Good luck trying to get a reach of anyone in this place. Calling by phone: no worries VOICEMAIL will be there 24⁄7 to answer NONE of your questions, Walking in: no worries, just make you you come when it’s convenient for them. Like after their long lunch or while they tour a customer. Every time we walk to the office their only come back seems to be «you can just do it online» SERIOUSLY? My husband and I have lived here for a year and a half and we were incredibly lucky to have stumbled upon it. We moved up from San Diego and weren’t able to make an extra trip to look at places so, we basically did everything online beforehand and crossed our fingers we didn’t end up in a hell hole. To our luck, we definitely did not! The staff is very nice and helpful and the community is super quiet! We were in building 7 and the only real complaint I have is about the people that come around really late(8 – 9 pm) and try to sell you magazine subscriptions and that the lighting schedule for lights in the hall and stairways are always messed up. We would find ourselves walking down 3 flights of stairs into darkness praying we don’t miss a step and fall. The grounds are always well kept and maintenance issues are handled almost immediately. Our floor plan was the single bed and bath and had a great layout with the walk in closet in the bathroom and an open kitchen area! Full size washer and dryer and dish washer are in the units which could not be more convenient when it comes to apartment living. The main thing wrong with Bridgeport is that unfortunately the builders did not include garages, which is not a deal breaker for most. We tried living without one but, in the end decided it wasn’t ideal. I have read other reviews that their rent is expensive but, you need to realize that they go based on the market… and you live in the Bay Area, your rent is ALWAYS going to be expensive. You also get what you pay for; I always felt safe here and was never concerned with any weirdos walking around.

Oh, Bridgeport. You are the most deceiving apartment complex ever. THEGOOD: The first thing that attracted me to Bridgeport was the outside. It’s always kept neat and tidy and it seems like a real nice, quiet community. When taking the tours of the different floor plans, the full size washer, dryer, and dishwasher was another thing I loved. Also, the kitchen. The countertops and all the cabinet space that my floor plan offered was amazing to me. The bathtub is also big enough to actually take a REAL bath in. Recently they added Comcast to the list of their Internet and tv providers. The sad part is, they did it the DAYAFTER me and and my husband got bonded to a two year contract with crappy directtv and AT&T Internet. Damnit. THEBAD: One thing we noticed when we moved in was a musty sort of smell. We immediately thought it was the carpet, that maybe we had people who smoked in the apartment before us. We notified management and they immediately got our carpets cleaned. But when we returned after the job was done, we noticed the smell was still there. Turns out, it was MOLD. If you are trying to live in the bottom floor, beware. I’m told mold is most common on that floor. After closer inspection, it looks like the mold on the windowsills had been simply painted right over! Gross. It grows everywhere. Especially in the wintertime. Just from condensation on all of the windows. We have to wake up and wipe every single window down EVERYDAY in order to prevent this from happening. We notified management, they sent over maintenance. And they basically said keep doing what we’re doing and theres nothing they can do about it. Its a real pain in the butt. Our neighbors upstairs are SOSOSO noisy. It sounds like they’re jumping up and down in the middle of the night. Literally at 3 — 4 in the morning. Another price we pay for not wanting to live on the top floor and have to climb those dreaded steps. The walls also seem kinda thin. We can perfectly hear a conversation of someone walking by and we know whenever our neighbors are coming and going because you can hear their doors shut. THEUGLY: BEWAAAAAAREOFFLEAS!!! Yes, this is a pet friendly community. Needless to say, if you move into an apartment, ask about the previous owner. We moved in and it took us a couple days to figure out the whole apartment was flea infested. It was disgusting. I have scars all over my feet and legs from them biting me at night! And management was SO slow to take any kind of action. Our apartment had to be bombed not once but TWICE and then they bombed the apartment upstairs. After all of that, and a million phone calls to them later, it was finally flea free. They took $ 50 dollars off our rent one month to compensate even though we stayed out of our apartment for nearly two weeks. Whatever. In all, it looks like a great complex but its not worth all the money you pay… and you pay a LOT here. As soon as our lease is up, we’re O U T. Thanks for nothing, Bridgeport. You sneaky, sly, deceiving son of a bitch.

I lived here from 2010 – 2011. Boy you never know what you got till its gone… We moved in when the market price in the area was down so we paid 1030.00 per month plus utilities and garbage our bill came to a steady 1107 per month(ish)… Like other reviewers, this place’s billing was always messed up :/when we moved out they informed us that we hadn’t paid a 70 water/sewer bill and that the 70 had been being carried over for months! No one told me! And it wasn’t on our statement! Biggest problem… You are stuck with direct tv basically. You have no choices… Also, you can only get AT&T internet which suuucks. We lived in bldg 7 and the maintenance guy admitted people have problems with the internet in that bldg. Another issue… Parking is lame. Especially in the 6÷7÷8 bldg areas… There is ALWAYS. An abundance of parking near the office and over by bldg 1 and 2 but it is super far away from 6÷7÷8 almost a five minute walk! With groceries/bags ect you can see how this easily becomes a problem. We literally used to fight over parking spots… When you see one open you ge your butt up and move your car ASAP!!! Good thing is. that if you live in a one bedroom your pretty much separate from the two bedrooms… Which house the screaming children… That’s one thing I loved about living here… No children screaming ever… In bldg 6÷7÷8 they are all basically one bedrooms, and the bldg ½/¾ have all the larger apt’s. they are super far away from one another! Gym nice… Two tvs… Excellent. Sometimes the treadmills didn’t work… Pool small, but beautiful… Staff changed FOURTIMESINONEYEAR… It was truly horrible… No one could keep their job here… Ruben the maintenance guy was super nice… It took about a week with constant pestering to get the maintenance over, but I feel like that was the miscommunication between the office and maintenance… Not maintenance themselves. The big decision to move out came from them raising our rent almost 200 dollars because the«market price improved» crooks… Seriously almost 200 dollars?! And I guess now the smallest apt«the Brooklyn» is STARTING at 1200?! What a joke? We paid 1030 and thought that was way over priced. We now live at Broadstone at sterling village in Vallejo… Big problem… It’s in Vallejo… :/ The thing I miss the most is the peace an quiet… Oh bldg 7 you were such a pain at times… But man were you quiet! Oh and P. S. my car was broken into in my covered parking spot… My fault though… the ONETIME I left my door unlocked :/ugh whatever… But over Fourth of July weekend right before we moved out two separate cars were broken into directly in front of the office… one day apart. No gate for that added protection… anyone can get in… That sucks. Despite that… I felt super safe here my boyfriend and I would frequently take walks late at night(because of our work schedules) and never ever felt unsafe.

My son is active military and did not have time to press for maintenance items to be attended to. When we visited him in March, not even the heat was working and he had moved in the past summer. He had survivor training and could endure the low 60s temperature but we could not. When we asked for the heat to be turned on, the week-end emergency system did not respond. As a result the only way we could stay warm was to turn on the oven until it was eventually turned on two days later. The management says my son did not report things which is bull. There was mold on the paint near the bath tub and a missing drawer in the sink area. These items had to be noted when the previous tenants moved out and when my son moved in. In summary, if you move in, do not expect any deficiencies to be corrected without continuous nagging. And then, do expect too much at that.

Thanks to the only other reviewer, without your help I wouldn’t have found a great K9 friendly place to live with my 70lb dog. The place is nice in and out. Updated and modern designs and paint outside, high ceilings and big floor plans. Not too much more expensive than anywhere else for a one bdrm. Several different floor plans are available. Great new appliances even on the smallest apartments. All have full size washers and dryers and lots of power outlets and double panes glass throughout. The grounds are well cared for and very nice. We back up to a creekside dirt trail that is a giant circle to run walk or bike. It’s nice, but grubby with litter. Now the bad… PARKING Its very lacking. Guests will have to park near the management office and hike in. There are designated spots for guest, handicapped and a car washing slot, but there is usually a car parked in them. NOISE! The area here is very industrial and Pittman and Cordelia seem to be a favorite route of trucks of all sorts. There’s a trashy biker bar a block away that presents constant over compensating Harley noise. The result is hell of a lot of street noise. Though there are good windows if you want to open one, it’ll be loud. Third shifters will need earplugs even with closed windows. STAIRS. Because of the height of the ceilings, the buildings are tall. The third floors are a work out to climb daily. The views, are decent though. You’ll have to plan what you carry up and down four flights. My calves are seriously ripped now, no joke. DOGSHIT. Not exactly the facilities fault, but it’s everywhere. Since I moved in last Aug, there have been poop bags replenished only once, last week, in the end yard. Most owners are lazy and stupid and own poorly trained, yapping, under stimulated crap machines. Let me catch one of these owners and see if I don’t tell them. Pick up after your animals, morons! OFFICE. Plain sucks if you need to have something fixed. I had the carpet cleaned pretty quick though. You aren’t going to hear anything upfront about parking, noise, or anything else out of the management office. Everything with be glossy and or ignored on your first visit. There is a security detail that comes every once a blue moon from Sacramento to drive through the parking lot, useless really. Don’t expect lot security here. I don’t consider this place a safety risk though. The best thing of all is, dogs are happily accepted with low pet rent. Breed stipulations do apply, but not size. If my dog is happy, then I am too. Good luck. PS, Dog owners, look up point Isabel park in El Cerrito.

AWESOME! yes the yare EXPENSIVE and you are going to be paying more then an other parts of fairfield, however at bridgeport your car and apartment have a much less chance of getting broken into then any of the other properties in the area. Their really isn’t that much crime here, the units are beautiful the grounds are always clean, they plan events for the residents and you can have dogs here like without a size restriction there are people who have great danes. and all the residents are also VERY good about cleaning up after their pets! live here you wont regret it
