). If you are a runner, there is a great ‘Eventbrite’ group through Four Corners Running that meets here each Monday evening at 6:30PM(followed by beer and pizza).

We stopped by here for a quick dinner on the way home and I was not so thrilled when I received my cheesesteak because it came with a piece of hair and had to wait all over again for the food and i was already starving. We returned the food as I was not going to touch it and they made me a new one & didn’t even charge it. They were apologetic and nice about the whole thing. I think price is fair and have good beer selections for sure but food is okay, nothing special in my opinion.

Decent pizza. The menu offers a lot of variety, but a lot of the pizzas are bland. The Polynesian is one of the tastier ones and I usually don’t like pineapple on my pizza. Italian fries are a must.

I’ll agree with the other reviews that the pizza here is kinda shitty. I mean its not the worst I’ve ever had(that goes to high school cafeterias and Amtrak) but I’m pretty sure they get their canned sauce from papa johns. Its nasty. The crust is soggy and I don’t like the overall texture. I’ll try this place once more and get a sandwich next time. Apparently it’s pretty hard to make pizza. Service was fine.
