scratch made food is delish and they have every grocery item you could possibly need.

Got a 25% off coupon in the mail so decided to give it a try. Went in on a Saturday, place was deserted of customers. Lettuce and broccoli were limp most likely from sitting there for days. Store was difficult to navigate and for some reason, my cart slid on the over polished floor and was difficult to steer. Most prices were higher than that of other local stores. The store had some unique items and the take away/prepared items were fairly decent and make fresh on premise, but doubt I would go back, there are better choices out there with more reasonable prices.

Update — came back for a salad. It was very good… Everything was very fresh and tasty but I was disappointed to see their lack of vegetarian proteins. Even places like Whole Foods have tofu or other veggie«meats». They only had beans and their potato salad has bacon in it… Another disappointment. Add some veggie protein and you would be my favorite lunch spot!

Love BFresh! I try to get all my produce here because everything is really fresh. They’ve given me a discount at the register every time I’ve gone. Very social media driven so I would suggest liking their page on Facebook and downloading their app. One time I got 2 coupons — $ 15 off a purchase of $ 30 or more! They are much smaller than you’re typical grocery store with tight lanes so going with small children is a little challenging(but it can be done! I bring my 3 yr old). I prefer BFresh over WholeFoods any day.

I give it 5 stars because this place RULES. Long live B Fresh Market. Do what I do and get the stir fry. While they whip it together pick up a few things you need so you don’t have to swing by Stop & Shop. If you like food then this is the place.

I was really excited for B Fresh to open and I finally checked it out this week. First, the good things: staff is very extroverted and friendly, the store is extremely neat and clean, and for a smaller store it seemed like they had a good amount of stock. What really disappointed me was the quality of the fresh produce and meats(fish, specifically). I was hoping to buy some salmon and when I went over to the counter the fish was just dreadful looking. It was shiny and crusty-looking, like it had been out too long. The seafood counter is exposed above, and just has a glass shield around the front — perhaps this setup isn’t working for the speed that the fish is sold. Over in the fresh produce area the greens were wilted and the limes had patchy skin, same with the peppers, they just didn’t appear fresh. I had trouble picking anything out and just decided to thaw some meat I had at home. Perhaps these are just growing pains and things will get better after they’ve been open for a bit — will definitely check back again.

It’s like walking into WholeFoods, but half the price, and zero pretension. Very high quality. This place is already buzzing, and when the word gets out they will be jamming. Quality aside, they clearly have gone out of their way to find excellent employees that genuinely understand good customer service. They’re engaging and friendly, without being intrusive and transparently phony. WholeFoods itself is in the process of creating their own sister store with lower prices; AKA HalfFoods. These guys have beaten them to the punch, and it’s hard to imagine HalfFoods ever being half as good. Bravo.

I visited the store today and it definitely captured the feeling of a metropolitan grocery store. The store was very clean, the staff was extremely nice, and the produce looked good. This store is basically a shrunken down version of a Stop & Shop. Similar products, similar retail prices, but it is located downtown. There doesn’t seem to be as many sales though. I feel like this store would do really well if there was a lot of apartments in the downtown area and people wanted to walk to get groceries. I see myself coming here whenever I’m in the downtown area and I need to stop and get basic things like milk, eggs, bread, etc. But I don’t see myself going there as a destination store. I didn’t try any of there prepared foods, but they looked good. I plan on coming back to Bfresh within the next week.

Updating this review since I visited again today, in week two, and felt it deserves another star. Perhaps they are improving past opening hiccups. Vibe was much better, still awkward to navigate this store, but I encountered much friendlier employees, especially my checkout girl. I tried to catch her name tag, I believe it said«Emerald». She was lovely and if all the employees are as nice as her and if the store gets some shopping carts that aren’t impossible to steer, I may rethink my vow not to return after the opening coupon incentives are over. Still not going over 3 stars because with Mrs Greens, Whole Foods, The Pantry, and Trader Joes, I’m not seeing why we need more competition in a market that’s already pretty close to perfected in Fairfield.
