Excellent physician. He was very patient and spent considerable time reviewing my prior history, medical background, and all activities related to my knee injury and gave me a very honest and practical recommendation. He is very kind and listens and does not rush the patient. I have 100 percent confidence in him. He is very experienced and very knowledgeable.

I have had two orthopedists help me with serious injuries. The second is Dr. Theiss, who operates out of Inova Fairfax. In fact I heard he was the head of the ortho department there. I saw him about five times. The first two visits were extremely long for a busy practice. In fact the nurse came in to remind him he was running behind — but, he said, he needed to get a better understanding of my specific problem. I got several injections from him and they were painless. I thought he was ultra-​competent.
